   My Mother’s Day dinner experience was quite disappointing. The hostess was wonderful, as well as the bus boys. Our server, however, was not attentive, left us sitting for long periods of time between courses, and did not follow up. Even a small “ask” like refreshing my husband’s glass of water went ignored. My husband’s steak was not cooked as ordered, and he did not want to complain because we had already been experiencing such a wait. Very disappointing, as I have dined here many times before. They can do better.

   Service was solid, though the waiter kept getting distracted with minor things (like folding napkins) and forgetting about parts of our order. Food was subpar and not worth it. Steak and tuna clearly were frozen and defrosted. Tuna tasted fishy. Steak had a mealy texture and tasted well don’t even though it was cooked medium. Will not dine here ever again. So many other excellent choices.

   We always have a great time when we dine at Mastro’s. We were celebrating our daughter’s three-year birthday and were surprised when her name was on the menu. She was so excited when they brought her out a butter cake.

    Mastro’s was fantastic! My boyfriend and I went to get a pre-dinner drink (and okay we had to indulge in dessert, too). We sat at the bar. The service was wonderful and all the staff were friendly. We each had a glass of champagne and split the (amazing) butter cake. Seriously, it’s been a very long time since I’ve had a dessert that delicious. This was a sweet and wonderful experience, and I would recommend Mastro’s to anyone looking to indulge a little while in Sin City!
