Service was excellent, old style of Caesar salads made table side. Unfortunately, food was served warm, not piping hot. Nothing extraordinary. Good meal out, but nothing special.
It's an ok place to go if you are in the Fremont, CA area. We heard about the restaurant when watching Check Please Bay Area. The service is good and the restaurant has been around for a while.
The menu is excellent. Rack of Lamb and Veal Marsala are delicious. Deserts are freshly made and wonderful
always a great experience--great food-service setting---a pleasure to dine here as a matter of fact my wife and I drive down from moraga to dine here--
5 stars to billy and the gang
What a great place. The second we entered we were treated like family. Our server, Steven, was the best. He took care of everything from start to finish. Lots of food, reasonable price, worth the drive.
Service and food were good . I had noted a birthday request and unfortunately it was ignored
NYE special menu was nothing special. We were very disappointed. My husband had sea bass which was the best of our three entrees. Our daughter had the short ribs which were cooked well but delivered to the table at room temperature...not hot.
I had the pork chop which had a fake looking char on it for the rest of the pork chop was almost white.
The worst of it was the polenta, which was grainy and tasteless.
Desserts were bland and flavorless. The creme brûlée was also grainy.
Service was somewhat attentive.
We thought about trying them again with their regular menu. It will take a lot for me to go back.
Very Disappointment Very Disappointed Disappoint
Massimo's is one of the best restaurants in Fremont. And they have a few unique dishes. One of my favorites is the veal chop. It's like a ribeeye, but only from veal. And it's delicious. All the food from the appetizers to the salads, entrees and desserts, are really great. We're never disappointed at Massimo's.
Both the steak and lobster feel really stale or overcooked. Really wanted to give it another chance as there are few fine dining options in the area but it ended up disappointing.
