Massimo's has been a Fremont destination and landmark since opening in 1976. The name Massimo's is not only the middle name of our late founder but also means “great”. The food, service and atmosphere is the passion of owner Bill Rinetti Jr. We strive to create a cuisine that is fresh, seasonal and prepared with great care and also include some of our classical preparations including our Caesar Salad which is made in the dining room. The fare is American with bits of Italian influences. We have been featured on KQED "Check Please Bay Area".

Be sure to save room for one of Massimo's Flaming Desserts that have become one of our signature preparations.

    Rack of lamb and mixed seafood specials were both good with nice portions . Bread served hot and excellent. Salad portion a bit small. Service was a bit slow.

    Took my wife for mothers day and the experience was amazing. We have been going to Massimos a few times and always great. Food was amazing and everyone were friendly. Highly recommend

    We had two of the evening specials: seafood pasta and petrale sole. Both were excellently done. Sonny's service was excellent, as usual.

    An absolutely fabulous evening! Service was superb & our food was beyond delicious. Caesar salad for two with identical entrees of the veal chop!

    Massimo’s is a great restaurant in Fremont. But I go there for one dish which is unique and amazing, the veal chop smothered in a mushroom sauce. What restaurant sells a veal chop? And when I go to Massimo’s that’s my go to dish because it’s so great. The wine was alright. And they should have more and better wines by the glass But what they have is O.K. We started with Nona’s Meatballs. And that’s just delicious. I don’t know who Nona is, but these meatballs are terrific. Then we had the Caesar Salad which was good. I think adding anchovies would have made it better. We also had the eggplant parmigiana as a side dish. And that’s a tasty dish. But the veal chop is what is on the menu for me. And it will keep me coming back to Massimo’s! Oh, the dessert twrt with the spumoni ice cream was excellent, too. And I have to say that the prices are reasonable for what you get.
