Mastro's Steakhouse - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
My dry aged steak was over aged and tasted like blue cheese. It was taken away and acknowledged to be bad. We never had the manager stop at our table to apologize. Our wait person was so involved with a table of men that we received minimal attention. She disappeared for long lengths of time and forgot our requests for a wine and extra butter. We could not help but start laughing at the whole experience.
Mastro's is always an 'experience' so we tend to save it for special occasions, which this was. The table we requested was reserved for us along with a rose and complimentary dessert. Food and service are always top notch. The staff is so professional, from the wait staff to serving staff. This is our 'Go To' restaurant.
Celebrating engagement and Mastro's made for the perfect setting. Great service, awesome food and beautiful room. When you're spending more than you would for a typical night out you expect something exceptional and Mastro's deliver's. From the dry ice martini's to the customized seafood tower, they did not disappoint. If you're looking to celebrate that special event, put Mastro's on the itenrary, you'll love it.
We love dining out at Mastro's Steakhouse. The food is always great and the wine list exceptional. I try to request the same server, because I know we will have outstanding service. The only negative was the seating--we were a foot away from the table next to us. You could not have a private conversation even if you whispered! I wish they would have opened all the areas of the restaurant that evening. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening!
Very noisy from the bar music, if I wanted to hear that much I would have sat in the bar.
Spinach must of had a salt shaker drop, couldn’t eat it. By time I found the server I was done with my meal, no value there
Steak was tasty by certainly not worth cost based upon the grizzle. I understand you never know what the meat is going to be like but I’m the one that had to eat and pay for it.
While a visit to Mastro's is usually a very special treat, this occasion proved to be lacking in service. We were a group of 5 and there was a group of 4 seated 30 minutes after us that ate and left before we received our entree. Dirty plates were left on the table and we sat waiting for dessert options to be offered but we were ignored until we flagged down our server after 20-30 minutes. Very uncharacteristic but also quite disappointing given what is charged.
Excellent as always! The food was expertly prepared. I was a little disappointed with the service this time in. We had a party of 6 and a couple of times one of us had a question or something we wanted to order and our server was too quick to leave the table and we needed to wait for awhile for resolution. Otherwise a phenomenal night.
This was our first time, and it was beyond our expectations. Our waiter Drew was exceptional from the welcome, menu suggestions and your butter cake on the house!! He's a keeper. Thank you for the awesome experience since we were celebrating a special occasion.
We celebrated New Years Eve with friends at Mastro's and had a wonderful time! The food was fabulous and the service was excellent, particularly for such a busy holiday. I would recommend this restaurant highly for a special occasion or a nice upscale meal.
We went here on New Year’s Eve. Though we waited 30 minutes for our reservation, it was worth it. Once we were seated, service couldn’t have been better. Our server Ari (spelling?) was magnificent as were all those who served with him. We enjoyed our conversation with the General Manager, who let us know how much they appreciated our patience with being seated. The lamb chops were so good, the filet was like cutting through butter. Asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes finished dinner. Oh did we mention their butter cake for dessert? We tried the original butter cake and the chef’s chocolate butter cake creation. That was good, but almost too chocolatey, so stick with the original. Definitely a perfect dinner to end 2017!
Rose Mastro‘s never disappoints. Superior service from maître d’ to wait staff to busboys, the attention to detail and focus on satisfying the customer is first rate. Combine that with outstanding food, in large quantities, prepared to perfection and you have a five star, first rate restaurant. The only downside to me was the live music in the bar could be heard in the restaurant . Wow that I’ll Beyonce works well for many people. The noise level was somewhat louder than I would have preferred while sitting in the bar having drinks with friends.
We had Christmas dinner at Mastros Steakhouse. It was Absolutely one of the best meals with amazing service and great live music! Sitting in the piano bar was fun and our server Ashley was incredible!! Definitely get the crab cocktail to start. This restaurant is hands down one of the best!!
We've been here many times. I won't go again. I couldn't believe on Christmas Day we were herded through like cattle. From start to finish it was less then 90 minutes. Our waitress said they were serving at least twice the normal amount of diners the last 12 days, and working 12 hour shifts with no days off. Who is at fault here? Surely not the patrons who are paying top dollar for the food, and the dining experience. Not that anyone cares at this establishment,
I won't be back!
We ordered a lobster but we're told when they opened it...it wasn't good! The tuna tartare was practically frozen, tasteless & clearly made hours before being served. Finally the bill comes with a charge of 2 glasses of rose wine at $46 each. When we pointed this out we were told he accidentally rang in a charge for 2 bottles instead of 2 glasses. When they brought over a revised bill we were told they removed the total charge of $32 which was the charge for 2 glasses. Nice right? Well yes except for the fact that instead of rechecking the bill we assumed it was correct & went home. When my wife checked the bill later she noticed while they had taken off the $32 wine charge, they neglected to remove one bottle of rose @$46 which we never re with ed or ordered. We have sent emails to Maestros & have yet to hear from them. I plan on going in tomorrow night to speak to the manager with my receipt. NO, I WOULD NOT EVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT!
I am a huge Mastro’s fan! However, this last visit was my worst experience yet. A corner table near a service area felt like punishment. The wait staff was nice, but off their game. Blue Cheese on the wrong steak and ginger ale glass filled with water is not in keeping with a dining establishment at this price point.
