Italian
From acclaimed chef, author and restaurateur Scott Conant comes a quintessential Italian eatery for local gourmands and travelers alike, Masso Osteria. Located at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa and inspired by the rocky desert landscape that surrounds Summerlin – “Masso” is Italian for “boulder” – the restaurant captures the convivial spirit of a classic osteria, offering refined, craveable Italian fare in a lively setting. A fitting destination for both special occasions and casual weeknights with friends, Masso is a return to form for chef Conant, whose menu of house made pastas, antipasti and savory wood-fired sides reflects his guiding philosophy: to create unforgettable dining experiences rooted in soulful cooking and generous hospitality.

The drive from the strip is more than worth it. We’ve started planning our trips to Vegas around going to dinner here. My husband and I order multiple things to share and try something different each time. EVERY SINGLE THING on the menu is to die for. There hasn’t been anything we’ve tried that’s “just okay.” Service is phenomenal

This place is a true gem. We went to the 1 year ann. party and met Scott, what a great person! The staff and food are top notch and the atmosphere is really nice, great for a special occasion or date night!

It was difficult (aka it sucked) not coming in at the opening 5:00 to get a table. Also a little confusing as to the inclusions. If you knew the bartenders you got what you wanted complimentary. If you didn’t you got a slap on the wrist (per se) and a bill with no change ($10.50 beer purchased- $20 given - no change returned). Food at the pizza stations for the 1st 2 hours was really sketchy (non existent). Afterwards (2+ hours in) everything was fully represented and awesome. Hand presented offerings went directly to those seated and no one else. We are huge supporters of both Chef Connant and Masso and will return in the future but there were multiple lapses that could have been averted in this event

I enjoyed Masso and meeting the owner, Scott, and the friendly barstaff... I enjoyed meeting new friends and enjoying the lovely atmosphere (outside) of this restaurant... I felt like I was somewhere else on holiday, rather than in Vegas.. Thank you for a wonderful evening and Happy 1 year Anniversary... Wishing you many more years of success.

The hostess and wait staff were outstanding and "johnny on the spot" the whole time that we were in attendance. The appetizer sampling was amazing - especially the polenta and brushetta.

We are frequent guests of this terrific restaurant, but a consistent compromise to our experiences here is an EXTREMELY loud and obnoxious bartender (beret-wearing) whose overly boisterous voice and broad-projecting exclamations are way beyond being upbeat & spirited and are instead truly invasive, jarring, irritating, abrasive, rude, tacky, and corrosive to the dining experience here. Further, the sports broadcasts on the bar behind him seem to be a crutch for his amusement and he spends as much time watching and commenting on games as he does actually anticipating and hosting his guests. We’ve observed this over a dozen visits but felt it was time to comment since he was a great source of irritation to so many guests on Thursday night. He may be a competent and congenial bartender but he seems more suited to working at TGI Friday’s or Dave & Buster’s than at this elevated establishment. Energetic is great, but intrusive shouting and over-talking really compromises the vibe here and makes the atmosphere near the bar feel very down-market and “cheap”. We usually enjoy premium after-dinner drinks but he is a disincentive to stay and spend any more money...we just want to leave to escape his space when we’d otherwise have stayed and easily spent another $100 on premium cognacs, fernet, or other wonderful indulgences that we often enjoy. If he changed his energy slightly, I’m certain you’d see a higher check average at the bar as he’s a deterrent to business and not a magnet as he could be. There were three couples around us all complaining to one another about this guy, and none of them ordered desert of after-dinner drinks as everyone just wanted to leave as quickly as possible.

A wonderful dinner. We took advantage of the 1 year anniversary celebration menu, 4 courses, 8 dishes served family style, plus 2 extras to accommodate a special request, and a food allergy. All 6 of us agreed, Every dish was awesome. The service, maybe the best we’ve ever had. We’ve been here before and it was great, this was even better. Scott has figured out how to please, but keep it from being stuffy or overpriced.

All I can say was the pesto served with the warm rolls was the best I have ever eaten, I even asked for more it was so good! We split a heirloom tomato salad that was delicious! My husband had the lamb shank and said it was delicious, I had the bronzino and it was excellent! We will be back!

Masso Osteria is our go to restaurant whenever we're in town. It's our favorite place to go because we know we'll always get great food and service. Scott Conant's restaurants are the best value for your money. Stephanie and her crew were outstanding in providing a comfortable relaxed fine dining experience. Stephanie was able to find the wine we had the last time we were here in Sept. of last year based on the label description my wife provided. It was the 2016 Machete and paired excellently with our meal.

From Stephanie's recommendation, we had the tasting menu which we felt was a great value for the amount of food we got! We started with the house made focaccia and classic meatballs. Then we had the Tomato Salad and the Mixed Radicchio & Endive salad. Then came the signature dish Pasta Al Pomodoro and the Cedar Roasted Branzino was cooked to perfection. We finished off with the Salted Caramel Budino and decaf rich coffee. We literally rolled out of the restaurant we were so stuffed.

Scott Conant can be proud of his restaurants and his outstanding staff. They keep us coming back time and again because of the quality and value of the service and food. Make it a point to go to a Scott Conant restaurant, especially the Masso Osteria one. I believe they have an anniversary coming up this week so get there and have a great time. We sure did.

Masso is always our favorite and Trip is one of the best servers you can find. The food is delish and we always try new combos of something. Sometimes its just appetizers and wine, sometimes just entrees. The pork and veal parm are to die for. The Lamb is always mouth watering. You won't be disappointed.
