Went for post Valentine's Day dinner. We had been many times before. Everything was still the same. Would recommend for dinner
Very good service, and the food was outstanding. My steak was cooked perfectly.
The lemon drop is a must have. Great service. Very nice.
First class experience as always
Service was precise and outstanding. Will dine again. Matter of fact it was my first time there and It was amazing food is delicious. Will be back
It was great it never disappoints me great food great environment and great service
They mismanaged the time. We had to wait 45 minutes after our scheduled reservation. However, our server was amazing and so was the food. The portion sizes were a little small for the appetizers and entrees, but huge dessert portions.
Very nice elegant, classy, clean, superb restaurant!
Always one of my favorites! Great all around experience
Belated Christmas celebration
Nice place with good ambiance, but my steak came out COLD, and I never saw my waiter after I placed my order. Someone else brought the food and I had to flag down some guy in a suit that was walking around checking on the staff to complain. They brought me a new steak that was hot but well undercooked. So all in all I didn’t get to eat with my wife. I never had a waiter, just a water guy, who did a good job, and didn’t eat what I wanted. But I got to pay full pop, so atleast I got to enjoy some of the experience.
Great dinner as always. Great service other than the hostess who needs to be a little more polite to customers. Too loud as always but food made up for it
Excellent service, people and food. The noise level was perfect. A very enjoyable evening and our server was the best.
Our frame of reference is the Las Vegas location. That’s important. In Chicago, we found the greet staff stuffy and expressionless. Ambiance was fine but think typical upscale steakhouse in Chicago and there you go. Food was good but not excellent. My steak was overcooked and my wife’s was properly cooked but it wasn’t hot when served. Sides, drinks, and dessert were a push. Our server and help staff were great.
The Las Vegas location has a much better ambiance and setting. Staff are friendlier. Food is better and always done properly. We’ve been to the Vegas location numerous times and haven’t been let down once.
Mastro’s was lovely as usual. We love to sit in the bar and listen to the live music. The band was great. Our waiter was kind and informative. The seared scallops, filet, and butter cake did not disappoint. Definitely our favorite steakhouse in the city. The quality is always the same, and that’s important.
Always a favorite spot in Chicago.
John and Amanda took great care of our party!!!!! I would totally go back and recommend to all💯
Food was awesome.
Amazing food, ambiance and entertainment. We always look forward going there
Only one thing to advise about. We had a 5:30 got there early said to hostess we will be in the bar come get us when your ready. She never came and I had to remind her at almost 6:00 she seemed as though she forgot.
It was a slow start so not a problem but if it was busy I suppose it may have been an issue
The warm butter cake is a do-not-miss every time. They were offering a limited time only chocolate warm butter cake. We ordered that and the original and ended up only eating the original warm butter cake after only one bite of the chocolate. The chocolate one just wasn’t nearly as good and frankly not worth it. OG warm butter cake is where it’s at.
All of the courses were fantastic as usual. Maestros never disappoints.
Mastros was amazing! As always. Great service as well.
Came here for Restaurant Week with a friend of mine at 8:15 on a Wednesday and the experience was pleasant from the check-in, not to mention a great value for the RW deal (8 oz filet was included on the 3 course deal which is $54 on the regular menu alone). Our server, Tim, was exceptional and provided a great wine recommendation and discussed the aging of the steak/seasoning etc. The restaurant also brought out a dessert that isn’t featured on the menu for free, which was a nice gesture.
This was my first time visiting and I was pleased. I was seated right at my reserve time. I ordered the salmon off the restaurant of the week menu and a side order of lobster mac and cheese. the food was seasoned to perfection, my waiter was extremely patience (he recommended the lobster mac and cheese). The Mastro's margaritas was the bomb diggy. It was so pleasant even the couple sitting next to us was appreciated for being nice. On a scale from 1 to 10 Mastro's get a 20.
Came for my birthday and the experience was amazing.
Very noisy in the Restuarant and was not offered the option to sit in the quiet dining upstairs. Food was good the waiter could have been nicer
The Chicago restaurant week menu is really valuable! we had the Steak and Pork Chop and we can't even finish it! I highly recommend the steak!!!
My wife & I shared each other’s company with great food!
This was a belated birthday dinner with friends and it was restaurant week. I reserved via OpenTable. The following day I get a call from the restaurant confirming my reservation and also to make me aware of the “dress code” that is strongly enforced. Upon my arrival and during dinner, there were multiple patrons who wore jeans and jogging/yoga attire and were allowed to dine. The restaurant week menu was a joke as it was like the everyday menu, a la carte. The server was not personable...
Since it was Chicago restaurant week me and my girlfriends decided to visit maestros for dinner. It was well worth the wait and the food was amazing. The mini butter cake was phenomenal and the steak was made to perfection...medium of course.
The porterhouse and ribye steak was delicious. I also enjoyed the twice baked potato.
I had a great experience at Mastro's. Jason took care of my party and he was fantastic! The meal satisfied all. I would highly recommend the jalapeno tuna sashimi and the butter cake. This was my second visit but not last!
We were trying something new for Chicago Restaurant Week. Mastro’s had a nice menu for the price even though we bought extra items plus drinks. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable until the end. The waiter was being very strange about the check as if he was anticipating that I wasn’t going to leave a tip. This definitely rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that, my only complaint was that the restaurant was very noisy! I had to yell to converse with my companion.
The service was great.
The drinks were expensive for what you get. Also, the sides are separately ordered so it was an added cost.
Overall it was a great night with great food and drink. As they always say its the little things. Our waitress was a true professional but seemed overwhelmed and we suffered for that reason. The process was correct but the execution had bumps. The food was outstanding . I had the bone in rib eye which was prepared to perfection. The wine selection was great on the choices of Italian wines which I prefer the Amarone. To top it all off there was live music in the bar which was the cherry on top.
Food was outstanding. Service was fine not the greatest. Felt like the waitress needed to check in with us more often. Over all experience 4.5 out of 5!
Great service and food was excellent
Absolutely delish. One of the best steak houses in Chicago. Great atmosphere, amazing food and impeccable service. Definitely will be back.
