   My reservation was for 5pm when they opened which was made over a month ago. I received multiple confirmations leading up to my May 10th reservation. If you are thinking of giving the DTLA Mastros a visit, DONT! If you’re expecting a Malibu or Beverly Hills Mastro experience, DONT GO! YOU WONT GET IT!You would be better off going to Ruth’s Chris in Pasadena which is kinda near DTLA. I made a reservation over a month ago to celebrate a significant milestone in my life and was taken to the bar. I advised the host that I made a reservation for standard/lounge and she said they were full. Then the manager comes over and acknowledges that I did have a reservation in the lounge and stated they were busy and couldn’t make any changes, but says “we will take care of you”. His taking care of me was offering me a paper cup for to-go water and making sure my water stayed full. No, let me get you an appetizer or drink or whatever. Nope! Instead, gives me his business card and says give me a call the next time you come. Food: If you’re expecting a hot plate, it will be warm. I was just done by the time my food came out. I just wanted to take my medium-rare steak home and go. That’s literally what I did after ordering over $184 meal (soup, rib-eye, and two sides) to sit at the bar. I’m not complaining about the price because that’s pretty standard at Mastros. This experience definitely wasn’t the Mastro experience I’ve been accustomed to.

   Our waiter Richard was wonderful! Food was outstanding as always, atmosphere was a little loud from the bar noise. Otherwise a great experience.

   Music was way too loud for a restaurant of the caliber. Server was nice but didn’t get the drink order correct. For a $270 person dinner without wine, I would not go back.

   Service was disappointing Ordered cocktails and received 35 minutes later after our main dishes arrived. Waiter very nice personally but rarely came by to check on us. Once every 20 mins at best. Located in booth near restroom was not pleasant. Second time at same table. All food was delivered 30-40 mins after placing specific order. We’re Laker season ticket regulars.

   First time checking out this new location downtown. The service was superior and the ambiance was exceptional. I had my usual Berry Dream, crab cakes, and filet mignon. This was a highlight of my Good Friday 2025!

    Everyone was very friendly and 10/10 service it was my best friends birthday and they definitely made her feel special on her day very attentive !food was also great
