Cocktails were refreshing, appetizers were delicious, wedge salad was crisp and fresh, MAPLE BACON STEAK WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, steak was brilliantly cooked and topped with truffle butter and the butter cake was out of this world!!!

Everything about dinner here was exceptional! The service was perfect. Wine, whiskey and burbon selection is quite expansive. Everyone in the party of 8 absolutely loved their food. I have been before and I will be back again.

What a splendid evening. Celebrated my son’s 18th birthday and the waitstaff and especially our Waiter, Frank made the entire evening feel special. I must say what a wonderful time. I will be back soon.

The service was great. My entree steak was made perfectly but the side dishes were very bland. I also noticed that many of the POC patrons were shoed off to a small side room, very strange as I walked the main dining room and there very 2 maybe 3 POCs in the dining area. I could have made better food at home. Ive been here a few times and I won’t be back.

My wife and I have been to Mastro’s multiple times with a 5 star experience. Last night wasn’t that busy, so I expected nothing less than typical. We started off at the bar to have a drink and salad, great service, etc. We were seated at our table in the back room next to the waiters computer. To start we had appetizers and drinks, followed by our entree then dessert. We went the entire meal without being offered a refill on our water and no other drinks. In summary, the food was amazing, but the service was awful. I hope it’s a fluke and they’ll recover on our next visit. I can’t recommend this place until I experience an improvement.

Let me start of by saying this my second time going to Mastro’s and was disappointed this go round. First let me start of by saying our table was deep in the corner secluded by the storage room door that employees and etc was walking in an out of every 5min grabbing chairs. Secondly we was also by a loud birthday table and another table that was loud also my bestfriend and I couldn’t hear each other while talking. The waiter was over doing it with the jokes an talked a little to much every time he came to the table he had a story to tell. After our bottle of Champagne we ordered Lemon Drops that tasted exactly like Lemon Juice. The waiter kept trying to convince us that Belvedere was in our drinks but after more minutes of drinking we figured it wasn’t so we ordered double shots of Belvedere. After our second round of double shots we noticed it was watered down completely and after that we was over the restaurant completely. We will not be coming back. I bragged about this place to my friend an they let me down.

We went to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. I requested a romantic table, and they accommodated with red rose petals drizzled on the table when we arrived. We got there a little early and were seated immediately. Overall experience was exceptional!! And how about a follow-up call the next day to inquire about the service? 5 stars!!

Friday I celebrated my birthday with a few girlfriends, and it was all of our first time visiting. I can’t express enough how much we enjoyed ourselves from start to finish! Our server, Rich was amazing. Anything we asked he had an immediate and satisfying answer. We loved it, and will def be back soon!!

Mastro's is my go-to steak house in Houston, but they offer so much more than steaks! We had the fillet (cooked perfectly) and herbed branzino, which was excellent. The Mastro's team will bend over backwards to make sure your dining experience is perfect in every way. Their wine list is one of the best in Houston. We had a great evening with Mastro's and will return again and again.

Went for my husbands birthday and while we enjoyed our appetizers and steaks, I had to send my petite filet back because they didn’t cook it right. I had asked for medium well and it was very rare and bloody. I sent it back to the kitchen but it didn’t get compensated on our bill. Very disappointing that I was still charged for a steak that was sent back. Our total bill was too much for just the two of us. We only had 2 appetizers, 2 drinks and our steaks. Dessert was complimentary. I would recommend going to Steak 48 instead.

Food and wait service was great! Excellent whiskey selection and extensive wine list. We picked this restaurant for a business dinner for a party of five. It was very loud in the restaurant and difficult to hold a conversation with the entire table.

Everything was great, besides the hostess experience. The good first: fresh raw oysters, shrimp cocktail, bacon and caviar to start, chopped wedge, steaks, lobster, snapper and mashed potatoes all excellent. Deserts were so worth the calories (flourless chocolate, key lime and butter cake). The broccolini was good. Not so great, hence a star missing: Made to wait when 2/3 of the tables were already set and empty and no one else waiting. The couple behind us were seated in a much nicer part of the restaurant right away. We stood there for 10 minutes watching them set a table in the noisy corner and wondered why we weren’t seated at one of the 30 other empty already set tables. For some reason We were designated for a very noisy (dishes and stocking wine corner) area of the main dining room, It was offensive. I thought maybe a huge crowd was about to come in. Nope. Those empty tables stayed empty the whole time we were there. Luckily the wait staff and food were fantastic. I relayed this in a follow up phone call received to check how our experience was. That was nice and hopefully it would not happen again. We will definitely revisit and hopefully have a better hostess experience to make it a perfect rock solid 5 stars. Thank you Maestros for doing such a great job with the cuisine, which is so needed in Houston right now.

We had a reservation and were put in a separate room pretty much away from the main restaurant. Asked to be moved, and said the “open tables” were already reserved. Although we also had a reservation. Food was good but ok for the value
