I was happy with the experience and the food was excellent.
The place was beautiful and full of life. The waiter was absolutely terrible and the steaks were fair.
Food was outstanding, very nice wine list, ambiance was spectacular, service was very good. What more can you ask for?
This was our first visit to Mastro's. The atmosphere is new and relevant. Our server Tracy will definitely keep us coming back! She was knowledgeable and kind. Sometimes an initial experience can be a bit daunting but she made us comfortable and her suggestions were sublime. You have a gem in Tracy! We'll definitely be returning soon!
We sat right next to the piano, which was loud, but the 3 singers were phenomenal. Food was great.
Girls Night Out
It was absolutely great! Best steak I’ve eaten so far!
Food was great
Service left a good bit to be desired
Somewhat slow and somewhat rude tone in the way we were spoken to
Overall would go again, but would rather go to steak 48
Not unique...the atmosphere would work better in Vegas.
Service was perfect. Requested a certain rose for wife. One rose on table for her. It appeared to be an inconvenience with confirming reservation time. Alaskan king crab was over cooked. (Too chewy). Wife’s steak was perfect. Wine was great. Sides were perfect. Really to loud of a restaurant to have a romantic dinner with wife. Even scheduled early dinner 6:15pm. May try a different seat location (table in middle of restaurant was terrible location. Booth or out by water may have been better. I will be back with better request.
Birthday dinner with family and friends.
Having been to several other Mastros across the country we decided to visit the new location near home in Houston. The service was top notch and the food was excellent, what we expect from Mastros. The noise level was deafening, however. Could've just been the holiday groups, perhaps. We were also placed at a corner table in the back with every server and staff member walking by every 2 seconds with trays over our head and chairs getting bumped. If we had a better table and the bar noise wasn't so loud it would have been a phenomenal experience. Not to say we won't return it's just we know to ask for a better table in the future.
I always enjoy coming here for an evening out.. this time it was for my wife’s birthday. Our waiter, Christopher, was very attentive and we couldn’t of asked for better service. Definitely recommend this place to those who are looking for fine dining.
The service and ambiance were great. I ordered my steak medium rare but since the plate was so hot, it must have continued cooking my ribeye to medium almost medium well.
Our streak took over an hour to prepare
This place was lots of fun, the noise was moderate... so if you plan on having a nice and quiet dinner (romantic) this isn’t the place. If you want fun, out going a perfect place to celebrate this place is a must. Very chic, posh, and overall awesome...
Not overly impressed. The filet was very tender but zero flavor. The server provided bare minimum service. I expected much much more from this restaurant.
Best restaurant experience I've had in a while.
the best steakhouse hands down.
Everything was AWESOME! And the Ambience was to live for! I’ll certainly return!
Really nice steak. Great service.
Had a fantastic time celebrating our anniversary there! Definitely will be back!
Awesome place and every location we have been has had the same experience.
I’ve heard such great things about the Mastro’s in CA... excited and shocked they came to TX... to be fairly disappointed that the steak was too charred... creamed corn was lacking corn... lobster gnocchi was just ok... our server Tracy was sweet and kept us well informed about the menu. Ambiance is really fancy but I would def choose quality of food over lavish decor especially for the prices you pay. It’s always a plus when food and atmosphere are on point! I am a firm believer in giving second tries so we’ll see!
Second time at Mastros, First was with customers and second was anniversary with my wife. Did not disappoint. Great service, great food, awesome atmosphere.
Scallops had fishy smell
Grilled brocilli burnt rather than grilled
Sea bass tasted fried rather than grilled
Steaks were so overloaded with what i assume was butter that really could not taste the steaks
Butter cake dessert was as good as advertised
For the price I will not return. I can get better tasting steaks at a traveling carnival.
Our server was worth the 2 1/2 hour drive. Hats off to all the cooks who prepared our Thanksgiving dinner. Superb! Will be back soon......
Anniversary, was perfect!
Such a nice place deserves more attention to the kitchen. Salmon requested medium rare arrived very dry and eventually was comped by management. Rack of lamb, also requested medium rare was better but still overcooked. Cocktails are well crafted, but overpriced. Live music can get too loud for nearby tables and could use some variety. This venue could be very impressive, but it has yet to come close to the hype.
Our server was fabulous. I believe her name was Alexandria. Everything was perfect - timing on everything was great. We have dined at a few different Mastros and this was by far the best one!
Mastro's lives up to it's excellent reputation - without fail. Every aspect of our evening was exceptional. The seafood tower was a perfect start along with trendy cocktails, exquisite bottles of wine, superb service (Stacy). Can't wait to return for another meal.
We went to Mastro’s to celebrate buying a new house. I was expecting a bit more of an intimate setting than being seating in between 2 bars with football on the tv. The service was excellent but the food is way overpriced for what you get. Everything seemed to be salty. My daughter sent her scallops back because of that reason. They told us they took off the scallops on the bill but they charged us for a new plate of them and just took off the first order. Weird. It is very loud in the restaurant so I would not recommend for a romantic dinner. I was a bit disappointed with the whole experience. The only thing that was great was the company, service and the scallop potatoes. Oh and the buttercream cake. Yum.
Steak tough and undercooked. Bland. Great service and atmosphere.
Birthday celebration. Staff was great. Very attentive.
Everything was top notch across the board.
Bring your appetite!
Service was disappointing to say the least. Definitely not the value we paid for.
We had another fantastic dinner, this time to celebrate a birthday. We started out seated in an area which was too loud, with the live music nearby, to hear conversations at our table. Staff swiftly moved us to a quieter area. We enjoyed every dish, especially our steaks and desserts. I would rate 5 stars if it weren’t so expensive. My $115 Wagyu tomahawk steak wasn’t much more special than a comparable ribeye I’ve had elsewhere in town for half that. I ordered the Wagyu because of the special occasion, but would have been happy with something simpler. Overall great service, knowledgeable staff and lovely ambiance.
