Match 65 Brasserie (formerly Paris Match)
All food really good. Had to signal for our waiter a few times to get what we needed
Excellent restaurant week choice! Pate & mussels were amazing!!! And the dessert was delicious, too.
The nicest nicest people. First my husband burned the menu, then he spilled his wine. Everyone was so understanding A new glass of wine was served immediately. This was followed by a most delicious dinner for both of us. The apple tartin was
Fabulous. A great restaurant!!
It is wonderful to return to France without having to travel there. The food is very good and very French, although they seemed to forgotten to add enough garlic with the snails. The choice of wine by the glass is outstanding. We will be back!
Overall really liked it. Service was not that attentive. But very nice when they finally paid attention.
Too loud! Very cramped space with tables on top of one another.
But staff is friendly and accommodating and food very good.
We went for Sunday brunch while visiting NYC. Food was great! Service was even better!! I had eggs benedict which was delicious. My friend really enjoyed her brioche french toast, too. I'd recommend this place to everyone.
Blonde hostess was indignant when a taste of a second wine was requested. Had a nasty attitude and felt she was doing us a favor by giving a second tasting stating we only “give one tasting “.
A special Brasserie. The food is s though you were in Paris
Nice place and tasty foof
Looks just like a traditional brasserie in France--cozy tables, mirrors, French aperitif posters. And the menu reflects the same tradition. If you want brasserie food--and who wouldn't?--Match 65 is a terrific choice. The steak frites, the moules, the pasta, the salade Nicoise, the frites--oh, those frites, how do the French make them so very delicious every time?--everything is excellent. Highly recommended for when you long for a taste of Paris.
My friend’s daughter lives hamburgers so I could not help but have her trying the best cheese burger in town!
We had an amazing NYE dinner at Match 65 :) We ordered blue point oysters, Maine lobster + caviar, and prime filet mignon from their special and they were all excellent!!
Amazing food and staff! NYE was unforgettable
Exceptional food and service!
My third visit in few weeks..
And you never disappointed me !! Incredible Swiss cheese hamburger with delicious French Fries. My friend had the trout and she said it was the best ever!
Great venue and wonderful food. Don’t tell too many people!
My family was vacationing from Texas, we ate here in 2017 and loved it so much we decided to come back
A friendly, quiet place with prices that are reasonable for that neighborhood.Competent but not especially tasty French food.
My husband and a friend and I went there after the theater at 9:45. It isn’t a late-night place and there were only three or four tables left. I would have given Match 65 an outstanding rating if it hadn’t been for the lackluster service. We got off to a slow start, and the busboy kept taking away the glass I was given for bottled water, but eventually we were given(?) a server who was attentive, efficient and friendly. That said, we all thought the food was terrific. The country pâté was the best we’ve ever had; we also shared the escargots and the artichoke, all excellent. We moved on to steak frites, steak au poivre (not on the menu but made at my husband‘s request), and bouillabaisse, fabulous. The chef really knows what he’s doing! We drank a great Morgon, a good value at $54, with dinner. We will definitely go back.
The food was generally good, but the bouillaibaise (which was the dish of the day and quite expensive) was too salty and the fish was not palatable)
We had a great Christmas dinner on the spur of the moment at Match. A great bistro! To top it all off,!he gent next to me told
Me I was sitting at the magic table. Turned out he proposed to his wife there and they were back with their son to have dinner! Only in New York
First visit. Great small restaurant just off Madison-midtown north.
Food was wonderful (the trout cooked to perfection-not a single bone) Service prompt and attentive...on a very busy night-Christmas day. Extensive wine list. We’ll be returning.
It was my second time at the restaurant and I really like it but this time my order ( croque monsieur) wasn't good...
Went there for Christmas Day brunch. Love the atmosphere. Friendly staff and very prompt service. The Eggs Benedict were okay, not a whole lot of seasoning. The steak frites was cooked as ordered (rare) but the piece of meat was chewy and stringy. Not something I would expect for a $40 plate. Fries with both meals were good. Good tea and coffee. Blood Mary's are also okay but we have certainly had better cocktails at other restaurants for cheaper price.
Had a very enjoyable Christmas Eve dinner! The French onion soup was great, as well as the perfectly cooked Dover Sole! Also, loved the crepe dessert! Though it’s a small restaurant, it does not feel too cramped and the ambience was casual and festive!
I had the best steak tartar on this side of the Atlantic Ocean.
Best French Onion Soup and Trout Amondine I’ve ever had. Service was top notch. Fellow diners were fun too!
Too noisy, would never return.
We would recommend Brasserie 65 for its authentic French Bistro atmostphere and food, but it is especially recommended as a pre-theatre dinner venue to anyone attending one of the excellent performances presented at the near-by Armory.
I just moved in the neighborhood and this is just the best find on the upper east side so far. Steak tartare was the best I ever had and I pair that with a side order of Brussels sprouts with cipollini onions, chestnuts and bacon ....delish!!
Food good ....service excellent....great choice for lunch.
Overpriced and tables are way too close together. Food was fine but not exceptional.
The place is cosy, the service is very good and the food excellent. The only minus for us, was the very high noise level. Everybody was screaming.
If you’re cool with noise, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Great food and service. Nice neighborhood gem!
While the service was hospitable and the food OK, the noise level was unbearable and the dinner was overpriced .
Sunday brunch. The food was great but the service was a little on the slow side. It may not have been an issue but for the fact that one of our friends had a flight to catch. Nice atmosphere.
Delicious food and excellent service. We will return soon!
Divine as always! Loved my salmon and everyone was thrilled with their steaks, and steak tartar!
