Masraff's Ratings and Reviews
Took my wife there for Valentine's day, and she loved it! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a romantic dinner. The staff is friendly, and even the owner came and thanked us for visiting his restaurant. 10 Stars definitely!
Once again, Masraff's exceeded my expectations with their food, service and ambiance. We were seated at a corner table in the wineroom for Valentine's. I lied to my g/f that I forgot her Valentine gift, but had dropped it off earlier so that it would be presented to her when dessert was served. Leo, our trusted waiter, pulled off the charade to perfection. A great meal, service and Valentine's at Masraff's.
Masraff's is consistently excellent. It isn't trendy; the food isn't mind blowingly creative. It is, however, reliably satisfying in every way. The food is top notch, and the service is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Yes, the high end decor may be approaching dated -- but it still feels pretty posh, and they have a great patio with heaters in the winter. A manager (often the owner) makes rounds to greet patrons in person, so we always feel appreciated. I have never, ever been disappointed here.
When we have date night and don't feel like fighting for a spot at the bar -- much less a table -- this is where we come. The ambiance is chill even when there's a crowd, and the food and service never suffer on account of busy nights (like Valentines, NYE, etc...). Masraff's is a neighborhood gem for a reason!!!
I can never say enough about this restaurant. From the first time we ate there, soon after they moved to this location, the menu and the food have always been top quality with a flair that most really good restaurants just cannot match. It is really not so much that their food is unique but, rather, they prepare it and serve it in a style that matches the owner's concept of fine dining that brings people back again and again. My hat is off to Tony Masraff and his entire staff in making our business meeting very successful and our guests simply raving about the food and the waite staff! Thank you again for everything.
This is our favorite restaurant in Texas, and we try to dine here often. Our meals were fabulous! The service provided by our waiter was spot-on, and the wine suggested by our sommelier was perfect for our meal. Mr. Tony Masraff stopped by our table to be certain everything was good and we had a lovely conversation with him. It is evident he loves his business and his customers. We’ll be back on our next trip to Houston!
We enjoyed a dual celebration for a birthday and out of town company. Everything went as hoped from the greeting by the valet, at the door and the front desk.
The server was prompt and attentive but allowed us to set the pace to order. The food came smoothly and everyone was served hot food at the same time. Tony Masraff checked on us and was welcoming and personable. Nice touch.
The food was spectacular - probably one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Service was great. I did think, however, that the music being played was bizarre - some kind of strange techno weird noise, and obviously loud enough that I could hear it over our conversation among the 7 people at our table. Not in keeping with a restaurant of that quality and price point. Play some Sinatra or nice jazz, Broadway scores, or anything else! The 'music' was plain bad!
I couldn't have had a better experience. There isn't a rating high enough for how good the food was. Furthermore, several of the management and wait staff came by our table just to thank us for spending my birthday there. I have always liked this place and it has gone even higher in my opinion.
Four of us getting together for dinner. Seated quickly in a side room to the rear and left which has around 6 or so tables. This meant noise level was much lower than in main dining and bar areas.
Served at a nice pace - could see we were chatting over cocktails so left us alone for a bit.
Food was excellent - my wife had the John Dory which was special that day (loved it!) and I had the Branzino which was also very nice. Good choice of wines and excellent service. Owner came round to say hi which was a nice touch.
The restaurant is very pretty. The service is very nice and professional. The food was just good borderline ok. The Caesar salad was bad. The dressing was flavorless. I also think fresh anchovies would be great. The duck appetizer, the scallops, and duck entree were ok. They lacked any surprise. The wine list is good.
