   Spaghettoni was a little too al dente. Clams were overdone. Octopus app was great, gnocchi was great. Why did it take 20 mins to get our scoops of gelato?

   Sat outside which we requested but was too sunny. The umbrella was useless. Food was fantastic, party had chicken, branzino, veal and a surf/turf type meal. Portions were generous and cooked to perfection, very tasty, and lovely presentation. Service was excellent, our waiter was very nice and attentive (Kyrie) This was second time at the Providence location and both times were excellent.

   We visited Massimo to celebrate a birthday dinner. I had always wanted to try an authentic Italian carbonara, and I'm glad I tried it here. The short rib gnocchi was fantastic and everything was served hot. Our party ordered a variety of dishes (filetto di manzo, chicken/veal parm, duck, etc.) and they were all delicious. Our server was attentive and made great recommendations. The bread pudding was a star of the show. I look forward to going back!

   What a darling restaurant. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time and so many restaurants to choose from on Federal Hill. We chose Massimo over many others sight unseen. We hit the jackpot. Everyone’s order was fantastic. From short ribs to lemon chicken to vongole. And the salad was one of the best I have had. Our server was Janelle and she was great, giving her personal favorite dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant!

    Wonderful evening! It was first time eating at Massimo and I was impressed. Our server Julia greeted us right away with enthusiasm and warmth setting the mood for a wonderful evening. We started off our meal with delicious bread, then had the calamari which was crispy, spicy and tender. For the main meal we both had the seas bass which just melted in your mouth. What I loved most was the attentiveness of each and every staff member making sure we were happy and taken care of throughout our meal. I would definitely go to Massimo again!!

    It is rare to find an Italian restaurant with a full gluten free menu. They even had gluten free rolls AND cannoli! Our server was fantastic. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Best of all for me was it was safe for me to eat.

    Overall everything was great. Wife and I wanted a nice Italian meal and they provided just that. Calamari was very good. My wife had the seafood spaghetti fish which she loved. My chicken parmigiana wasn’t the best. The chicken was very good and pasta was also good but something about the sauce was off. But still we highly recommend

    We were there for Mother’s day dinner. I was very disappointed!! Our reservation was at 6pm and we waited for the table for 1 hour! Even though they had empty tables, they said they are regular ones and your reservation is for high top ones. They didn’t even give an option to pick regular tables. Right after the hostess took us to our table, table was not even ready and all dirty. They did a quick clean and let us sit around the table which was half wet and half with bread crumbs. All after these, the waiter was so nice but still she forgot to bring bread and a drink that we ordered. Food wise it was ok but only the appetizers! The main dishes were tasteless! I don’t recommend you pick this place for your special occasions! I think they can’t handle with the capacity of the restaurant and overbooking the place!

    The short ribs were not ribs were shredded beef and very oily and greasy no flavor. The surf and turf were supposed to be a ribeye and a lobster tail I asked for my steak medium was given something well done lobster tail overcooked also the plate was oily and greasy presentation on the play terrible👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

    Mother’s Day Went for brunch, but not many items to choose from. 46.95pp included small appetizer, an entree, most paired with egg and a sweet choice. Three in our party, opted for the regular menu, but two of us that went with the brunch were very disappointed. My lobster crepes had two tiny pieces of lobster in each, which were very fishy in taste, I couldn’t eat it and in fairness , the manager did come over and apologized and offered a substitute, but my sweet course was delicious….French toast topped with berries! , and I didn’t have room for anything else. The other person had the crab cakes Benedict, but we were told they were made with lobster which she doesn’t like, so just an average plain eggs Benedict ,?served with fingerling potatoes that were hard as rocks. We have been to this restaurant many many times and service and meal have always been really good. The manager did take one meal off the bill as well. Chalking it up to “ just a bad day”

    Everything was good except the menu. They have a normal brunch menu, but did not allow us to purchase brunch options outside of their Mother’s Day special menu, or their typical dinner menu. It was 10:30 in the morning and everything on the special menu had some sort of seafood. I personally wanted options without fish and didn’t want an entree so early in the day. If their regular brunch menu had been available instead of dinner, I probably would have given 5 stars.

    We came to celebrate my son's graduation and had made the reservation several months ago. When we arrived the table was ready for us but it was a round table in the front on a riser and my father is unable to step up. We asked for a different table and were abruptly told no by 1 of the 3 hostesses at the front. It was a cold evening and the draft went on the table every time the door was open. The food and waitstaff were excellent and went out of their way for us but the hostesses cost this review several stars. Several other 6 seat tables came after us and could have been given our table but the hostesses didn't seem interested in helping a senior citizen. So, waitstaff gets a 5 and the hostess stand gets a 2.
