A modern, Spanish-inspired steakhouse with flavorful cuts, exemplary wine and bold drinks. Within a dramatic setting, Matadora blends unique Spanish dishes with classic staples for a unique, bull-stopping dining experience.
Food, drinks and service were all excellent, however it was our friend’s birthday and we marked this on the reservation but it was not acknowledged by our server.
Food was delicious. They had live music and it was very good. Service was not the best.
We would most definitely be back. While good, the pork chop was a little tough. The short rib was very good but for the price and only one, I don't think it was worth the amount charged. The hamburger was very good. as were the apps.
The service was excellent.
It is very noisy. We were in the center of the room so it may be a little quieter near the windows, which is were we will ask to be seated when we go next time. If it were not for the music helping to drown out the noise from the pool I think we would have found it very annoying
Our server, Kenny was great! We will be requesting him from now on. Everything was great now please get a few dessert wines on the menu!
I loved the Spanish Guitar player. Very transporting music. We had exceptional service from our waitress and the food was delicious. I would definitely go again.
Great staff and food. Being in a hotel atrium makes it noisy. With a 6 story ceiling and sharing space with an indoor hotel pool that had screaming kids put it a bit over the top.
Belated birthday party celebration. party of 6. Restaurant staff very accommodating. Fun, delicious dining experience
Great food. Waite staff was overrun.
Ate here twice while staying at the Woburn/Boston Hilton. Both meals were excellent and the place exhibited a nice buzz.
Food was mediocre, drinks were excellent. Atmosphere was nice, service was ok.
Excellent dining experience.
Next time I'll try the kitchen-side seating so I can watch the "show."
Amazing food! We got a few tapas and drinks. The tuna tartare was so yummy! There was live music and the ambience was nice
Our waitress had no personality and barely spoke to us, sometimes just dropping a plate on the table and walking away. The food was very good, drinks just ok. I was excited for the sangria flight, but was underwhelmed with the flavors of each. The tapas menu is good, would’ve liked more choices from the main course menu.
Great food but exceptional Service. My server's name was Rose I believe and she was one of the nicest, most outgoing and best servers I have had in a long time.
We loved our date night at Matadora! We ordered a bunch of tapas and our food and drinks were excellent!
I will go back. Still so many things to try on the menu! Made a few great decisions and some I regret during my last visit.
It's a nice restaurant and menu with good selection of drinks! We all loved the pineapple sangria. The street corn was also delicious! Be aware it's very open to the hotel lobby and the hotel room balconies overlook the restaurant, so limited ambiance. Also very limited tapas for those with shellfish allergies so carefully read the menu if your party has food limitations.
Amazing dinner again!! Service is always on & the food is to die for!! Great experience!!
Matadora has a great tapas menu, with both traditional and innovative choices. The paella, too, was outstanding. In addition to excellent food, the sangria flight was the most generous flight I have had. All in all a great dining experience.
We were disappointed with the table we got. Made a reservation on Tuesday for Saturday night and was given a small table in the corner of the bar. We didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant. Our service was good but our waiter was actually the Matre' D. Guess they were short on help. Food was good but not a great first time experience and as a result we won't rush back.
They still have a few kinks to work out but the food is great, drinks are great and live music after 8pm on Fridays.
Food was very good. Our waitress was very attentive. Liked the live music. We had the table next to the kitchen which was a little big for 5 but loved watching the action in the kitchen.
Service could have been better for sure
Was hoping to try a new place for brunch. Certainly not the case. Very limited food selection and was not quick to refill the food once it was taken. The plates and utensils were dirty and had to stop the staff to find clean ones. Even had to track down condiments.
We had seen the restaurant on the Phantom Gourmet and decided to try it out.
What a great atmosphere and time we had there.
The food was tremendous and the service was great!
We can’t wait to go back!
Great food, but simply not enough wait staff for a busy Saturday night
Great place... Street corn, the steaks and the bone in pork chop were delicious. Thank you
Bar is great. Food is good. Service in the dining room is poor. There was no one in the dining room when we were seated but we had to wait for anyone to acknowledge us. They did not give us the Dine Out Week menu until we asked. We had to ask the manager for the check.
I went to Matadora for Dine Out Boston. Food was delicious - I had the Baby Kale Salad, Paella and Churros. Our server was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely go back!
The host/manager was an absolute delight, and checked on us throughout the meal.
The service was good overall, but we over ordered signicantly at her suggestion. Food was good but we ended up paying for a lot of food we didn’t eat - and oysters, tuna tartare and shrimp toast are not doggy bag material. Drinks were awesome.
An unexpected find--a really good Spanish restaurant in a Hilton, and in Woburn. We enjoyed our 5 tapas dishes in spacious surroundings. Wish there had been more meat and veggie tapas options on the menu, but what we ordered was very tasty. Very good choice of Spanish wines.
My wife and I were enjoying a night out, and we had heard great things about Matadora. So we stopped for dinner. Honestly, dinner at Matadora was truly a highlight!! We shared two entrees (short ribs, paella) and they were both amazing. The short ribs were so tender and flavorful, and the paella was full of ocean goodness. We both got sangria (red, pineapple) and they were delicious! This was our first time at Matadora, but it will certainly not be our last! Only regret is not having visited sooner! Oh yeah... get a table by the open kitchen and you'll be in for a show. Watching the food go on and off the charcoal grill just made our mouths water! Highly recommended!
Relaxed atmosphere. Service was great.
The food was outstanding. The Paella was some of the best I have ever had. The grilled shrimp exquisite.
Rose did a great job as our server, food was excellent and prompt, atmosphere was perfect for a fun dinner with me and my partner!
Great spot for date night and some unique food offerings. Loved the dimly lit atmosphere with the fantastic aroma of the wood fired grill and live Spanish guitar music enhancing the experience.
Really enjoyed the tapas offerings- street corn, flaming chorizo, and wood charred shishito peppers were all excellent. Plenty of great options from the cocktail menu and draft beer list. Waitress was very friendly and provided great service throughout the meal. Seemed to be some delays/issues with food runners getting items to table. Waitress did a good job of following up to make sure items got delivered from kitchen. Churros were good, but could have been better. The churros and chocolate dipping sauce weren’t as warm/hot as they should have been - maybe food runner issue. Overall a great dining experience and look forward to going back.
This was our first time at Matadora. My husband and I went Saturday night and it was wonderful. It was a very unique feel to it. ! We definately would come again.
No good. We pre alerted that it was our birthday. We had to tell you to clean our table and give us a bowl for mussel shells and a steak knife for meat. No Birthday anything. Jr manager said she make it right by reducing our cost. Make it right the first time. They didn’t give me my dessert doggie bag. There will be No third time back. Too many good restaurants around town. We gave you every chance and it was one faux pax after another. Overall review. “Not so good at Matadoras”. Last time manager Chris DeStefano. Made it right immediately and gave us his card. Last night I couldn’t tell who was actually managing the place. It was a joke of an experience. We are both excellent home chefs and going out has to be about a wonderful experience. You blew it big time. Telling everyone who I recommended it to after Valentine’s Day to just not bother. And the food wasn’t quite as good as it was that other time.
Started off nice. We had to wait for our seat, which we didn't mind. Manager brought us drinks which we appreciated. We ordered the Restaurant Week menu. Then things seemed to slow down. Getting first course was kinda slow, then getting the main course was very slow and it all come out too salty for both the mushroom ravioli and seafood paella. The latter was also overly spicy. Then service just seemed non-existent and we were done with the place. Cost did not match what we got.
Surprisingly good. Food very good except dessert which was ok but nothing special and took forever to come out from kitchen. Service fell off as place got busier. Need mor staff? Better systems? Staff members friendly and responsive when interacting. Noise not bad although not quiet; could enjoy table conversation easily. Plenty of free parking. Definitely recommend.
Food was good. Venue & atmosphere were very nice. Service was terrible. Extremely slow. Waiting a long time for food & drinks. Hopefully it was just a one off experience
