From start to finish, this meal was absolute perfection! The Caesar salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed—creamy, tangy, and just the right amount of crunch from the croutons. Then came the star of the show: the steak. Cooked exactly to order, with a beautiful sear on the outside and juicy, tender goodness inside. Every bite was mouth-watering and full of flavor. The baked potato was the ideal side—fluffy inside, with a perfectly salted, crisp skin and loaded with all the fixings. Every element of the meal was served at the perfect temperature and tasted like it came straight from a dream. We were surprised with 2 deserts (as it was my birthday) and there were absolutely scrumptious.. thank you to Lisa our server and the manager Tatiana Truly a 10/10 experience!

Dinner was good, ceasar salad was delicious. Porterhouse was great, Bone In Ribeye was average. The problem was the plate was too hot which caused the temperature of the meat to continue climbing as it rested. Also the plate affected the sides. Creamed corn, scalloped potatoes, and creamed spinach. Service was friendly and prompt. Better steakhouse options in SF but Mastro’s is a decent place.

One of the worst Steakhouse experiences ever. From our party of 4, 3 people had a rough night because of heartburn after our dinner. The Sorbet was sugar water with food coloring and the tongue of above three people 18 hours later still shows red from the food coloring. Lobster Mashed potatoes was not worth the money and creamed Spinach was blend. Sauce Bearnaise didn’t deserve its name and the whipped cream served with the Sorbet was not freshly made but most likely Ready-Wip. David, our waiter, tried very hard to please us. One positive was the generous portion the did on the House Cabernet which was good. Do we regret the $700 we spend? U bet we do!

I am from Southern California and I frequent this restaurant. Here in San Fransisco I requested standard seating and was placed in the Bar with High Top Chairs and Table. It was extremely loud and we could barely hear each other speak the noise even interfered with the piano playing and singing and we were placed in front of the entertainment. The food was delivered cool, the lobster mac & cheese had soft overcooked pasta and lacked the richness which it is known for. My Sea Bass was cool to the touch and the broccolini was under cooked to the point I had to utilize the knife to cut as it was difficult to just bite or poke with the fork. The Service Manager never presented to the table and waiter hit and miss. I do not return food items, I just do not return when it is this level of fine dining with this many errors during one service.

I've visited this place a few times, and the service is usually great. However, this time it was disappointing. I ordered appetizers and drinks, but the waiter seemed to have forgotten about us since no one came to refill our water. All of our drinks and appetizers arrived at the same time as our main courses, and they still overlooked some of our side orders. While the food was good, the service left something to be desired—I’m not sure what went wrong that day.

I was seated at a table with eight extra wine glasses. The young hostess sat me at the table and it was a staking drop off for some other servers. The hostess was oblivious and my sever didn’t really see a problem until I pointed out to him. ??? I was polite but was disappointed from the time I was seated. This has never happened to me before while dining at any of the other Mastro locations. My bake potato was only warm at best. Same issue six month’s ago as well. Big cold bake potato served to me twice at this location. Slightly warm not cold. S.F. Location gets a B -
