We’re known for wood-fired pizzas, mini burgers, fresh salads and chef-inspired entrées, like pan-seared sea bass and oven-roasted filet mignon. It’s American bistro fare, crafted from high quality ingredients with a chef at the helm in every kitchen.

Matchbox draws in passersby with oversized windows lining the sidewalk and a front-row view of the blazing pizza oven. Once indoors, the vibe remains warm and residential, as though guests are being welcomed into the Matchbox home. The design achieves this effect through elements like draperies to soften some of the more industrial edges and add texture, open shelving and wine displays, light gray wood wainscotting, and hardwood flooring throughout to lend natural warmth. Hand-painted murals from local artists add further context to the neighborhood, and bring in a touch of personality as well.

Outdoor seating on patios along both Woodmont Avenue and Elm Street offer plentiful people-watching in warmer months.

Great Father’s Day celebration. Waiter was not very attentive and super busy. Food was great, live DJ on point.

Nene was a great waitress. The food was good and she even gave amazing recommendations. Would highly recommend this brunch!

We were offered a quiet spot to sit, which was really great. The staff were not all on the same page about what brunch options were being offered and it took quite awhile to get it sorted. Even though our room was quiet, the rest of restaurant was quite busy and service, while polite and friendly, was a little unsettled. Table set for four and not six-had to retrieve own silverware. Only 4 water glasses served. Food was generally ok, but in some cases didn’t match the menu (no butter on pancakes, syrup cold, not warm). Peach mimosa was outstanding.

A very mixed experience; food was good overall, but service was lacking. They messed up an order, took it back to fix it, forgot about it, and then delivered it again once everyone else at the table had already eaten. At that point, the dish should have been comped. For the price, I do not think it lived up to expectations and I probably would not go back.

The quantity and quality of the food has substantially declined. The noise level is very high due to poor acoustics. It’s hard to hear yourself think. When serious food errors were made, a $10 discount was offered. Given what happened, this is derisory and frankly insulting. The “all inclusive” menu options are terrible and not good value. We will never go back. Thank you.

The food was good, but the service was lacking. Our server rarely checked on us, which meant we were without drinks for too long. Dirty dishes weren't removed promptly. We weren't offered the dessert menu. Only realized after we had left that there even was a dessert menu.

We had a wonderful time. The service was amazing. Great music playing in the background. The food was fresh. Nice size portions. Great variety special shout out to Eduardo, Johnthan and Erik and the new girl who started today. I wish I had her name. They took really good care of my party and I’m looking forward to returning and sharing this experience with others.

My reservation was at 145 and I did not see the waitress until 2pm. She barely came to our table. We had to ask a table busser to find her when we needed her. We would see so many waiters/servers walking around except ours. There was no urgency or care for that matter. We had our small glass of water refilled once in two hours. We had to ask the waiter from another table for water. We were not attended to. We saw the waiter next to us every five to ten minutes visiting his table. If this is the standard, we will not return to this location or we’ll just sit at the bar. Not so great for our first experience.
