Service was excellent and food was just as great!
Amazing food and service. Loved the live music at the bar, great singer (girl with brown longg hair)!
Not anything exciting or different from any other steakhouses in Chicago. Place was quiet as a mouse.
Phenomenal food, incredible service !! A perfect spot for the best food around!!
Everything about the meal was outstanding, the service was timely and diligent from our waiter to the water attendant! Our drinks were excellent with an assist to our waiter who was very helpful navigating us through the menu. The ambiance was pleasant and the live music was classic rock at precisely the right decibel level! As for the food over the top!! I would be hard pressed to tell you which was better dinner or dessert...YUMMY! From the salad & Lobster Bisque(Ohh Myy) to the Steaks and the sides to the Key Lime and the pièce de résistance THE WARM BUTTER cake (hell, you could just come here for it!)!!!
An overall outstanding experience.....alas, if only I could afford it more often.
Anniversary celebration. Mastro’s does a great job. Our servers Lola and Kelly went the extra mile for us.
The food was wonderful, unfortunately I can’t say the same for the service. Our server seemed very short and we felt rushed to order as soon as we were seated. The food was spaced just fine but when we asked a question about an item she seemed very bothered and just flat out not the friendliest. We had an 8pm reservation so it was later in the evening when we were wrapping up our waitress stood just feet away from us and we felt very uncomfortable and again rushed..... we were seated near an entrance to the kitchen or servers entrance upstairs but regardless one would think after spending $400-$500 we could finish our $20 bourbons..... so the good was great however I would ask to be reseated if I ever had the same server.
My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day a couple of days after the 14th and could not have had a better experience at Mastro’s. Service was impeccable (but not snooty), cocktails and the wine list were top-notch, the food is some of the best from any steakhouse in Chicago—and we’re natives who enjoy a good Chicago steakhouse regularly—and of course the buttercake dessert is to die for.
We had a fantastic date night. Thanks to the staff and kitchen.
Service was top-notch and attentive. The bone-in rib-eye was good, but not great. My wife's filet was cooked perfectly and the garlic mashed were awesome. Definitely the most expensive meal we've ever had, but unfortunately not the best.
Bland but expensive no seasoning but very high end atmosphere
