This is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. Love that most patrons dress up. I was disappointed when a man came in wearing a ball cap ( not in the best condition) and not asked to remove it. His clothing was pretty shabby as well. He was seated in the bar however everyone else there was dressed in suits/dresses. I wish a dress code was enforced. I have been in the main dining room with people in football jerseys also.
Mastro's has amazing food and impeccable service. I try to get there every time I am in Scottsdale.
I've been coming to various Mastros, including this one for over 7 years. I ordered a steak here and it came back burned with cold fries. By the time the waiter checked on us, the meal was over and we left. The quality has steadily declined in the last year or so. Would not go back.
Great food, good sized portions. And excellent service. Our waiter was a true professional
Our waiter, who was much older stereotyped our group to be poor because we were young. All of his table around us were treated with the best service and we were rushed ignored and then mocked by the waiter and manager. I have dinner meeting here often, and this was the worst service ever. The service actually ruined the dinner. The GM who was rude sent us desserts that we didn't want and then barked about comping what he had offered. The whole meal should have been comped. Terrible evening!!!!!!!!!!!!
AMAZING SERVICE, AMAZING FOOD, GREAT TIME...….THE SEAFOOD TOWER IS FABULOUS, AND THE STEAKS YOU CAN CUT WITH A BUTTER KNIFE. THE LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE IS A MUST TRY
Amazing service and food! Well done!
As always, great food delivered by Mastro's. It tasted great, even if I couldn't see it. The restaurant is so dark that the food has no color. My steak was topped with the optional bacon and all I could see was dark gray and light gray - bacon normally has some reds, doesn't it? Cutting into the steak yields the same results - you cannot see the temperature of the steak.
The noise level is exceptionally high. You can forget having a conversation anyone more than two seats away.
Considering all of the options for great steaks in Phoenix, I'll likely head elsewhere next time so that I can enjoy all aspects of my dinner.
I love Mastro’s! This location was fantastic (the others are too). Great service, amazing food, perfect for a special occasion. Pricey but worth it. Do not leave without having their butter cake!!!!
Birthday Service is impeccable. Would recommend widely.
Excellent food and service however restaurant was so loud it was hard to carry on conversation.
Mastro’s is known as one of the premier steakhouses in the area. For those in our party that had steak the food met that expectation. What was lacking was the overall experience of fine dining. The room was crowded and very loud. Our waiter rushed, from the descriptions of the dining options to the presentation of the food. Also, the promised bread arrived late and after the bread plates had been cleared. This despite having to ask twice. After the dinners were delivered our waiter never came by to ask about our dinners. This would have rectified an unsatisfactory salmon dinner that was barely warm in parts despite requesting it to be cooked through When looking for a fine dining experience, there are better options, but for excellent steak, this is a good choice, just not the best service.
Took my son there for winning the spelling bee at school. It was a great time for the family.
Had been coming for many years and it had been awhile. The steak was delicious the lobster mash potatoes are a must and of course the BUTTER CAKE! THE BUTTER CAKE!
Great place to go. Had a wonderful waitress named Lauren!!! Loved her personality and attention to detail. Thanks for a great experience. :)
Just the best steak I've ever had. Super fancy. Bring some cash for tipping the complimentary valet parking and server in the restroom.
City Hall is def my favorite steakhouse in this area! Wonderful experience!
Mastro's City Hall has always been a favorite, and the food is spectacular!
The food was outstanding, and the service was just fabulous. The Seafood Tower was super, and the states were the best we've had in a long time. It was a relaxing place to eat. The servers did not push the next course on us at all. It was at a very good taste. Highly recommended. Eat. The servers did not push the next course on us at all. Each course was brought to us at a very good pace. Highly recommended. And don't forget to save room for the desserts, because they were just amazing.
We love Mastros! It continues to have amazing food with great service!
Good food, good service. It was so busy on a Wednesday night, it felt like a weekend!
Service was born on one of the best we’ve had. Never been here before the steak rates in the top three that I’ve ever had all over the United States. Highly Recommend Mastro’s and the Casey bone in steak.
Too loud!!! Too dark!!!
Better at N Scottsdale on both those issues.
They said I was seated in the quiet section??!!!
This was only our second time at this location, but as before, the food and service were outstanding. Exceptionally nice setting and the atmosphere was great for a nice conversation. We feel they went out of their way to make sure our meal and service was to our satisfaction and expectations. We even received a follow-up call the next day to make sure we were pleased with our experience. We'll be back.
Great food. However i felt extremely rushed at the end of the meal. I was thinking about taking one last bite but there was already a hand on my plate ready to take it away. It felt awkward and I realize the restaurant might be trying to rush everyone out prior to closing time, but with the tab we had spent on, that was a poor feeling and experience to leave the door with.
Getting charged twice for bread at $9 a pop is ridiculous. We sat at the bar and the friendly bartender asked if we’d like bread with our shrimp cocktail. We said sure and soon found out it was $9 on our bill. Then we moved to dining room and more bread was delivered, Unrequested and again we were charged $9 for bread we hardly touched At the end of our meal. Such a cash grab from such a high scale restaurant is deplorable. Not cool at all.
Celebrated at Maestro's Steakhouse Sunday night and they didn't disappoint! Always exceptional servers and top quality food. Do wish they would bring up the lights a bit.....everyone's phone flashlight was on for reading the menu. :)
The food is fantastic, best steaks in the State. The people are very professional and the place is top-notch and elegant.
Billy was absolutely amazing! This along with the amazing food made for a wonderful evening!
Food great Service very good Very tight quarters Sit on top of each other tables WAY too close Very $$ Very high end old style traditional steakhouse
Excellent food, beverage and service!
We went here for an anniversary. The food was very delicious, probably one of the best steaks I have eaten. The portions are huge (sides are meant for sharing) and the steak cuts are large (husband ordered a 24 oz porterhouse that he did not finish). Prices are kind of high, but the food and impeccable service made up for it. The wait staff waits on you hand and foot.
Always great food and service. Still one of the best steak houses in the country.
Too noisy for conversation, but food was excellent.
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was everything we could ask for and more! Our waitress was so friendly and helpful! The atmosphere was perfect and the food was amazing! Couldn’t be happier with our experience.
Consistently good. Haven’t really had a bad experience here.
Always top notch service as well as the selections.
Service impeccable. Steak amazing. Side dishes mediocre. Dessert scrumptious.
Great food, great atmosphere!
Went for Thanksgiving dinner and did not miss the turkey at all!!
Service was outstanding even on this very busy day.
I was staying at the w scottsdale which is why we came here, for convenience. I will not be spending my money here anymore. The hostess was accommodating. The server was ok. He messed up my friends order and was insisting that I had ordered a 3rd side when I had not. I asked for the scallops to be plated on top of the sauce and he said he would put them on the side which I said no. I asked for the entree scallops and he asked how many (anytime I've ordered the entree it comes with 5, unless you order the appetizer and then depending on how many people are sharing they ask if you want to add additional) I repeated the entree size and he said that could be unlimited and that I needed to tell him how many. He was not very nice or helpful. There was very little sauce on the scallops and they were black on top. My sea bass and sides were great. When the check came I asked him to apply my credit, he came back and said I didn't have one. I told him to send the manager over. He came over and repeated to tell me that I didn't have one. I told him to give me a minute and he came back basically wanting payment. I told him he needs to check again and that this was the 3rd time I've been here this year. He went back and said that he looked in the last 3 months and I have nothing. I told him to look up March 10th. He did and said that I used that credit on my last visit. Which I responded that, that was incorrect my last time was comped. He said that they used it on my comp to which I replied that they didn't have my permission to do that. He came back and honored the credit but I was so furious by then that i didn't want to speak to him anymore and had him leave. I didn't even want a apology that wasn't genuine. I still tipped over 22% on a 250 bill. I've been in the service industry so I still tip nice even if they don't deserve it. I will stick to going to the Pinnacle and Quarter locations with my bf and will stay away from city hall. Shame on them
