Our server Kim was excellent and made sure we were well taken care of.
The only complaint is the issue with the charges on the bill.
AWESOME Experience! I loved the food and the live music.
I love to drive into the city at least once or twice a year to come to Maestros to celebrate something special. The food, ambiance, service are all wonderful. We always have a great time. It's not inexpensive by any means; but well worth for that special occasion. We always have an awesome time and feel very "pampered" by your staff. The entire staff is always so welcoming and accamodating. We are happy to be living Illinois for beautiful Estes Park, Colorado however very are sad that we will not be able to enjoy visiting Maestros in Chicago any longer. It was a great farewell dinner! thank you
The only thing that disappointed me about this dinner was that it was for my birthday, and there was no acknowledgment of the event. I specifically indicated that the dinner was for a birthday. I even spoke to a representative of the restaurant that the dinner was for my birthday, yet there was no acknowledgment at all.
A tad disappointed in the service. When we told our server the soup was lukewarm, it was met with a lame “sorry.” For a $500 meal for three people, I would have expected a little more - a fresh bowl at a minimum. On the plus side, the server knew the menu well.
The wait staff is amazing and the food was delicious!!!
Horrible hostesses greeting customers. After that great
The food was excellent! The Dream berry was a fabulous drink!!! Will be going back soon!
Fantastic service levels given at Mastro's. We had a great dining experience and would dine here again.
Amazing great tasting food every time . Good ambiance and fantastic service
Justin took great care of us! Very attentive, loved the wine he suggested, friendly and fun!
MY FIRST TIME BEING THERE AND THE FOOD THE SERVICE EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. THANKS FOR SUCH AN AMAZING TIMR!
The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the salmon, Brussels sprouts and the fries! So good
Everything was wonderful! Great service, wonderful food.
The food sucked. I’m a usual there and won’t be going back after this experience. Service took too long, I was in Mastro’s for over 2 hours total when I was expecting a quick dinner before going to see a movie...

Mastro’s is amazing!
I enjoy Mastro's! The food is delicious and the service is always exceptional. I have now been to the one in D.C. and Chicago, and I would recommend the bone-in rib eye, grilled brussel sprouts, lobster mashed potatoes, and butter cake as the meal. Have a nice Cab with this meal and finish off with a nice scotch.
We are from Ohio and were told about Mastro’s from a friend. She told us of how amazing an experience she had and I’m glad to say ours matched! Our server was Parker and he took service above and beyond! He made us feel welcomed and helped us to enjoy our stay. His knowledge is well evolved of not only their menu, but wine selection as well. I had ordered the 8oz. Steak fillet (med well) and it melted in my mouth. Cooked to perfection! I highly recommend Mastro’s to anyone who is not afraid to splurge a little for a special occasion! It is well worth the money!
Great dinner, steak, sides and wine were delicious. Our server was considerate and respectful to our pace
The customer service was outstanding, our server I think her name was Jennifer was very attentive without being overbearing. She asked us and answer all of our questions. We were very impressed with our food my wife had the Chilean sea bass and I had the ribeye. Both entrees were cooked perfectly, the sidedishes were awesome. The lobster mash, spinach and asparagus was very good and last but not least the butter cake was simply FIE!!!!! Thanks for making me and my wife's anniversary a evening to remember.
Food and service were excellent. Had a very nice experience. Will definitely return.
Guys Night Out
Just another steakhouse, nothing special. It was disappointing the hostess never told us our third guest checked in first who we discovered had been waiting on us in the bar for 20 minutes.
Came into Chicago from out of town and planned Mastro's for my 30th birthday with a friend. Absolute wonderful customer service. When making the reservation, we asked for lounge seating. I very much enjoy the lounge area for the live music but it is quite loud so if you would prefer a quieter dinner experience, the lounge would not be for you. Their live music is WONDERFUL!
Service by Omar was outstanding; friendly and knowledgeable. Food good. Nice wine list but as usual, way over priced. Where Mastro's falls short is atmosphere. Bar scene is good but the dining room does not stack up with the other great steakhouses in Chicago. The dining room has no view, it's too dark and lacks that 'wow' factor that an upscale steakhouse should have. I would probably go somewhere else next time I'm in Chicago. There are better options.
My First Time Dining There And It Was Worth Every Penny! From The Valet To The Waiters I Will Be Returning!!
Simply one of the very best Ribeye Steak of all time! (this is saying something, I have had a few Ribeye steaks)
Started with a classic French Onion Soup that was outstanding. Creamed Spinich, I ordered the "Chefs Cut Ribeye" which is the larger and more marbled than the other Ribeyes on the menu.
Yes it was to large, yes it was more than I should have tried to eat all by myself.... Oh but it was delicious! The flavor was amazing, cooked just as I ordered "Medium Rare" what an amazing cut of beef! Compared to Morton's Steak House which was great two nights earlier...
This Ribeye and this restaurant experience were just over the top. This was a Saturday night and Mastro's was very busy. I had a 9:00 pm reservation for one and they couldn't seat me until 9:45! A party of one... I had to wait for 45min! It was wonderful, and yes it was worth the wait! The grave me a desert a Warm Butter Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream to make up for the long wait... Yes... on top of the LARGE French Onion Soup, Big plate of Creamed Spinich and the 36 oz Ribeye... I consumed a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and a Butter Cake. (Unable to move, completely consumed by the meal... I just went to sleep I a food coma stooper... Right in the booth at the restaurant... for two days!) Well not really. But that's what I should have done.
Food was very good. Had to wait much, much longer than reservation time. We made reservations well in advance and we’re seated in the very loud bar area with two teens that we were taking out for a special family dinner.
We have dined at Mastro's many times easily 100. Usually the service and food are consistent and great quality. This last visit our server was sarcastic, condescending, and incapable. He brought the wrong glass of wine and 15 mins to replace it. We attempted to pay the bill with two credit cards--a frequent occurrence with two couples dining together. He charged only one card and since his service was so bad and slow we gave up fighting that one--he said he could not see the card. The 5 people next to us came and left while we were battling for service. Upon complaining to a manager we were told it takes longer to serve wine than cocktails. We had wine by the glass which does not take longer than cocktails that require more than one ingredient. This has really turned me off going back to Mastro's for a while.
Cons - We had a reservation for 8:30pm. We did not get seated till 9:45pm.
After waiting an hour & fifteen minutes for our table we ordered a 48oz Porterhouse between 3 of us, but received a 24oz instead.
Pros - The waitress realized her mistake & we got the 48oz steak in addition & it was comped but after we had already waited an hour & fifteen minutes for our table it didn't really make up for it. We also received a round of comped drinks as we had to wait so long.
The food was very good.
Overall - I appreciate that they comped a steak & drinks but it still doesn't make up for the overall poor experience. This is an expensive restaurant & I expect it to be exemplary & it simply was not.
I would not recommend this restaurant.
Was a bit of a different Mastro’s experience. We’ve dined there many times.
Good food, steaks were above average and they cooked them perfectly (they lacked a little seasoning but at least we had salt on the table). Sides were excellent. The butter cake didn’t disappoint. I want point out that the beers were ice cold, we got one at the bar while waiting for our table and because they were cold we stuck with them all night. This is a very underrated detail. After dinner the bar was hoping with a live band. This place has a great vibe. I’d say if your looking for a place to drop in for a little entertainment and desert stop in.
Our experience coming back here was phenomenal. The service was magnificent, ambiance was top notch! Staff was great from the hostess, to the helpers to the table host. I even discovered a new favorite Manhattan with a different bourbon, through an honest mistake. My palette caught the different taste in bourbon, but I savored the different twist. Love the service and ambiance altogether; can't wait to come back. Lastly, thanks for the generous military discount. I appreciate the support and generosity; made sure the table host was compensated very well on the original bill. Thanks for making this night a memorable one!
Love the love music. Key lime pie is amazing
Best seafood tower in the city
Celebrated my boyfriends 32nd Birthday. Thank you team for helping us create great memories. We won’t wait a year to dine again. We will be back soon!
Fabulous it was an amazing Time. Great service. Great people. Definitely going back
It is one of my favorite steakhouses in Chicago. I go every time I’m in town.
Service was excellent and food was just as great!
