Fun, spot with convenient parking nearby. Good food and a space that invites conversation above a whisper. Glad to see that it was crowded.
The food and appetizers were fantastic with good sized portions
Some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Burnt chicken piccata. No flavor calamari. The best part was the bread and oil.
Best Italian restaurant in the North end by far
Fantastic pre-game destination!!
Attending a Celtics game, Massamino’s is an excellent restaurant and so close to the TD Garden. The food is always amazing with daily specials
This restaurant was classic Italian. The pasta fagioli was amazing. Perfectly prepared. The veal was also terrific. My daughter had the lobster ravioli. That was the best and. Alone is worth the trip
Wonderful spot for a tasty dinner. Nicole, thank you for being so lovely!
We reserved a table outside and ended up having to have to sit inside, it was incredibly noisy to the point we had to yell to each other as well as very very cramped. The penny vodka did not have a lot of flavor, the sausage vinegar peppers and potatoes were good but only two sausages the veal Parm was excellent.
They accommodate a very large table and we added two extra people the food was delicious the service was perfect overall wonderful experience I highly recommend it
Terrible experience. We booked the wine cellar to celebrate my sons college graduation and when we showed up they told us it wasn’t available and put us at a table near the kitchen and bathroom. Absolutely horrible experience.
Pasta and sauces very good. The best chicken cacciatore I've ever eaten. Fun atmosphere, very Italian, nice staff.
Great food, great service, never disappointed. Always a pleasure.
Excellent food and service. Bone in sword fish was unique and excellent
Great meal and fantastic service. We've enjoyed this place for nearly 30 years. Massamino's never disappoints
Great restaurant!! The food and wine selections were fabulous and I enjoyed sitting outdoors.
Great food and great staff and ambiance - fun place to celebrate
Always amazing in every way!
Service was excellent. Food was good. Very loud so difficult to carry on a conversation.
It is a very small dining room. We could see right into the kitchen. I don’t mind this usually. But, oh boy... the kitchen was disgusting. Food all over the ground. Broken dishes on the floor. Too many people in a very small place. Never again. Especially with everything going on right now. It is a very average Italian meal.
Absolutely amazing food and service! Can’t wait to go back.
Excellent as always, highly recommended. I have eaten many times.
Food was good but service was not as I expected. Ordered apps, soups and entrees. Soup came out with the meal, not before as we wanted. One of the soups was incorrect, wrong soup and a cup and not a bowl. Waited long for the server to return only to tell us that the soup ordered had run out. Server did not bring one of the sides until we prompted him again,. Also he asked if we wanted grated cheese and then forgot to bring it. The only thing he was prompt with was the check.
I've been going here for many years. Normally positive experience. Made a reservation for the basement (a grotto-like feel), traveled all the way there only to be told 'sorry' that's full. Was sat next to the kitchen at a small undersized table where we were privy to all the yelling and swearing by the kitchen staff. We had to eat with our coats on since this table was directly in front of the entry door. We asked to move away from the entry door... but we were 5 people, and it's a table set up for 6... so 'NO'. Horrible experience. If it's a slow night then there's a chance it can be a good time... but once it get's busy, don't expect to be taken care of in any way.
Wonderful meal for graduation celebration! So happy to have found it. Our waiter, Matt, was fantastic and the wine cellar setting was awesome!
Great appetizers and entrees
Wow! Are we glad we ventured off Hanover St. Food was great, service was great, we’ll be back!
Food was fantastic!!! Service is always excellent!!!
We decided on this restaurant based on the reviews and what the menu offered. The dishes that we received didn’t feel like they reflected what the descriptions were. My example is that I ordered a steak medium rare, and it was actually served well done and had a lot of sinewy tough fatty gristle on it that couldn’t be eaten. I gave it back to the server and was disappointed that not only was I not offered a replacement, I was charged full price for the uneaten meal. There were many disappointments for all 6 of us in the dinner party.
Reservation was easy. We used to go here when we were dating and hadn’t been in some time. Traffic was insane and we were running late, but the staff was very accommodating. The food and server were great but the only downfall was it was VERY noisy due to some pre game revelers at the table behind us, so we couldn’t really hear ourselves talk.
Food was OK - overpriced
Service was OK at best
I feel when you are paying a premium you should receive great service and great food.
I will not be going back here again.
Our server pulled his mask DOWN every time he came to our table and then put it back up to walk around. Eventually he took it off and did not even have a mask dangling from his ear. And most other servers did not have masks covering their noses. Don’t go here if you’re covid conscious. Also pretty expensive for what it is
We’ve gone to Massiminos many many times over the past 30 years. This was our first time back since Covid. We had a reservation and were offered a table outside. We did not want to sit outside - that wasn’t our intention when setting the reservation - and to their credit they got us a table inside pretty quickly. However, it was right at the kitchen door so that 2 in our party were practically sitting inside it. Additionally, while the food was good, they had raised their prices significantly which didn’t sit well with us given the atmosphere and overall value. It’s too bad because we’ve been pretty strong advocates of Massiminos in the past.
Adorable patio with authentic Italian food! Spoke with the owners in Italian and enjoyed the calamari (excellent). Great portion size and the tiramisu was great. Planning to return soon!
We went to Massamino's for our first date 30 years ago. We came back for our 15th anniversary. The food was great. We had a great time. I highly recommend the place.
The food was not at the level of the price tag, it was just ok. Ordered their Massimino Mule and it was nothing like a mule and the worse cocktail I've ever tasted.
The service was great, food is top notch.
