Steak was top notch. Service was phenomenal. French fries used to be super thin and now are larger and more like McDonalds. Not as good. Cream corn was not like it used to be. Kernels are larger and not as crispy. Butter cake and cream were fantastic.
Not quite the dining experience we were hoping for. Tables were crammed together, service was just ok and the food was bad. My steak was ordered medium rare, it was burned on the outside. We haven’t been here in a while and sadly I think it’s our last visit, not as good as it used to be and definitely not worth the money.
We ordered oysters…..shells in the shucking…..our steaks….one person ordered medium plus and it came out with tons of blood. Sent it back…came back and still rare. Everyone by that time was finished eating so he chose to not eat. The tables so close that when the service staff was tending to tables that one got his coat in our dessert. To top it off…we went to ladies room on first floor before we left and no toilet paper and only one light working. Step it up Mastros. This is ur name and not ur normal. Won’t be back….ever. At least our server was nice
Went to the Beverly Hills Mastro’s for Thanksgiving. Won’t ever go back. Had been here two years ago for Thanksgiving and had a great experience. We made our reservation 60 days out and were initially crammed into a table as you enter the dining room by the freezing open outside door. They moved us to another table crammed in the corner, but the room was still freezing. On top of this our server up charged us over $50 on water, bread and alcohol. Was a very disappointing experience as our food was cold from the freezing dining room, crammed tables, unexpected up charges and not close to worthy of the price we paid for dinner for five. Super disappointing, having eaten at this Mastro’s and several others across the US.

Food was delicious. The waitress was helpful when she finally got to my table. Waited 7-8 mins before she came by with the menu.

The service was subpar, bus boys were standing around near our table not noticing our glasses were empty, numerous times. The waitress obnoxiously and deliberately tried to upsell every item we wanted to order, including the bottle of wine!!! Made it very uncomfortable to order what we wanted. The double lobster tail came as a single (we had to tell her that fact, she didn’t notice). The filet mignon was ordered medium but pink inside; came in well done and dry. Then the second version came in more toward medium rare but we ate it anyways since we felt bad sending it back again, for the second time but it was chewy and not to our liking. Mastro’s specialty is meat, so we were shocked that they couldn’t get the meat right after two attempts. Overall, for what they charge and what the service was, it was not meeting our expectations and would not return nor recommend. And we eat out a lot, so we know what we are talking about.

Went on a Sunday at 6 pm and had reservations.
Super busy but we were seated right away.
Service was top notch and our waiter made great recommendations for dinner.
We had the bone in filet and salmon.
Three sides that we split, two Cesar salads along with a dozen oysters.
Everything was brought out on time and spot on presentation.
Food was excellent and our servers recommended wine selection was great.
Dinner was very tasty and well presented.
Would recommend Mastros to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience. Great date night and will be back.
Amanda was the absolute best server I have ever had. She was meticulous, professional, and beyond kind. It was my first time out in two years and my first night away from my baby and the night was perfect. Our group was celebrating two birthdays and Amanda just made the evening so enjoyable. She gave excellent food recommendations and brought us the most beautiful desserts ever. The petite filet Oscar-style, Caesar salad, and Argyle pinot noir were out of this world. I cannot wait to go back for another special night out. Thank you, Amanda!!! Mastro’s, you’re lucky to have her!
Mastros has changed. The food tasted delicious, but the portions are really small. Even the lobster Mac n Cheese. It used to come in a large bowl, but it came in a little skillet. We had a table for 9 and spent $1200 on dinner. They charged $10 for the bread and charged me for the birthday plate of butter cake that they usually don’t charge for. Then when I asked the waitress about it, she said well you didn’t request the small butter cake. As if I knew there was a large and small version! They brought me the wrong steak and everyone else was eating and I wasn’t. When they brought the 6ounce filet steak for our mother, it was the size of a quarter on a huge plate and it looked ridiculous…. And it was $60. We will never again order a fillet. It’s a rip off. Then one of my guests orders bottled water. They continued to pour it for the table, rather than asking me, the host what we should do. They charged me $63 for 7 bottles of water. I was so annoyed over the bill it made me wonder whether I wanted to go back. The music is great. Atmosphere is wonderful but the waitress didn’t even know we could do a blue cheese crust on our steaks. 🤦🏻♀️ we also ordered a seafood tower, which was really cool and it was fun, but for the $150 budget I gave them for that, there wasn’t much on it.
I’m not sure the value is there anymore. Or the customer service. The other stuff, like ambiance and music was great. Even at the end of dinner we were parched.. no water came and I had to keep asking. This was NOT the Mastros I used to know, and I’m not sure I’ll go back for awhile. 🤷🏻♀️
We went to celebrate my friend’s birthday and had a great time. I ordered filet 8 oz oscar style and it did not disappoint. The french onion soup was one of the best i’ve had! For sides, the mushroom and creamed corn were divine as well as the mac n cheese. For drinks, the tiki time cocktail was amazing! It surprisingly came with a shaker with another drink inside so it was like a 2 for 1. Definitely worth! You also can’t leave without trying the butter cake!!
The one thing that bothered me was how overbearing our server was. She was trying so hard to make us order extra of everything, especially when we told her it was our first time. She was nice overall, just a bit pushy. All in all, it was a nice experience and I would definitely come back to celebrate another occasion in the future.
So when we got there everything was fine but after a while it seemed to go from good to bad we had to wait almost 2 hours for a receipt on my birthday night so we couldn't pay then you're standing there waiting and waiting nobody is helping us and then finally they come and they just give us the number they don't even give us a receipt they just give us a number to pay I mean the service was really really really bad not what I expected
Took three hours to get out of this restaurant, and that was skipping our dessert. In that time the bar was only able to get us three drinks, though we asked for more. Our server was great and we could tell that the delays were not his fault, also the food was amazing. It seems that the restaurant is just managed very poorly. We had been looking forward to this experience very much, and we very very disappointed.

Service was amazing. Food was a different story. Mastros is known for its hot plates, so we always order steaks medium rare. The meat can continue cooking well after meal arrives. Tell me why the plate was Luke warm and steak was rare....not a very combination. Very bloody plate! Also, the halibut was way over cooked.

Our server was knowledgeable and great. He made up for the other shortcomings. Kitchen and others kept messing up the orders. The Malibu location food tasted better.
