Mastro's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills

The food and server were amazing. The ambiance was way to loud. I am used to a place being energetic but this was bordering on ridiculous. Also, a fight broke out. People were being rude to the servers. This was one of my favorite steak houses but now it seems like they let any scumbag into the place. It's sad to see such a wonderful place turn bad. It's not the restaurant that was bad, or the service but the people coming there to eat. The other thing I would like to see there is a better selection of american bourbons.
It was my best friend’s belated birthday. Our server was wonderful. We had a great time.
I have been to Mastro’s a handful of times and normally I would give it five stars on all aspects however this particular evening didn’t hit the mark. Our waiter was friendly enough however he acted as if we weren’t that important and didn’t spend a lot of time going over the menu and options with me and my guest and my guest was here for the first time. It kind of felt as if because we had originally suggested splitting a steak that he gave us less attention and was less friendly. He wasn’t very helpful in deciding on sides and portions considering there was only two of us and typically all of the entrées and sides and appetizers are quite large and would be excessive amounts of food. I ordered the French onion soup which is usually a very big favorite of mine however it was slightly more than lukewarm and was not very warm by the time I was halfway through it which was a bummer. My steak was cooked correctly and was warm however it had a lot more connective tissue than I’m typically used to and far more than I would expect from Mastro’s cuts. All in all I’ve been to Mastro’s before and it was amazing and I’ll probably come back however this time was just disappointing. This place is usually very active and it wasn’t terrible but there was a very large party next to us that was quite loud which was disruptive and made it very hard for us to be able to talk but this isn’t something that I’m not used to at Mastro’s.
Better than the competition. A little more expensive that other steakhouse chains but you taste the quality difference.
I love this location. Everything is always to par. Food is the best, service was great!
Thank you Mastros!!
Had family Thanksgiving dinner this year at Mastro’s Bev. Hills. We like the 2nd floor, always our first choice - great scene, lots of fun. Everything was fantastic as always.
We had a great time with our friends and family for thanksgiving
Very Disappointed in my Thanksgiving Day Experience
Amazing. The food was delicious: no surprise there. For a Thanksgiving dinner, I would do it again and again.
Fantastic as usual ‼️
Great food and atmosphere. When we arrived, the restaurant had just opened for dinner so it wasn’t crowded. The only downside of my experience here was that they sat another table of 4 right next to our table “a little to close for comfort”. I feel like a restaurant like this should take things like this into consideration. Next time, we will definitely be requesting a more private table.
Delicious food, DELICIOUS food. The service was amazing! The ambience was nice, the lights are a little too dark. You can’t read the menu very well and everybody has their cell phone lights on. Also, your tables are super close to one another, making it a little difficult to get up and down hard.
Fantastic service and meal! The setting was beautiful, the live music was amazing. Our table neighbors were even polite and fun to chat with. Our server DANNY, was absolute helpful and very kind, he deserves some type of recognition! Also, the busboys and the people “in between” were on it, they removed our cups and plates on a timely manner. The hostess (can’t remember her name) were beyond nice! Overall, a beautiful experience!
Danny, thank you! You were extremely helpful and polite. Thank you for the nice cake!
Best steakhouse in LA.
The food and the atmosphere is great, the service is superb as well. The recommend chef cut rib eye is juicy, and the chocolate pudding cake with whip cream is the perfect ending. Will definitely recommend to others when they visit Beverly Hill area
Always a great experience. The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I had the chicken this evening and it was unbelievably good. And of course the steak is always amazing.
Service was terrific. Cocktails and wine selections were great. However, my medium filet ranged from well done on one side to rare on the other. Unfortunately, this (steaks not cooked as ordered) has happened several times in my last few visits.
Good experience - we were a bit rushed with entree coming too soon.
I recently celebrated my birthday and the total experience was EXCEPTIONAL. When making reservations I requested very specific instructions, for example, an area in the venue calm and quiet for an intimate setting and for staff to kindly bring out butter cake for the group to share. Rob was our main server and he made the evening pleasant, relaxing, and thoroughly explained the menu and it's specialties. I couldn't imagine spending my birthday any where else- thank you so much!
Muy buen lugar para comer delicioso y pasarla bien. 100% recomendado
The best all-around steakhouse . Our family’s favorite restaurant for celebrating special occasions.
Awesome. Great food, solid wine.
Exceptional service, quality food.
We had friends coming from Israel and we wanted to take them somewhere special with great food I can tell you - we made the right choice!!! They LOVED it
You can feel the fanciness right away when the doors open
the atmosphere is amazing
The stuff is all over the place so service was super the food is soooooo delicious I ordered the fillet it was so tasty tender like butter.
The side orders We ordered Asparagus , sautéed mushrooms with truffle oil and potato were amazing and so does the desert !!!
We were even had the pleasure to see the amazing Macy Gray :)
If you want to impress someone or just to enjoy an A+ meal go there you will love it
Although a bit pricy, we were expecting that and looking forward to a great evening. Drinks at the bar were great, but it was so noisy that we escaped to our table for dinner. The shrimp cocktail was great, at $9/shrimp, and the escargot were fine. The wedge salad was below par. Then came the main courses. My wife's bone in filet was good. My bone in rib eye was almost inedible: chewy and tasteless. The baked potato was great. The asparagus was poor: overcooked, limp, and cold. We had the butter cake which was good, but not great. Overall, not a good experience and would not recommend Mastro's Steakhouse to anyone, but I have told many about my poor experience.
Everything was great except the lighting was a bit too dark. The service was wonderful.
We had a 9:15 reservation and didn’t get seated until nearly 10pm. Our server was not helpful at all in the ordering process. We had to ask him to take our drink orders because he didn’t do so. He took half our drink orders and left and didn’t take drink orders for the other half of the group for another 10 minutes. Any questions we asked were answered with a bit of attitude. Terrible service especially for the price.
It was not the best experience I have had. Our waiter was not sensitive to the fact we had foreigners at our table and went through his presentation so fast. I explained we out guests from another country and he did not acknowledge or consider the language barrier. Our guest asked for her steak to have NO blood and was quite specific. He delivered a steak that was medium to rare. After our steaks arrived it took approximately 4 minutes before our sides were delivered. Quite awkward at best. I'm not one to write reviews and understand we all have days. But this was error after error not just one isolated error. Then my husband had his beer removed from in front of him before it was finished. I've got to say I was disenchanted with the whole evening. I'm sorry to say but we would not visit this restaurant again.
A must go if you're in Beverly Hills! Mastro's really knows how to do it right no matter where the location! It's always just a little better than you expect no matter how many times you've dined there.
Had the ribeye on the bone asked for medium rare came more medium well, Ive been before many times but on this occasion it was not good
Can’t fault it but it ain’t cheap!
STEAKS SERVED OVER COOKED BUT WE DID NOT COMPLAIN IMMEDIATELY AS WE ARE ALWAYS CONCERNED ABOUT HOW NEW FOOD HAS BEEN HANDLED. WE DID TELL WAITER WHEN DINNER WAS COMPLETE AND WAITER TRIED TO HELP BUT THEN MANAGER ARRIVED AND SOMEWHAT BERATED US FOR NOT SPEAKING UP SOONER. THAT WAS NOT APPRECIATED AS HE WAS LOUD AND RUDE.
I did not enjoy it i notice they had all the African Americans guest in the back by the way all in the same area that was disturbing to me i asked to switch but was told would have to wait 30-45 mins with available table that we passed by
Mastro's everywhere is just our favorite. Our waitress, Courtney, was so wonderful and nothing was a problem for her. Lamb chops were cooked to perfection. The Mastro Room is the best. A wonderful evening.
A little disappointed they weren’t able to prepare the steak as requested. The server agreed it was prepared incorrectly the first time, had them bring out another which was as also prepared incorrectly. We opted to accept the steak as is and proceed with our dinner. Let’s hope management will be able to address it moving forward. When you are dining as Mastro’s, you shouldn’t have to settle.
Celebrating completing a project in LA
Great night. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the scalloped potatoes, which was no one's fault. They took it right off the bill, great meal though
This was a terrible experience!!! I came here to celebrate with my girlfriend on a Friday night. I made the reservation, came in and right from the start we had bad experience. First they wanted to sit us in a corner where the smell was terrible. Then they took us upstairs and tried to sit us at the bar and then finally we were taken to penthouse where we were sited in the corner because supposedly all the other tables were for more parties. We sat down and literately 15 minutes lates party of two set behind us at 4 people table drinking water the whole time when we ordered drinks, steaks and dessert. To top it all off, I got my second drink but I was done with my food so waitress automatically assumed that we are done so she pushed the check on us. She kept insisting on the tip portion of the check which really irritated me. This should have been a very pleasant experience and it turned out to be a very poor one. I will never come back here and will not recommend anyone coming here!!
