My mom had such a great birthday lunch. She was so touched by the sign, stars, and sparkler on her dessert.
waiter was great but kitchen management needs improvement to get food out in timely fashion
Great food and incredible service. Definitely will be going back soon.
Another great evening at Massimo! (Wife's birthday w/grown daughters). As always, the service makes the difference. Even though they were packed (a Saturday during Restaurant Week) Alex gave us plenty of attention and made us feel special—a consistent experience over several servers here, in fact. Food was really great. I had scallops over risotto, and a beet salad which was exquisite. Table shared some buratta ravs, which were very very good... and good reports on the filet mignon and classic ol' chicken parm. On a previous evening, I had the veal chop which was probably the best I've ever had. In short, a great experience... fun, lively atmosphere... top-notch food and outstanding service. Thanks again!
World class food. Five star. Ok need 50 characters, food was outstanding, the Spinachi salad with balsamic was phenomenol.
Massimo's exceeded our expectations. A wonderful elegant yet Italian rustic ambiance. All staff acted so professionally. Polite, patient. capable.
We had a lovely long lunch with dear friends and were not disturbed through our lengthy stay at the table.
Complimentary valet parking a plus!
Took advantage of Providence Restaurant Week and tried Massimo. Great choice. Would go there again.
From the Valet parking to the "Thank you for joining us", Massimo more than shined as a dining experience. The Waitstaff was particularly helpful, attentive and responsive. Added to the fact that the food was excellent in preparation and presentation!
The food was so phenomenal and the wait staff is great! I can’t wait to go back, I’m excited for everything on the menu!
Excellent service very attentive waiter Food was fantastic all of the people I dined with enjoy would go back again
Tried Massimo during Restaurant Week and will definitely return. Food was excellent and the service was fantastic!
The 3 course lunch special was outstanding. Fabulous lunch. Great service. We will be back.
Went for restaurant week and the food was a little bland. Ordered the shrimp risotto. The shrimp was tough and chewy and the risotto was on the dry side. The stuffed shell first course was overly salty and underwhelming. The overall meal did not live up to the high expectations I had based on others' personal recommendations.
Overall, was a good dining experience, and I would recommend
A fabulous experience!
Overall a very good experience. We had a 7:30 reservation, and didn't get seated until almost 8pm. However, they recovered very well - gave us a complimentary app immediately when we arrived at the table, and the food we ordered came out FAST. Server was very friendly. Food was delicious.
Lovely restaurant with delicious food. The grilled octopus was outstanding!
Very good food as always. Service was a bit slow but apologetic. Wonderful place!
Didn’t have enough staff to accommodate, and didn’t really figure out a way to make any of the experience streamlined. Food was a 10/10. Entire meal took 3 hours from start to finish due to the inadequacy of the staff involved. Would not revisit this location even though the food was impeccable. Not worth the fuss.
Two of our foursome ordered swordfish, which wasn't available. So, instead, we got halibut. it was overcooked and inedible. After negotiating with the manager for 10 min, he took the halibut off the bill. The other two dishes were fine. But two of us had no main course.
The food was delicious but the restaurant itself was very loud which made it difficult to catch up with friends that came from out of state to dine with us. The service was also very slow.
The charred octopus was a first for me. It was served in a light red sauce with fava beans. A wild experience. The truffle fries were just what I expected, but the waiter was very surprised that I ordered them given that my main meal was pasta. Hey! It was what I was in the mood for. My husband had the Spaghetti alla Pescatora and found it excellent with plenty of shrimp, scallops, mussels, littlenecks, octopus, and calamari in a traditional tomato broth. My fresh pasta was served with Sunday Gravy, sausage, two meatballs and a dash of Narragansett Creamery Ricotta. I had plenty in a take home container for two more meals. My husband had the caramel gelato that was huge. He loved it. I tried a bit and it was wicked sweet. This was our 25th wedding anniversary dinner and accordingly they had sprinkled our table with silk rose petals which was a nice touch. I would have like a free dessert to celebrate as you get when you celebrate a birthday!
Excellent food and service! This is my second time and will definitely keep coming back!
We planned our dinner for a birthday and were pleasantly surprised that the table was decorated for the occasion. Our appetizers, meals, and desserts were all exceptional. The meatball appetizer and pumpkin bread pudding were our favorites. The service was excellent.
Food was good (not exceptional) but service was pretty terrible. They acted like we were a bother to them and they barely attended to us. Also, we were seated upstairs, which has a much duller ambiance.
Eclectic atmosphere, great menu, top notch service.
As always this restaurant doesn’t disappoint. The food and service was outstanding. My wife and I cannot wait to go back.
Excellent service! Pasta was incredible! Very good fine dining experience. Wasn't rushed and the server, Al, was very friendly and helpful!
Was quite excited to dine at Massimo for the 1st time. It wasnt' that I thought the meal was not good, but I guess i was expecting a bit more. Service was very good, and food was good. Not great, but good. I would most likely return one more time as I heard such wonderful things about it, but sure hope the next time is "great".
Awesome food and service! The Gnochi dish with sausage was outstanding.
Food was fine and menu was creative but a bit overpriced. Restaurant was not crowded so service could have been a little more attentive although the waiter was certainly pleasant enough and competent.
Fantastic antipasto was the best with genuine Italian cheeses etc
Drag brunch was amazing! Great experience! Food was good, fixed menu for brunch.
Wait staff was excellent, professional and personable
Server and staff was awesome, food so-so, atmosphere Loud and upstairs bathroom dirty
Was very disappointed. My Husband ordered Chicken Parmesan it came burnt and so dry. I ordered the pan smeared scallops with Brussels sprouts the Scallops were good the sprouts were burnt.
We went to Massimo for our anniversary, which was our first time there. Everything was outstanding! From the service to the food... well done! We will be back soon!
Heard great reviews so we went there on a date. Every dish we got, which we tried several, was phenomenal. The service was top notch. I recommend going to everyone. I will be back!
Everything was prepared to impart great taste. Even the vegetables were noteworthy, no a second thought.
Great food and ambiance. Worth the drive. Great valet parking.
