If it ain't broke, don't fix it! When in NYC, we are here at least 1x per week. That says it all, doesn't it?
Great find in the area. Very clean and staff professional and friendly. Well prepared food. Would highly recommend!
Typical French Bistro
Lots of people going to The Armory
Ran into friends
made it even more fun
We came here for an early dinner after a show at the Park Avenue Armory. My dad loves French Brassieres so I thought it would be perfect. We wanted to sit outside but there were only a few tables, so we opted for a table inside near the door to enjoy the lovely weather and breeze. The only down side was we were right next to the hostess station so at times it was a bit busy. The mussels were great and I had the Shrimp Provencal which was the special for the day, they were good, a little overcooked but the ratatouille was very tasty. Our first waitress was not very attentive at all, but we were there at a shift change and the next shift waitress was wonderful. I would return to enjoy some of the other menu items!
excellent atmosphere and spectacular food. close to the armory so great for preheater.
Match 65 is a small, pleasing bistro just off Park Avenue and a block from the Park Avenue Armory. The menu offers classic French bistro, including plats du jour. The clientele is decidedly Upper East Side, so expect prices that, while not unreasonable, might surprise you. It's definitely the place to go before or after a mind-bending performance at the Armory.
We love this restaurant and go there every time we're in New York. This past visit was to introduce it to friends who actually live in the city and they were charmed by it.
We had dinner at Match 65 prior to going to a show at the nearby Park Avenue Armory. It has an authentic French bistro ambience which we enjoyed. The food was good and there is a nice range of menu choices. Note that the tables are quite close together, so not great for a private conversation.
Food is consistently good, French bistro fare. The place is always busy and there isn't much space but the atmosphere is relaxed and staff is accommodating. Our go-to place in the neighborhood.
Ottima cena. Personale gentilissimo. Cibo squisito. Ottimo anche con bambini
Fresh and great quality food, good and attentive service! Highly recommend! Wonderful casual dining.
Just like being in Paris
What I love about Match 65, other than the ambience and location, is the food. It's always first rate and FRESH! You feel it's prepared for you and hasn't been sitting around in a steam bath for hours on end. So the artichoke I started with was heavenly, the dover sole special was sublime.
My dining partner had a very generous caesar salad and the sole as well. The pouilly fume was the perfect accompaniment. We had no time for dessert but vowed to be back for the profiteroles. We were both happily satisfied.
Match 65 Brasserie is a charming, small french restaurant with delicious food. We tried their salads, the Coq au Vin special, and their ravioli. All were excellent. The price point is not what is indicated on Open Table though, it should have a $$ rating. Wine by the glass prices are very high, as are full bottles. The cocktails are good and so is the beer on tap.
First time visit, late night after a show at Park Ave Armory. Very enjoyable in every way. Expect to return when we're next in the neighborhood.
The food was very good, the lunch prices reasonable, and the service friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to share a soup as appetizer (in two small bowls) which a lot of restaurants balk at. I do not like a huge portion of soup. One possible alert: there were some very noisy people at the bar when we arrived. Fortunately they left. Good to ask for a table away from the bar. Mercifully there was no music. They have seating outside for warmer weather. We will go back.
Good food, good service, fast and polite. Definitely would recommend.
The food, staff & service are always amazing! I love Caesar salad with shrimp and the Black angus burger w/ blue cheese.
Visitors from Scotland
The service was great, food was great, atmosphere was nice. My only complaint is that I ordered a Baileys after dinner and received a knockoff brand. I did not appreciate that old bar trick. It was corrected after I complained.
Realistic French Brasserie. Entrecôte and frites were as in Paris.
Delicious moules... great service.... what more do you want?
Just the place for me for good food with great company. Love the ambience super friendly staff with great altitude. I’ll be back next time I’m in town :)
Excellent food - really good steak, escargot and pate de compagne. No busy - attentive staff. Perfect place for low key gathering.
I love this place. Staff is warm and friendly. Never disappointed by their recommendations.
Table was cramped, not enough room for 4 people. Asked hostess to move, she said no.
Match 65 is always delicious, cozy and friendly. We will continue to return there. A family favorite.
Match 65 may be the closest Manhattan has to a true Parisian brasserie. The ambiance is perfect, the service is superb, and the food is quite good. This is definitely worth a try if you are anywhere near the neighborhood.
Very pleased with the service and food. The service people were attentive & professional.
I sat on a cushion bench which was very comfortable but my partner thought the chairs were a little uncomfortable.
The special Sunday Coq au Vin with red wine stew was excellent!Perfect service. We have been to Match65 many times in the last few months, and the experience has always been great. Highly recommend it !
We enjoyed our lunch very much...We chose the Restaurant Week menu...While the selection was very limited, the food was very good. The Crepe Suzette Flambe was awesome.Beware though the cocktails are quite expensive. The wait staff was very attentive and the ambiance was very French...Enjoyed our lunch
The restaurant reminded me of one I’d visited in Paris. Beautiful decor, awesome food and great service! Loved it!
Food is to die for. You must go. Authentic french food, just delicious!!!
Wonderful French food and service. Trout and crepes were outstanding. Service very friendly and efficient. My friends & I felt we were in Paris while centrally located on the Upper East Side!
Went for restaurant week and was not disappointed. Every single course was delicious and the staff is beyond nice!
Not a single dish was good and one was literally inedible. Wine list is mediocre and grossly overpriced. Noise levels are numbing. But if you want to have a mediocre meal in a Disney version of a French bistro this might be your sort of place. On a positive note, the people running it are very nice.
We just moved in the neighborhood and Match 65 has quickly became our number one place to go. Parisian busy atmosphere, excellent food and great service.
Staff were friendly and very attentive.
Vegan cauliflower soup was delicious and the steak frites was cooked to perfection.
Will definitely be back!!
I really enjoyed my lunch. excellent choices of appetizers and entrees. The service could have been better. We were given our checks before we were served our coffee.
We had the pleasure to have lunch there. Excellent restaurant with bubbly atmosphere, very good service and food. Going back for Brunch today!
