I like mastros I went with fis
Restaurant is great, server was excellent reason for low rating due to inflexibility of us being a few minutes late and our table was given away, 4/6 party members arrived on time, I was about 5 minutes passed the grace period
When we first walked in, we thought it was beautiful with the Christmas tree and lights on the banister. But as soon as we went upstairs, things ironically went downhill. The first thing we noticed was how loud it was with the live music. Normally, I love live music but that coupled with how loud everyone else was at the restaurant was just too much. And there was some really unappealing smell in the restaurant. I though it was possibly truffles because truffles tend to have a strong smell, but we walk all the way to the back and were still smelling it. Thankfully they turned up the AC after about 15 minutes so the smell went away. They had these clunky lamps on the tables that really had no reason for being there. For one, it provided virtually no light and secondly, it was just too big.
Now the food- The food was lackluster. The steak was way too fatty and under seasoned. If you're going with just salt and pepper (preferred) please use coarse salt to add some texture and better flavor. The brussel sprouts were not charred, they were burnt. And the worst was our tuna tar tar which was 2 inches of guac and about a centimeter of unflavored, boring tuna. How do you mess up tuna tar tar????
.everything was perfect, the food and music were great.
Great service and great food! We loved the mashed potatoes and the butter cake was fabulous!
GREAT WAITER. A GOOD BIRTHDAY DESERT. A VERY GOOD CUT OF BEEF.
Great ambiance but food could be better for the price.
They didn’t do anything special for the birthday
The overall experience was excellent, except for the wait time upon arrival 15-20min wait with reservations. Food was amazing, the ambiance was alive, a bit too loud if you want a quiet romantic venue- but the excellent service makes up for it.
I took my husband here for his 40th. It was very loud and very dark. Hard to hear each other and couldn’t see our menus. Tables were on top of each other... but otherwise the food was yummy and the filet was fabulous.
The fact you can’t even see the menu because it’s so dark it’s an absolute joke... even the waiters carry torches ... there is atmosphere and then there is just ridiculous... amazing food... amazing service but spoilt by really silly lighting ... every single table had guests using their torches on their phones .... shouldn’t that tell Mastro’s something ... won’t come back because of that and it’s a real shame as food, service and everything was great
Mastro's is consistently excellent.
We were on a tight schedule because we were going to the theater. The hostess made sure we were seated immediately and our waiter set a good pace for the meal. Everything was perfect. Thanks to everyone qho worked Friday night.
We come here often a got a table for two. We sat at a circular table near the bar at the penthouse around 8PM Monday night and had the worst service we have ever had this restaurant. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and our server (brunette woman with straight hair and dark rimmed glasses) took forever to bring out everything and didn’t appear apologetic at all. Moreover, we ordered a $110 bottle of champagne that we had to pour for ourselves each time because our server was nowhere to be found. Absolutely horrible service.
Mastro’s Steakhouse never disappoints me. Everything was on point. Steaks cooked to perfection. The wine list is great. Service is always top tier.
Always great service and food. This location maintains the Mastro’s réputation and quality.
Everything was amazing!
The ambiance was wonderful and they gave me a complimentary cake and ice cream since I was celebrating my bachelorette weekend! The cost was commensurate with the portions and quality of the food.
It was a great night out. But Mastro’s Ocean Club is still by far number 1. Service was great (Adam) and the food was delicious as always. I still feel somethings are over priced. I personally am not very wowed by the location of this particular Mastro’s. I guess I expected more glitz and glamour, it being Beverly Hills and all. But with all that being said I would come back. It has a different vibe and clientele at the location.
I did not line it,
Waiter was not good for food inter dosing
We ask how big is shrimp not the big he said
We did order 3 shrimp witch was so big we
Could not eat our stack, Coast me $32 each
Shrimp, of course money not problem, it was our anniversary I was inbares 😡
Me and my husband went to Mastros whilst on vacation. We were on the first floor as that’s the least noise. The area had nice lighting and very romantic setting. Was quite loud at times though. The wine list was very good and a lot to choose from, I thought they knew a thing or two about wine but when mine arrived it was stone cold! This would NEVER happen in Europe and it’s very bad to serve cold red wine esp at a steakhouse. I asked the waiter to give me another which was room temp but it came back out the same. I was surprised by this considering is meant to be a high end restaurant. Steaks were quality meat but they keep the plate so hot it continues to cook more so medium rare you end up getting some of it a bit too cooked. Overall the experience could of been better but the food was good but certainly not worth the money.
Always a great experience. This is THE place for steak. It's a classic steak house that goes above and beyond all expectations.
The service was great. Steaks were good. My medium pork chop came out well done. I didn’t eat it much. The lobster bisque was too creamy. The onion soup was good. The brussel sprouts were too big & soft. The beans were cooked too soft. Cream of corn was good. The cherry crisp & especially butter cake were good.
The food was so good 🙌🏻 I will definitely be back. Enjoyed every second here!
Poor service at the end. My wife’s birthday got us a complentary cake which took 40 min for a slice. Won’t be coming back.
We had the BEST time ever celebrating friendships, birthdays and golf tournament wins. Keith, our waiter couldn’t have been BETTER. He was fantastic! Fabulous service and the food just never disappoints. Mastro’s Beverly Hills is where I will bring my girlfriends every time we have something to cheer about. Zee, the host, made sure we were happy with our table and made us feel so welcome. Can’t wait for our next time!!!
Always amazing! Best steak hands down ! And the truffle butter is to die for !! And don’t forget about the butter cake !
It was my 11th anniversary and I wanted to try Mastros as I have done several client events there over the last 5 years or so. I appreciated that the staff knew it was my anniversary when I arrived. However, I was taken to a table where my husband and I could barely get by other guests to sit down and we quite fit. I was looking at a pole and my husband was crammed back into the pole. We asked to be moved and they graciously accommodated us. The table we were moved to was much better and we were so happy we spoke up.
We both ordered the bone-in ribeye as that is always a safe bet. Unfortunately that was not the case this time. It was very tough with lots of grizzle. I've had better stead from Vons! We were very disappointed. The potatoes and the creamed spinach were good, however.
The bill was $397 out the door. Definitely not cheap. Wolfgang Puck's "Cut" on Wilshire is 100 times better. I will not be coming back.
Food amazing as always, but the initial waiter kept trying to upsell and market caviar. After selling the heck out of the caviar to my date, he not-so-discreetly asked me if I wanted to know the market price. I said "yes," and he told me $500. I politely declined. Even after that, he kept trying to upsell. I was also surprised when the check came and realized that I was charged extra for the "special' dessert. I hate the upsell and hate when a bill gets padded. REally not cool at all. But the food was excellent.
loved eating here for holidays or special events just a cool environment and my daughter loves the food 🤗
I’ve been to Mastro‘s many times, I always love it, it’s a beautifully run restaurant from top to bottom. But this time, the young man who was bringing our drinks, it may have been his first night. I’d ordered a Martini and when he poured it out of the shaker he did not tilt the backend up, as anyone who has ever poured a Martini out of a shaker knows to do, and as a result half of it flowed down the shaker and onto the table. They did bring me another one, but when I tasted it I had to point out to him that I’d ordered a dirty Martini, and they had forgotten the olive juice in both drinks. He did bring me some olive juice in a glass, but both of these mistakes are unusual at Mastro’s, especially on the same order. It was Thanksgiving night, so maybe they were down to the second team because of the holiday.
It was crowded, loud and so dark you could barely see your food. Steak was cooked wrong. A few of our sides didn’t even come until it was too late. It was very disappointing.
It’s a complicated question . How was Mastro’s? . Food always amazing . Bar & bar staff. Superb . In fact they generally save the night . As they did once again on Thanksgiving .That’s because the rude inconsiderate greeters are a recurring problem there No matter what your seeing request, they are intent on sending u to the worst seat in the house. If u ask for piano floor, they will ignore your request consistently and bring u to the first floor. And vise versa It’s extraordinary their consistent lack of concern & consideration for the comfort of even for their most loyal return customers. So my recommendation is eat at the bar or a high top and be treated like an honored guest. Thank u Cheryl for making our holiday dinner a great one. And hi to Nick at the bar.
As usual excellent service, excellent food only the volume was a little over the top...
Definitely avoid Thanksgiving here or maybe this location is just not as good as the others. My ribeye was full of tendon and not edible French fries were cold. We are from AZ and go to Mastro’s all the time so we were surprised by this experience. Our waiter was nice but the kitchen was either overloaded on a holiday or much worse than other Mastro’s we have visited.
Fabulous restaurant with great food and superb service.
Great food and great service as always.
Thanksgiving with children.
Was just there for our anniversary on the 20th. The staff was amazing, the food was awesome, and the scene with live music was superb.
