Massimo Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
I booked Massimo because i thought it would be a bit older crowd and thus a little quieter for a dinner meeting someone for the first time. I was wrong... it was louder than Spinal Tap's "goes to 11" and my hope to find a quieter table was just that-- a hope. Food and service great but a real bambox of noisr in there....
The food has consistently been outstanding. Even with a busy Saturday night, and last minute reservations on Open Table, we were seated quickly and greeted by our server, Jason. He made awesome recommendations and they turned out to be spot on! I want to go back on a quieter night and maybe sit at the bar first before dining. Everyone at the bar seemed to be having a fun time!
Had your mushroom ravioli’s and they must have been previously frozen as they were like shoe leather to chew, and sauce was just a pool of cream, so disappointed. Why do you advertise your chocolate cake as flourless when it is made with flour...very dangerous for celiacs!
I recently had dinner there with friends to celebrate a birthday. The service was outstanding with an attentive server who was fun and willing to accommodate a few requests regarding meal size. Everything was served at the perfect pace and we had a lovely evening. The food was delicious and our server helped contribute to making it special.
We went to Massimo prior to a Saturday night performance at the Lesher. When we sat down the waiter asked if we were attending a performance so that he could make sure we were able to get there on time. The place was really busy, but they did an outstanding job of providing us with timely service and outstanding food at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Massimo's.
Portions were very good and plentiful. Never have I seen the size of prawns in the shrimp cocktail. There were six in the service and each of the three of us had two each and that was plenty. The beet salad had a nice variety of beets and olives. The veal scaloppini, pork chop and pasta Massimo servings were so large we all took our leftovers home and enjoyed another dinner.
My friend and I celebrated our birthdays at Massimo Ristorante. Our waitress, Lori, was attentive and very helpful. We enjoyed a cocktail before dinner. We each ordered a different delicious salad then shared one entree, grilled black cod. Divine! The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy. We enjoyed talking with each other without having to shout. I can't wait to return to Massimo.
We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and couldn't have been more pleased. There was a special on wine (all wine bottles half off) and the food was exceptional. Best of all, our waitress was super attentive, friendly, and helpful; even though she had a lot of patrons to deal with. We are anxious to return.
We went for a birth celebration, 2 couples. Seated immediately. We each had a starter course and entre. My wedge salad was perfect. Others enjoyed their Cannelloni, Halibut, pork chop, and hmmmm (can't recall).
All was cooked to perfection. We have been here many times before. Always excellent
Massimo is an old-school white table cloth restaurant, a true fine-dining restaurant. We dine here frequently and once again it did not fail to provide a great experience. The service, provided this time by Shawna, was gracious, friendly, accommodating, and very efficient. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice with banquettes along a wall, window tables, and an outside patio. The menu has not changed much over the years, but it doesn’t need to. The Italian menu includes filet mignon, bone-in pork chops, duck breast, pan seared salmon and there is always a fish special. This time it was baked halibut on a bed of pappardelle. There is a full bar and a very nice wine list, including by-the-glass. There is a parking garage directly across the street.
Explorer - My husband and i ate at Massimo's before going to the Lesher theatre which is so convenient. The food and the service were both excellent even though the prices are a bit on the steep side. We split a Waldorf salad which was plenty large. Then we each had salmon which was excellent with a spinach risotto beneath. Loved this dish. For dessert I had a tiramisu which was good but not excellent while my husband had the chocolate cake which was great. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
