   Great place to listen to live music. We went on a Friday. The crowd was sparse, but that was fine with us. Unfortunately there was a problem with the kitchen and our waiter was not forthcoming with information regarding the problem. We waited an hour to get our dinner and then my dinner and that of my friend's was so salty that we couldn't eat it. After finally locating our waiter he apologized and said that he would replace our dishes. Another wait of 15 minutes and then he returns with the new plates but it was still as salty as the ones he took away. My theory was that the whole batch was probably salty so getting a new plate wouldn't solve the problem. He asked me if I wanted something else and I ordered another veggie plate which took another 15 minutes. So now I have waited 1-1/2 hours and I hadn't eaten since lunch. The chef was nice enough to come to our table and apologize and said he would deduct the meal from our check (which he did). He said that this was only his 3rd night on board and this was the last night that the former chef would be there and that things would be different on my next visit. He asked me to come back the following week, which I plan to. He was very nice. I find fault with the waiter in that he never during the whole time we waited for our food, offered to bring out an appetizer or even some bread and butter for us to nosh on until our food arrived. At one point in a futile effort to locate him, I went to the kitchen myself to ask the chef what was on the dessert menu. He promptly sent out a fantastic pots de crème! I finally spotted my waiter sitting down having a bite to eat. I will return as I loved the ambience and the music. However, I will eat before I go.

   The food and service was good! Evolution band was great! Will return for live jazz music

   Great addition to the Murphy's family. Great food, service and atmosphere. We will definitely dining again at this great neighborhood (VA Highlands) spot.

   Pros: Tons of parking; nightly specials - we went on a Thursday night and their house cocktails are half-off until 9pm; Cons: My burger was good aside from the bottom half which was burned, the restaurant was not full and we still waited 20+ min for food and our waiter never really came back after we got our food so we were thirsty and without ketchup. Overall, I might give MT a second chance but it was very average. Probably good for large groups or families - not a girls night.

   I'm sorry to say that I was very disappointed in this place. It was nothing but a fancy "bar food" place. I felt deceived. The food was OK at best. Service was at that same level, although our server did try and have good intent. I wasted over $50 in a meal that could have been better spent elsewhere. I won't go back, nor would I recommend it to anyone but maybe college kids looking for a place to hang out.

   They were out of a draft beer that I wanted, so I ordered another one which also they were out of. Basically they were tapped out of 3-4 beers and also dint have the options that I picked by bottle 😳 By the time I got a drink it was an hour after I had sat down, which was disappointing. Their food was pretty good.

   Best burger I have every eaten! Large bar options. I would definitely recommend Mason Tavern.

   The live jazz band was the highlight of the night, they didn't have much of a menu with small portions i was disappointed with the food, but the drinks were good and atmosphere great.

    Overal very good experience, the ambiance was amazing, the food was very tasty and an amazing selection of craft beers. Our server seemed bogged down and was not as attentive as I would have liked but otherwise great experience. I took my Girlfriend there to celebrate our first Valentine's Day and we will definitely be back. I will definitely refer this place to someone else
