Every bit of our experience from top to bottom was excellent! If We are ever in the area again visiting from Phoenix we will definitely be back.
I liked everything we had. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive. I like the quiet booths. We spent a lot, but that was because it was a special occasion, so we splurged on drinks, appetizer, dessert and coffee. Everything was delicious. Would definitely return for a special dinner.
An elegant old fashioned REAL Italian restaurant reminiscent of those in New York.
Great service and excellent food. Good date night venue.
Steak was yummy. Appetizers were delicious. Bread was tasty.
We went for our 2 year anniversary - and, it did not disappoint.
Love David! Won’t go unless we get David! Most fantastic server in the Bay Area!
We had the shrimp cocktail, 5 for 2 people?, and were delicious. Caesar salad for two, deliciousness. Both had the Petra le sole and both were unimpressed. Would never order again. Cheesecake dessert was good, spumoni is not true spumoni, chocolate ice cream with strawberry ice cream. Overall, we were disappointed.
Always a pleasure to dine at Massimo's. The food is always delicious, well prepared and presented. The service is superb. Meeting friends for dinner, Massimo's is our favorite.
One of my favor restaurant in Fremont, Always have energetic service and foods.
Great food; professional service; new interior is very nice.
Great place in Fremont, elegant yet casual. Our waiter Daniel was very nice and attentive. Food was very delicious, would come here again for sure.
We had a wonderful time. The hostess was very gracious and efficient. We were seated immediately. The dining room is a little dark, so it’s the perfect ambiance for a romantic meal. There were 3 of us in our dining party. We all ordered completely different entrees and we all loved our meals. Massimo’s is definitely on my list of fine dining with excellent food.
Fabulous meal with outstanding unrushed service! Highly recommend!
Reservation was at 7pm and they had already run out of potato’s. I would think potato’s are the least expensive thing to buy and they didn’t have any. Was offered French fries with my Seabass. Seabass wasn’t that great either but my husbands Rack of Lamb was good (his second choice because the rib eye was sold out). No wine bucket either to keep our bottle of wine chilled. This place is out go to for special occasions - not tonight I guess. Not sure what happened here.
Our server Sunny was fabulous though-none of the feedback is a reflection of her attentiveness or service.
Have known Massimo's for decades and it still comes through as a great place to dine. We met with some friends for dinner and spent almost 3 hours chatting and enjoying the night. The dining room was comfortable and our server David was extremely professional and playful.
Will be back, again and again.
Always exceptional in service, food, and hosppitality
Food and service was outstanding
Great food, great atmosphere. It was my fiance’s birthday and it was a wonderful place to celebrate. We brought our own wine but the wine selection was decently priced and fairly good choices. Definitely go on an empty stomach because you’re going to want everything on the menu!
Date night dinner last night and we hadn't been to Massimo's in a number of years. We were very pleased with the updated interior, menu and atmosphere.
A couple of things were very off. The openings from the bar area leading to the restaurant allow lots of bar noise into an otherwise nice dining area. My wife's dinner (Halibut) looked great, but was very undercooked. Waitress quickly apologized and brought it back to the kitchen. She returned quickly with a new plate (good), but the fish was again even more undercooked. The waitree confirmed both times. The third time was a charm. However later in the meal, my wife found a hair in her dinner. She but it aside and we didnt's say anything until the waitress noticed the hair on the table.
She apologized and offered to bring us a dessert. We said no thanks. A few minutes later the bill came & CC was taken/returned. It was the last we saw the waitress.
There was nothing removed /adjusted from the bill. I brought my own wine & the bill contained the corkage fee (per the menu). It was disturbing that three errors occured and nothing was reflected on the bill.
Maybe passively aggressive, I removed the $18 corkage fee, gave the server an $18 tip (keep thing bill at the same amount ($99). We walked out. Not a good experience.
It is one of our favorites. Close to home. They recently remodeled and it looks awesome. We have not been in awhile, but it is nice to see familiar faces. Feels almost like family/ friends. The ribeye steak was delicious.
Lovely date lunch, excellent Italian food, especially veal
Lovely restaurant! Good fresh Italian food and the service was excellent.
They has room to improve their friendly services
The evening was delightful and service was great. We have never had a bad meal at Massimo’s. One criticism that we had the other night (we are being very picky) is that when they offered to put cheese on the dish it was from a bowl vs. being graded at the table.
Excellent service done by our server , Leon. Food and ambiance was great. Thank you, we will definitely be back in our now favorite restaurant.
Great place for an lunch meeting. Food and ambience were perfect to have a great discussion.
Dinner was wonderful as usual. So happy our favorite server, Ted, has returned!
The food is always excellent. The service is great. Make sure you have reservations if you want a quiet dinner. Otherwise you may be sat in the bar which can be a little noisy. This is simply the best Italian dinner in Fremont!
Food was good, had the clams as an appetizer then the halibut as the main. The wine selection was limited, especially by the glass. There was only one Italian wine served by the glass, a mediocre Chianti. The California Merlot was acceptable.
The bread was warm and delicious.
The service was very attentive. The waiter picked up real fast that I wanted a slow, leisurely dinner because I wanted to get to know my date. He looked our way every few minutes but allowed us to not feel pressured. Good job.
The dessert was also good as was the espresso.
Service, ambiance and food always great. Restaurant has been remodeled since my last visit. Book a table in the bar area for great service and ambiance.
Had the chicken piccata was amazing and Mathew was our server 5 plus stars. Just a great place for business or pleasure Rich Suess
Massimo’s is our favorite. Our dinner experiences there start with a friendly and warm greeting from the hostess. We always request seating in a booth in the bar area. The lighting is subdued, and it feels intimate and cozy. The servers are very friendly and attentive, but not hovering. David is wonderful! The food has always been delicious, and plenty of it. I highly recommend!
Massimo's is definitely one of the nicest restaurants in Fremont! We dined there for dinner on Mother's Day with a fixed menu. The atmosphere was modern and inviting. Everyone was professional and happy to help overall. All of our food was delicious as well. Only bad thing was that my daughter found a hair in her spaghetti after consuming most of it. However, they did offer to bring her another and proactively took her meal + all beverages (including wine) off of our bill. I didn't have to make a scene of even ask...that was greatly appreciated! Will certainly go back again.
This was a great change of pace for us. The service was great, the food (on Mother’s Day) was really very good. My wife, and one of my sons who was there really appreciated the restaurant.
Being Mother's Day it was a pleasure to have a round table in a quiet room to visit with our family. Service and food were both excellent. Different choices on the menu gave everyone something to choose that they liked. The only dessert not enjoyed as the others was the sorbet as it seemed like three flavors of sorbet should have been three scoops of the sorbet. Overall, we had a great time and will return.
Massimos has always had good food, but on this day they were crowded and I think they were either understaffed, or our waiter was not very attentive.
We had a 5:30 reservation, service was impeccable and the food was wonderful. It was the perfect re to go as it was really quiet. Got a bit louder when we left atound 7. I would go back in a heart beat.
We had dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, service and food.
Outstanding meal and service. Sunny is an outstanding server
One of the Bay area's best kept secrets. . .what have I done?
Great food, great service. They remodeled since my last visit which was years ago and it looks great. The food is exceptional as always.
