Mastrioni's Café provides a unique dining experience away from the Vegas Strip. Located in the Desert Inn, the restaurant is the creation of Chef Pete Mastrioni. Mastrioni comes from a long line of restaurant owners and is a descendant of Naples, Italy. Keeping with his roots, he serves a variety of Italian cuisine from traditional to contemporary. Mastrioni's Café also specializes in fresh seafood dishes such as steamed clams, lobster tails, mussels and wild Alaskan salmon.Adding to the ambiance and providing a distinct aesthetic, the walls of the café are decorated with contemporary artwork from local artist Robert Marlon. Mastrioni's Café also offers catering services.

We had dinner here last night. The ceasar's salad was good, the shrimp and scallop pasta was good (I had them use angel hair instead of penne and it was a good choice), and the tiramisu was average. I would have the salad and the shrimp and scallop pasta again, but not the tiramisu. The service was prompt to the point of feeling rushed. I'd like to come back and have leisurely meal as opposed to being rushed through the meal.1 person found this helpful
