Masraff's Ratings and Reviews
Masraff's is the one restaurant that we are 99% of the time going to have an excellent appetizer, 2nd course, entree and dessert with them spot on in flavor, temperature, presentation. The service is always impeccable. The atmosphere except for December and specific holidays it is very quiet and reserved, on the before mentioned times it is much louder but not unbearable. A conversation can still be had. We have pretty much everything on the menu here including off the menu and creating my own mix (wanted the tenderloin with the sides from the fish special).
Hands down, good food and great service. Most people in there were business lunch type of people dressed for work. Hubby and I were out on a lunch date while children at school. Excellent place. I’ll let the pics of some of our food speak for itself. Not all my food was photographed because it looked so good I ate it before snapping a photo.
Delicious food, lovely decor, extremely charming host..... Masraff's offers a very special dining experience. There is one regret. I took the waiter's wine suggestion without asking the price, and paid $30 for a 'poor pour', double the average price for a glass of wine on the menu.
I chose Masraff’s because it was a local restaurant, and I am thrilled with the choice. I had an ahi salad on spinach, which was amazing! I wanted to come back the next day for lunch, but they don’t serve lunch on Saturday. Oh well, i’ll try again the next time I’m in Houston.
I've dined at Masraff's many times and have always had a very good experience. This day was pretty much on point as any other but the quality of today's meal was a bit lacking. The filet had just a bit more marbling then it should have and the lobster pot pie was almost absent of lobster. I can only attribute it as a fluke since this establishment has very high standards for the most part and will always recommend this place to everyone. Our server was attentive but not annoying, I truly appreciate that. Hostesses were nice and professional. Thumbs up to the visit.
We were a late night party of eight to dine and watch one of the World Series games. They set us up a table in the bar area that was perfect to see game, enjoy a fine dining experience, talk among ourselves, and celebrated a milestone business event. Thank you Masraff waiter and bartenders!
We were from in from out of town to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first trip here, but hopefully not the last. Great food and attentive service, capped off by the owner stopping by to talk with us. I would recommend this to anyone in Houston looking for a nice night out. A real gem.
Masraff's is a Houston tradition, with elegant decor and fresh seafood, along with great service. It's nice to see the Masraff family actively involved, with personality that is often missing in restaurants of this caliber. Incredible wine list to suit any taste.
I was expecting more based on the reviews and reputation. The food was OK, both fish dishes were very rich and both served with risotto. I'm not a fan of risotto, the waiter said he couldn't substitute with more veggies. The bread basket looked wonderful most of the bread was stale. We were sold on the fish special fish, but the waiter came back and told us they had sold out of it, the back-up wasn't that great. It was disappointing, but maybe just an off night and definitely it happens about selling out of a fish, the food just didn't live up to expectations for me.
