   Have been to other Mastros which were much better. Food was so salty that was all you could taste. Very disappointing.

   During my recent visit to Scottsdale, I made a point of dining at Mastro's City Hall, and I'm glad I did. The overall experience was exceptional — encompassing fantastic food and attentive service. To start, I ordered the tomato and burrata salad, which was fresh and flavourful. For my main course, I had a 6-ounce filet, accompanied by a delightful trio of sauces. I also enjoyed sides of brussel sprouts and scalloped potatoes, both of which complemented the steak beautifully. To finish off the meal, I indulged in their renowned butter cake, which was a perfect sweet ending. For drinks, I opted for a vodka sour to start, followed by a glass of Caymus, 50th Anniversary edition, with my steak. To pair with the butter cake, I chose amaretto on the rocks. Each drink truly enhanced my overall dining experience. Overall, I left Mastro's City Hall impressed and satisfied, and I plan to return the next time I'm in Scottsdale. Thank you to all the servers that visited my table that evening, to ensure that I had the best overall experience. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.

   I think mastro’s is overpriced for the food quality. They use cheap cooking oils and ingredients in just about everything except some of the graded steaks.

   I have been to this Mastero’s two dozen times over the last 20-years. This is a GO TO spot for high-end clients and special occasions. This visit was the first time that I felt like it wasn’t worth the price I paid. My youngest child, my son, is about to graduate high school, and as I did with his sisters, he took him here for an amazing meal to celebrate. On a 1-10 scale, 10 being THE BEST, food was a 8.5, service was an 8, ambiance was an 8. I was slightly disappointed because I am paying for 10’s. I suspect that Wednesday night, was just an off night. I will be back, because every other time it was 9’s and 10’s. Couple of notes - cocktail was good, Old Fashioned wasn’t the best I’ve had, but was good. Shrimp Cocktail was good - the shrimps were premium jumbos, but the cocktail sauce was okay. Lobster Mac and Lobster Mash were both excellent. The steak was, good - the meat was tender, just slightly undercooked (ordered Med-rare and got closer to rare, the edges had a nice char and very good simple flavor profile, but once you got past the outer edges, the flavor profile shifted and butter flavor moved to the front. The service was very good. It felt like the waiter was trying a little too hard. Kept referring to my son and I has “Fine Gentlemen” and it felt forced or insincere. I have always had top notch waiters here. The rest of the staff was very attentive, professional, friendly - what I have come to expect.

   As always we had a great time. I know it may not make sense giving five stars for value however I believe they do put out an amazing product which is worth it . I am from Aspen co so everything. Is more there

    I would skip Easter Brunch if you're looking for a lively lunch/ family experience as advertised. We had to go up to the seafood tower twice just to get a basic plate, for a simple starter. In terms of a main course, we then had to go back and ask for them to cut from the new strip loin versus the ends that they wanted to pan off to us. Felt like it was, what can we get away with, versus what can we give to you for what you are paying for. I'm not tight, but if youre paying over $500 for 2 people for brunch (given theres a $135 wine in there) I'd still appreciate a little more in terms of service, quality & options - back to the Fairmont next year! ;-)
