Aaron was excellent and attentive. I really enjoyed my first time in this restaurant for my man’s birthday! He enjoyed as well.
We celebrated our 40th Wedding anniversary in NY this past weekend and went to Mastro's for dinner. We had been there 2 years ago and it was memorable, so we were sure to put it on our return list. Our waiter, Mark Franks was an outstanding waiter. There aren't enough words to describe him as he was just WONDERFUL with us. He didn't rush us, made great recommendations and was very attentive. He even had an anniversary slice of cake sent to our table with a candle. The steaks there are top quality as is the restaurant. Thank you.
Special thanks to Mark!
Mastro had and outstanding service Kelsey was amazing she made our Anniversary Dinner soooo special they all did thank you and we will be back soon oh can’t forget about how amazing the Food Taste
beautiful place. very good menu. great service. attentive. friendly.. pricey. even for NYC.. upstairs is very noisy with live music.. we went downstairs which was better... very nice place..
The food was great. For some reason we were put in the basement of the restaurant instead of on the main floor where all the music and entertainment was. Tge bottom floor was very quiet and ordinary.
Best steak in NYC! Place is amazing. Great drinks. Very expensive but worth it!
Food and the service was amazing. I love the live music. Will definitely go again.
Food was amazing, service was excellent, only think that I didn't like
was the noise level.
Great place but tooooo loud. Been there 10x and decided this was my last time. Place is louder than a club, can’t talk to the person next to me let alone across the table.
Great food, Great atmosphere, Great service!! Highly recommend if in NYC!!
If you like shouting at your dinner guests, you'll like Mastros. Way, way, way too loud. Normal NYC steakhouse, nothing remarkable. Service was spotty (had to flag down service staff after water glasses remained empty for over 10 minutes.) Too many better options for steak in the city to merit a return there (unless you like shouting at your dinner mates!)
Amazing food and service! Noise level is quite high, especially with live music.
Hostesses were not polite or friendly, waited 15 mins for a table after being early for a reservation and was not acknowledged; had to ask hostesses twice about our table after being initially told it would be ready “in a few minutes”.
Table service was good.
Came from Philadelphia to take my mother here for Mother’s Day. The restaurant was smaller than I expected but the dim lights with a piano player and singers made this experience great. Service was friendly and fast. My food was phenomenal, I had the bone in ribeye with baked potato and creamed spinach. My mom had the 8oz Filet that wasn’t as good - tasted like roast beef. Other than that her sides were good too (asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes). I’ll definitely be back. This just might be my second best steakhouse.
Felt like my husband and I were discriminated against because we are a young black couple. Although the food is amazing , I will not be returning to Mastro’s.
I took my mom to Mastro's for Mother's day after we went to a Broadway show. Since we reserved a seat , we were immediately taken to a nice spot secluded from most of the fanfare of the second floor where they have a live band playing. As for the portions...they are massive!
I don't go to steakhouses anymore because I'm vegan, but I'm glad they had a potatoes and vegetable portion of their menu so I could at least get something to eat other than salad. I got the 1 pound baked potato, and steamed spinach, which was so massive that I couldn't eat it all in one sitting! My mom got the garlic mashed potatoes, truffle mushrooms, and a half pound of Alaskan King Crab, and loved it all! She also got the cheesecake for dessert, and it was delicious!
I will be going back most likely for my 40th birthday, which is later this year.
Very Nice in the Service area and if you are looking for a great steak ... look no further ! 4/5
Delicious, expensive food. Overall a high quality meal, we had crab stuffed mushrooms and seared ahi tuna as appetizers. The seared ahi tuna was amazing, highly recommend. I had the 12oz bone-in filet as my entree, it was a delicious steak. For sides we had brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and scalloped potatoes, they were all very good. We didn't end up having dessert.
Overall a super delicious meal, but with a price tag of about $800 for 4 people it was quite expensive. I might go back for an event or special occasion, but certainly not an everyday place.
The 32OZ Chefs cut Ribeye was the best steak I have ever had..
Angelica is amazing. I went to this restaurant a few months ago and she remembered us. Pleasant attitude and super fast service. Food is served perfectly and fast. Great live music makes it a fun environment and energy of staff is great.
Everything was perfect just perfect will be back to visit again thank you so much!
Great food great service little too dark. Need more
Great dinner. Attentive, informed, friendly, and non-obtrusive wait staff. Had a really nice experience. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Pricey but just about worth it. Crab mushrooms were amazing. Inside was a little cold. 9 out of 10 times this place is usually flawless. Big eye tuna was a lot spicier this time around. Still a top steakhouse IMO
We had the best experience at Mastro's for Mother's Day. All the food was delicious and the service was just seamless. The live music added such a special energy to our night. Fantastic musicians as always! Thank you Mastro's!
We were a party of 7 so we ordered most of the items on the menu, everything was great. The live entertainment we excellent! The noise level upstairs was loud so if you are looking to hold a quiet conversation I would recommend downstairs seating.
Been going there for years but found it extremely noisey. I was unable to hold a conversation with my date and we were not sitting that close to the band. The wedge salad was marginal while it use to be amazing. The porterhouse was nothing to write home about while I am use to amazing quality steaks. The drinks are great. Hands down they are not stingy at all with their pours. Sitting at the piano is always fun with great entertainment but they have to figure out how to not make it so painful while trying to hold a conversation at the table.
I'm a big fan of steakhouses. I try a new one every month or two in Manhattan. I have been to at least 20 in the last few years. Mastro's is a new favorite for me. The upstairs has a very cool atmosphere with live music. Great bar and service. We were provided with a table downstairs, which is not quite as cool, but quieter. I am not a fan of tables for 2 jacked up against each other and you don't have that here. The tables are wide and there is a bit of room between the tables, so you don't feel like you're having a conversation with your neighbors. The waiter was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable (Joe). The food was fantastic. The steak was perfectly flavored and cooked. The garlic mashed were creamy and perfect. The snow peas were also perfect. I'm a huge fan!
Wonderful dinner. The live music and food is amazing.
Amazing food Service and wverything
The food is amazing, the staff is great minus the hostess(needs some ppl skills). Great environment, just an absolute must.
I frequent Mastro's often and have had an amazing experience there each time. The service is amazing and the staff is a delight. Rachel and Gary are my 2 favorite!!!
Food was good but overpriced. When the brought the wrong sized steak (4 oz instead of 6 oz) they charged us for a second 4 oz because we did not want to wait any longer to eat. They wanted to take back all of the orders for the table and start fresh. They gave us a free dessert instead....but we don’t typically eat dessert. Not going back.
Food was delicious; service was excellent, our server was warm and attentive. The manager Greg came over to say hello. Overall, a memorable dinner.
Amazing food! Very attentive staff.
My server Julien was awesom (sorry if I spelled it wrong) if I ate meat he would’ve sold me on almost the whole menu. (A lil pricey) but I enjoyed my time and so did my boyfriend. Excellent dessert reccomendation!!
I have been here several times and the steak is phenomenal. The NY Strip is one of the best anywhere, with a great charred crust, extremely juicy and perfectly cooked to my requested temperature.
