   Great dinner. Our server made excellent suggestions. Highlights included the A5 Wagyu (loved the jalapeño ponzu sauce for dipping), bacon steak topping for the filet, giant crab legs cut open for super easy eating and the wild mushroom and truffle gnocchi - sooo good! We were given a complimentary piece of cheesecake (celebrating our anniversary) with a bowl of fresh whipped cream to top with and it was delicious - great crust. For those who are particular about steak temp - filet was ordered medium rare but was more like medium/medium well, something a couple other reviews mentioned as well. Will definitely go back!

   The restaurant has really gone downhill since it changed ownership. It is such a great venue and it could be great if the food was good.

   City Hall was our go to place for many years. We had recently moved back to the area. It has unfortunately gone down hill. The steak was great, but the sides were sub par. We tried some of the new sides. Not tasty at all. Shrimp were not pealed all the way. Cocktail sauce was not the same wonderful sauce. We used to say this was the best place around. Definitely not worth the cost now. All the changes did not improve the experience. It did the opposite. Will likely not be going back.

   We originally had a reservation for 7 people. (as a courtesy, I called about 2 hours ahead, and reduced it to 4). When we arrived we were told the dining room was full and clearing slowly; so we were offered the bar area or outside). Not perfect, but the staff was very professional about it. The rest of our evening was wonderful. Nicole our server was fantastic, friendly and always had a big smile. Food was delicious as always. The seasonal Butter-cake should be a year round option.

    Don’t go here for the food or ambiance. This is a “scene” if you like an Old Town Scottsdale kinda vibe. Not that I don’t enjoy that - but not when I’m expecting a quality meal and experience at a very $$$$$$ price. I much prefer Ocean 44 for the similar price point.
