The staff is very friendly and immediately welcomed us when we walked through the door. They sat us down and got our cocktails and went over specials but didn’t rush us when we wanted to just talk and enjoy the our drinks. Once we ordered the food came out quickly and was spot on. Decor is very nice and warm. Nice place to take your significant other or a date.

The Maitre d' was obnoxious. It was virtually impossible to hear the conversation. But the service was excellent and the food was good to very good, although my swordfish was over cooked and too dry.

I would have given 5 stars across the board…..food was great, service was great, place was nice…..but $18 for a Tito’s and club is ridiculous!!! I would hesitate to recommend for that reason only.

We had a lovely experience Thursday evening, having our Thanksgiving Dinner at this restaurant. The whole environment was lovely and the food delicious. We will definitely frequent it again and recommend it highly.

Very small portions for the price. Turkey dinner was just so so. Butternut soup and ricotta dessert exquisite; eggplant parm good, but 2 in x 2 in square. Sad on the plate, especially for a TG meal. Salad was really nothing special, looked a little old actually.

A wonderful neighborhood find. Exquisite Italian cuisine, wonderful service, in a setting where it is possible to talk to people at your table. We go back there whenever we are in NYC (which fortunately is frequently), and it is a true joy. Recently recommended it to some friends who were staying at our condo, and they loved it so much, they went back twice in one week.

Too bad this restaurant has really gone downhill. I’ve spoken to the manager from the visit before this and told him how disappointed in the food and the size of the portions We decided to give you another chance but it wasn’t good and this visit was worse. I had asked the waiter if he could substitute spinach for string beans, and he said he could not do that The chef wouldn’t let him when I spoke to the manager he said of course he could . He brought us this big portion of spinach. Too bad it’s such a great restaurant went downhill so fast we won’t go back

Excellent on all counts - delicious food, great service and although the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night noise level was only a pleasant buzz where our table was in the rear of the restaurant. Not cheap but worth it!

Noisy, Crammed tight w/ tables & I felt discriminated as host stuck us at a smaller table when there were other bigger empty tables & other parties of 2 at a 4-top. On top of that, table had very little space & barely fit our entree dishes & therefore we were discouraged to order more. Waiter didn’t know difference between dark & white meat chicken. NOT happy nor comfortable.

High prices, especially for the “specials”, at a neighbourhood restaurant. While they have a fancy prosciutto slicer centered in the dining area, Masseria does not have anyone who knows how to use it correctly. My prosciutto starter was all slivers and scraps. $31.50! The serving was terrific, start to finish. Complimentary biscotti with our cappuccino. All in all, a notch above meh.
