   First Time at Mastro’s everything was amazing. The service & Food was top notch. The tiger prawn was amazing along with the Tomahawk chop.

   Our first day in San Francisco ended on an incredibly high note. We thoroughly appreciated the hospitality and excellent service we received. The food was delicious, well-prepared and at the right pace. What a great time we had!

   The service from our waiter was impeccable! Dante was extremely knowledgeable about the menu! He was also very professional, courteous, and friendly! My 12oz. Steak was cooked perfectly throughout! All of our food was served hot and remained so throughout. The menu had “Happy Birthday Lewis” at the top of the page. A very classy and pleasing gesture and, an absolute first for me! We were celebrating my 71st Birthday and our experience was a happy one! Thank You Dante and The manager Brian. We will be returning!

   Excellent restaurant, superb in all respects. We had one order of Chilean seabass and one of steak, and the server split the two so we each had "surf and turf." He also split the house salad, and we had enough asparagus and baked potato that one order of each did for both of us. Fabulous, elegant evening before the theater nearby.

   We recently had a fantastic dining experience at Mastro's Steakhouse in downtown San Francisco. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was absolutely perfect—elegant, welcoming, and full of energy without ever feeling overwhelming. The seafood was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, and of course, the steaks were just outstanding — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their wine list was impressive too, offering a great range of selections that paired beautifully with the meal. The exceptional service tied everything together. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to ensuring every detail of the evening was right. They help make this private celebration even more special. What surprised me the most was that they called the next day to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Of course it was! If you're ever in San Francisco and looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I can’t recommend this place enough!

    My wife and I do frequent "Staycations" at hotels near Union Square. We always try to incorporate one or more Fine Dining experiences. We don't normally choose Steak Houses but so many appetizer and sides on the menus caught my attention. On entering the restaurant, we were welcomed and escorted upstairs where the actual restaurant is located. On the corner of Geary and Mason, large windows are along both those walls providing nice views and lighting. We chose an appetizer, soup, salad, steak, and one side. When we indicated we would be sharing, they offered to split the soup, salad, and steak into separate servings. Everything was delicious, especially the lobster bisque which had a lot of meat and the A5 Wagyu. They had an excellent selection of wines by the glass and featured several "smoking" cocktails. The service was excellent with our server providing excellent advice to aid in our choices. They also offer live music every evening. We will definitely be back to try more items on their menu.
