Pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was! The steamed clams were the best we’ve ever had! Love the values of Farestart and we will definitely go again. Great conversation with our waiter who explained the organization to us thoroughly.
Had lunch to celebrate our friend’s birthday. The service was very slow and our waiter assumed we were done and provided our bill. At that point we decided to pay and leave.
The food was very good and the staff was very friendly.
very nice spacious not noisy place for a lunch, good variety of menu options, friendly service
This is a large and lovely restaurant with a variety of seating options. My review reflects the fact that all employees are in job training; that said, the food is very good. The service was a little slow, but enthusiastic. I would just remind potential customers that the higher than expected meal prices provide a contribution to a very worthwhile effort. Kudos, FareStart!
Just... wow. Not pretentious but fantastic!!
Great service, great food, amazing mission!
Space is super cool and comfortable, food was delicious! Make sure to try the crab cakes and cauliflower apps! Super cool cocktail selection. A must visit in SLU!
The restaurant is not vegetarian/vegan friendly. Even the normal Caeser salad has anochovies in them.
Delicious food; excellent service; good menu with nice vegetarian options. Beautiful space in the old David Smith store.
Good experience! We were seated quickly and food came promptly after ordering. The music was VERY loud which made it difficult to hear all the guests at my 5 person table. I love Farestart's mission!
We always enjoy our dinner at Maslows. Delicious creative menu and friendly service
The salmon sandwich was terrific. Blackened salmon cooked just right with a tasty aoli.
The apple crisp was a great way to end the evening.
The service was outstanding, and the food was amazing! We came here with a party of six for a business dinner. And we traded exceptionally well. I serve it was very attentive. And her recommendations for spot on!
We tried Maslow's for the first time recently and loved it. We had the cauliflower and a beet salad to start, and then had salmon, mushroom pasta, and the Hainan chicken dish. All were delicious. We will definitely come back to this restaurant.
Had an excellent meal. Food was creative and packed with flavor. Wine selection good but, a little pricey.
Service was good.
A fine meal that is also great for the community!
Large, well designed dining place. Good lighting, good variations in seating (up close or distant from TV screens) so you could find the ambiance you wanted. Food was a good offering (hanger steak w/ fries, fish and chips, pasta with mushrooms, asian vegetables with chicken) but not really special in seasonings. Meals came with no bread and no side salad.
Highly recommended! Good food, trendy and comfortable locale, awesome cause.
Everything we ordered was delicious! Both the drinks and the food were fabulous.
I was impressed- food was very good and reasonably priced. Waitress was friendly. The only disappointment was that I made reservations and yet they sat us in the bar section rather than the restaurant side. Sorta weird.
A great addition by FareStart. Eat and give back, what better way to live.
This is my third visit to Maslow’s and it is a consistent and excellent experience. The food is always excellent. The service has been exceptional each time. There is great training and work being done through FareStart and I am happy to be a part of their impact.
Came in because we had a free appetizer coupon (which I forgot) but would definitely come back! The dessert was so good!
We really enjoyed our evening here. Our server, Ro, had a warm and fun personality. The food was delicious, including lovely desserts.
Excellent meal and service! Jodi was great!
We always enjoy dining at Maslows. The food is creative and delicious with options to fit a variety of tastes. The service is prompt, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend!
Great restaurant with great food and a better mission. 10/10
Excellent beet salad (could use little more dressing). French fries done to perfection. Mimosa was perfection. Tennyson was a terrific server, good sense of humor and knowledgeable.
We had a family get together with out of town guests and our meal was genuinely wonderful! They were able to accommodate meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. We all agreed our meals were excellent. We have already been a couple of times and will be back. It's very easy to park nearby and never crowded in the evening after the work crowd has left.
Just great food and friendly capable service. Straight up.
The restaurant is very noisy. Our service was fair - had to keep asking for our waiter. Food was ok. Steak was overcooked, the portion was very small and was overcome by too many greens.
I was there because my goddaughter is going to culinary school, it could give one confidence that anyone can do it. The place was impressive as well as the food and service especially since it is run by homeless. Everyone was very professional. If something was a impressive standout, in my opinion, it was the dessert. The presentation and flavor was awesome, fresh and tasty. I am not a dessert person either. I am not a drinker but the others all seem to like the bar which is good because that is where the money is made in most restaurants. The bathrooms give a modern and warm acceptance of all who come.
Wonderful food and delightful service. What dining should be in Seattle. Excellent nourishment for myself and my community.
Of our meals out on this trip to Seattle, this was my favorite. I love the cause of this place, and the food was good and fresh tasting.
Solid but basic dishes- a bit low energy , but very attentive staff. Good value for dinner out and solid beer selection.
As usual service and food wonderful!!!! Beet salad with salmon with a side of fries and garlic aoli- delish!!
It was terrific! Had a big group of 10 and they sent over a pre-order template so that we could get our food quickly and divide the bill evenly. Everyone was very pleased w how smoothly it went!
A great meal for a totally reasonable price! Lunch favorites with some sophistication. Everything prepared very well and served with excellent care. Maybe include more info on your mission at the tables?
Very pleasantly surprised! The food was exquisite, service excellent, ambience pleasant, and the price for the Crispy Skin Wild Salmon and the Steak Frites, 1 wine, 1 beer, came out to $81 with tip. Recommend highly!
Went to Maslow's for a burger and beer pairing event they put on. Nacho burger sounded great, tasted pretty good, and the beer was good. The real let down was the service. We had to hunt someone down to get a menu, waited 15-20 mins for the waitress to show up and take our order. The food and drinks came out quick, but we never saw our waitress again. Sometimes you can rationalize bad service when the restaurant is full, but half the tables were empty. 30 mins after we finished eating we had to go to the front reception to ask for a check. Normally I like the default 15-20% tip to ensure servers make a good wage, but we had no service and still got stuck paying 20%. Won't be going back.
We made reservations to take out of state friends for dinner. We believe in the concept that Fare Start advances, and wanted to try out the new restaurant. The food was excellent, our server Angelo was wonderful, friendly, considerate, helpful, and sincerely interested in making sure our experience was exceptional. One of our party has hearing difficulties, and our special request to be seated in a quiet area was readily accommodated. I had the smoked pork belly (awesome, crispy and delicious, other dishes ordered were fish'n'ships, steak frittes, and vegetable ratatouille. Every plate was sent back to the kitchen clean. Good wine list, great Manhattan, tasty desserts (key lime tart kit, blackberry cobbler a' la mode; neither over-sweet) and great service support for our primary server made this experience one that we will definitely want to repeat. So, a great dinner for four for with wine, cocktails and dessert under $200 was a delightful surprise in Seattle. The only other surprise was that this restaurant was not packed on a Saturday night. Given that, I will be back, and soon.
