WE ARE OPEN FOR DINING ON OUR BEAUTIFUL PATIO AND WE ARE FOLLOWING SOCIAL DISTANCING AND CDC GUIDELINES.
With a beautiful recessed patio, the all-day restaurant and bar conveys the atmosphere of those lively French eateries;
a buoyant neighborhood hub by day (offering coffee drinks, croissants, and egg dishes in the morning, pita sandwiches and classic bistro items such as steak-frites for lunch) to a festive ambiance at night around dishes such as homemade pasta, gambas au pastis, eight-hour braised lamb, and Moroccan tajine.
The unique crafted cocktail program is based around spirits from the South of France and Italy, with a dedicated Negroni menu, as well as an extensive selection of Amari and French brandies.
Massilia is open every day at 7:00am.

It was our first time to the restaurant and we thought it was wonderful! The food was excellent we had the steak and spaghetti. Service was really good everyone was super friendly.
Terrific service, a fun environment and great food. Go.
Great French by actual French people
Great food and ambiance. Everyone liked everything they had. We'll be back.
I love the staff, the ambience, the food, and the staff's tolerance of my passable French.
Food was delicious, service was impeccable and we had a wonderful time!
Great patio, food and service.
The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was very good. We had Branzino, lamb shanks and tagliatelle with morilles. Meatballs app was spicy and good. The wine list was really good. Choices you don’t often see. The only downside is the ambiance and noise level. Feels like you eating in the middle of the street but I guess that is true for most restaurants in the area.
Lovely atmosphere, very good service, and excellent food. The only problem was the traffic noise from 4th St, Santa Monica
Yummy food, nicely presented, and generous portions. Our group had the Bolognese, the
brioche french toast with crispy bacon, the buckwheat pancakes, and the Socca breakfast pizza. All enjoyable....we were a happy and well-fed group!
Our waiter was exceptional, very attentive, great attitude, and caring in his approach.
We'll definitely be back!
The menu is great. Hardest part was picking a dish because they all sounded amazing. Food was very good. Service was excellent.
Helpful wait person, really delicious shaved Brussels sprout salad, and melt-in-your- mouth chicken Tajine. We liked it all.
Was in town with my daughter. I googled best places to eat near me. Google was right!! Great place , good vibe, excellent staff and the food was out of this world.
Honestly one of the best meals I have had this year! The food was out of this world. We had the lamb shank which I can’t recommend highly enough and the steak frites which was amazing. Great wine selection! Beautiful decor and nice ambiance. Excellent service. Will be backs
Mushroom pizza was Outstanding!!
Prosciutto, roasted peppers & burrata on
ciabatta was incredible. Background music
Horrible experience. Worst service I’ve ever had ever. Would not recommend or ever go back.
We came expecting fine dining and we sat through dinner with music so loud that we had to practically yell at one another in order to carry on a conversation. The food and service were very good, but the ear-crashing sound ambience interfered with what might have been an enjoyable dining experience. A restaurant's reputation should be based on its food and service and not how hip they are trying or be.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed upon my second visit to this restaurant. First off, they did not want to honor our reservation for outside. I told them that I had put the request in the reservation and that our party did not feel comfortable sitting inside due to Covid. The hostess stated that sitting outside is only a request and cannot be guaranteed. They did finally seat us outside about 35-40 minutes after our reservation time. The food was also not as good as I remember it. The lamb was dry. However, the burrata with dried fruit and prosciutto was delicious. With all the great restaurants in LA, I will not be returning.
Quick weekend trip to LA. Great ambience, food, reasonable pricing if you consider the HH menu and very attentive and accomodating staff. Definitely returning!
Casual late afternoon/early evening small plates & drinks. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we had quite a few items - ratatouille, burrata, calamari, salmon flat bread, & grilled broccolini... oh, and a side of french fries!! Service was timely, friendly and attentive... we really appreciated the excellent service!!
Our waiter was amazing (don’t remember his name).
The French guy is the best!! Funny, good service and entertaining.
Great food, great wines, great staff!
Great service and delicious food. The couscous was so good. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Massilia was a disappointment for a couple reasons. First, we were unaware that for lunch during the week there is no table service - they require you to order from the counter and then they deliver the food to your table, as if this was California Chicken Cafe. Very surprising for a restaurant whose wine list includes Mouton-Rothschild @ $2k/bottle. To add insult to injury the "waitress" tried to convince us this is the way they do things in France. We had all been to France multiple times and never had that experience. 2nd faux pas - we ordered a bottle of wine vintage 2016 and the bottle they brought out was 2018. When I brought this to the waitress' attention she said that this was the list from when the restaurant first opened and that was her explanation of why it was different. In an era when menus and wine lists are all online there is no reason why a list should be outdated. Other than that the food was good but nothing special.
Love the food
Service was great but unfortunately, the burrata magherita pizza was lukewarm or even cool when it was served which kind of surprised us because we all commented on it. Cocktails were tasty but overpriced, but that seems to be the expectation in higher end restaurants today so, I can live with it.
The branzino was OK but a tad dry and the chimichurri sauce tasted more like butter with some minty spice in it. Not my fave.
Roasted wild mushrooms pretty much seemed just traditional white mushrooms with some butter. Nothing special.
The patatas bravas was great! Wine selection very good.
I will say the servers were very attentive and I will try this restaurant again but I would not get the same items. I don’t understand why the pizza would’ve been cool as one of the expectations is that pizza comes out hot and that nice buffalo mozzarella is hot and stretchy.
I would’ve tried the clams with Merguez sausage but I understand the clams are the smaller Malaysian type and I’m not a big fan.
Good food, but steak was not all that good. Pasta was amazing
This was my first time sitting down to dine at a restaurant since lockdowns began last year and Massilia’s staff were extremely accommodating. Service at Massilia was above and beyond with the servers cracking witty remarks and knowing exactly when to come over to our table in a very friendly way. The excellent service complimented the food wonderfully and made for a memorable and delicious brunch. I will certainly be back!
Great service, fast and delicious food. I would go back!
The broccoli, spinach, and green curry soup with a side of bread literally sends my emotions to the moon.
It’s so good I almost passed a $20 bill to the chef for the audacity to make something so delicious.
Simply delicious. Staff was amazing
The service and the ambience of the restaurant were pretty great. The food does seem a little over priced for what you get. Especially the more expensive dishes they should use higher quality ingredients. But if you're looking for a cool place to grab some drinks and a small bite to eat it is not a bad choice.
Almost every dish we tried was really tasty and enjoyable. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave really great recommendations. Only con was that our lamb shank was too salty, but still good (meat fell off the bone!).
Phenomenal food and atmosphere. This is a great, trendy spot with outdoor dining and made-with-love dishes. You can tell from your very first item that everything is fresh, professionally done, and made correctly. One of my favorite restaurants ever.
Amazing!! Great service, amazing food. Cocktails were spectacular- recommend the Negronis.
The service was beyond amazing! The food, the wine, and the whole experience was beyond what I would’ve imagined. If you want the perfect restaurant in Santa Monica that doesn’t feel like a tourist trap this is it! I will certainly be going back there again as a local, this is my new jam!
Very charming restaurant - food was excellent, and service was quick and courteous
Server didn’t take everyone’s order at the table, never came back to get it.
Plumbing was out, couldn’t wash my hands.
Fryers were disables so 90% of the menu was off limits. Just a bad experience.
Cool spot, good food, good drinks, outdoor dining, happy hour!
