Excellent dining experience with wonderful service.
First Time!! Wanted to Go for a Long Time.... IT Was Worth The Wait. Great Steaks and Service!!
Setting is beautiful, staff is courteous, the wine list is great. We had the Wagyu beef, so delicious and tender.
The sides are family style and also are delicious. Recommend this to anyone who likes to dress up for a wonderful dinner experience
Everything was lovely! My first time dining here was amazing! Most definitely will come back soon! Thank you.
Candice is the best bartender I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! I don’t normally ask to be surprised but I let her pick. Everything she served paired with my meal. Couple locals haunting the place, Bruce is iconic! Live pianist set the mood. When they went on break, the only downfall was the music playing… I get it, know your crowd, but it did not match the ambience. Upscale dining with club/rap music…
Amazing!!! First time here. Mastro’s is my new favorite restaurant. Food quality is excellent and the service is top notch. The scallop appetizer is to die for!!
Mastro's is a great upscale experience in dining. I went with my daughter to celebrate her high school graduation. We really wanted dessert, and portion sizes are generous, so we only got through about half of a delicious dessert plate.
The steaks were all very bland and lacked taste. It was our guess that the sauces and butters to top the steaks are so heavily promoted to cover for this. Very disappointed in the main dish as that was the reason we selected Mastro's. The side dishes were fine, but nothing special and the prices keep rising. The food needs to improve dramatically before we go back.
This was our first dining experience at Mastro's. The food was good, but the service was sub-par, especially since this is a $$$$ restaurant. My bread plate was literally shoved out of the way with my entree plate to make room. This caused my bread knife to fall loudly to the table and of course the plates knocking together was pretty loud as well. No "excuse me" or apology of any sort came from the server. I was pretty disappointed, to say the least, as incidents like that should not be happening at restaurants of that caliber. Our primary waiter (the order taker) was also very difficult to understand and seemed in a rush to get through explanations, but would disappear for longer than acceptable periods of time during and in between courses. Also, this would be a minor issue for a coffee shop, but one of our entree plates had a large chip in it. Not something you'd expect from Mastro's.
This is a nice restaurant, but not as nice as it should be given the price. A bit disappointed...I did not think it was worth the cost charged.
We have been coming to Mastro's for years, reserved the chef's table and both rooms upstairs, but this experience was disappointing. The bread service is no longer free. With such high prices, an extra $2.50 is needed for diners? And the service was not as good as times past. It was difficult to get out server's attention. I wanted the chilled crab legs but got the hot crab legs. Just an off night.
Great food, I really liked the stake, the way it was served and perfectly cooked!
This was my first dining out in over a year. Service was great, ambiance was great, but the food was a let down. My steak was perfectly cooked but lack flavor. Sides were good but nothing special. My wife’s dish was a bit salty but perfectly cooked. Expected better for the price.
Our server was amazing. The table's just need a little bit more light for menu reading :)
Great food and service! Our party of 4 adults plus a well behaved (mostly) 2 year old we’re very comfortable on the patio. It was wonderful for our family to celebrate multiple special occasions with an excellent meal.
Great food but bus boys and people walking around with dirty jackets, not impressed.
Food was very good but we seemed to be beneath the waiter to care about. He did not seem to care we were there and did the bare minimum, which didn’t include giving us any bread with our meal. The manager came by and didn’t even notice. Luckily the food was excellent. They also charged us for something we didn’t get but since we got a free dessert I didn’t create an issue. Won’t be going back any time soon.
Had our anniversary dinner at Mastros. Out of all the high end steakhouses we’ve tried we like this one the best. My husband ordered the bacon appetizer which was incredible - seasoned with just the right mix of bourbon and maple. I had the ceaser salad. Then I had the filet - no bone - and they cooked it exactly how I like it.my husband had the Kansas City steak and he said it was excellent. We ordered cream spinach, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans as sides.their portions are so generous we had enough food for 4 people! My husband loves key lime pie so we ordered one dessert but they also gave us a slice of cheesecake and a Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate. Their bread basket has to be the best in the world. We will definitely be coming back. Music was a little loud and kind of pop type music but there were a lot of graduations going on so maybe it was for them.
My dinner choice was seafood therefore I didn't enjoy a steak. The experience was excellent.
Fantastic server Tom!
We used to love this place, everything was delicious but last night was horrible.. from service to food.. we won’t come back again for a while.
It was my first time dining at Mastro’s and I didn’t know you had to use valet parking, lol. So be prepared for that of it’s also your first time. I was seated quickly after checking in. Staff was awesome throughout my time there.
For the first time. My steak was unsatisfactory.
We usually go to a different steakhouse for our special occasion meals. This year my husband received a gift card to Maestro's so we went there instead. We really had a great evening. Initially we were seated next to a very large table with a party that included several loud children. We requested to be moved to another room so that we could have our own conversation and we were moved immediately. The wait staff was very attentive. The waiter was excellent - gave us ample time between courses. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. I think we have a new steakhouse!
Terrific! Great service and our meal was outstanding!
Had a great experience food was amazing and the service was very good.
Great service , good food , nice staff, very clean, nice entertainment.
Great food! Great service!
will be back again.
valet service very nice and quick.
Love Mastros and been going for years. But since being taken over by Landrys, the quality has definitely not been at the same top level. Service was great but food was meh.
Went to Mastro’s for our anniversary dinner. Food was good, service was “alright” compared to Capital Grille or Joe’s Stone Crab. Never brought bread, but asked us twice if we wanted it. Lol
The tuna tartar has changed, the crunchy bottom has some new unnecessary salty fishy flavoring. The Caesar salad has similar unnecessary fishy salty flavoring.
It was our first time at Mastro's and we enjoyed it fully. Everyone was very friendly and our waiter was very courteous. We went there to experience the best tasking steaks that we have heard about so much. Our waiter made suggestions and we went with them and were not disappointed.
Amazing quality and service! Me and my fiancé felt very taken care of during our visit.
What can I say, this place is without doubt the best steak house in Southern Ca. I Loved everything, from the appetizers to the delicious dessert. My 12oz filet mignon was tender and juicy, the Brussel sprouts and twice baked potato were equally wonderful. I had a glass of Marquis de la tour champagne and the chocolate sin cake for dessert. Best restaurant meal I’ve had in a long time. Total of my check was$122.00 plus $25.00 tip. Well worth it!! Can hardly wait to go back
Our waitress was Angie and she was so kind. The manager was also very welcoming and the food was incredible! I look forward to my next visit.
Food presentation was not up to par.
Overpriced. Service was ok but no personality.
Great experience! John was great!
