Masala Bistro at Kismet Winery
The name Kismet is derived from the Punjabi word 'destiny'. We consider ourselves lucky to be able to consider Canada our home that provided us with endless possibilities. This has been a long time dream of our family to share our labour of love and hard work directly with customers.
Our wines are meant to over deliver on your expectations and we hope that our determined experience and dedication for our wines has an ever lasting effect on your tasting experience.
Excellent food and service, anticipating my next visit!
A valentines special buffet with a simple selection of food. Excellent flavour of the choices and different sauces to accompany the fresh food. An included wine from Kismet came with each meal along with an extremely fresh cheesecake and a chocolate covered strawberry in the side. Could have used maybe one more server but wasn’t a huge deal. Live music throughout the evening from a local duo made this a great date night.
It was our friends birthday and anniversary. The staff made it extra special giving them a card signed by all and a dessert and Chai. The food was wonderful and the wine pairing terrific. Thank you for helping us make their day one to remember. Highly recommend dining here.

Amazing food and service. It doesn’t get better than this!
Had a lovely meal however there was a large table of 10 people that seemed to take all the servers attention,,,our service was minimal at best...kind of like,oh yeah there’s other patrons in here! Otherwise food was great..would still go again...
Lovely outside patio and friendly service. Food was enjoyable and fresh but overall felt that the price was steep for what was served.
We ordered a platter of appetizers all deep fried. Most were overdone. Service was ok, but not what I expected.
Met friends for lunch. Fortunately there were suitable appetizers which made a fine lunch with a bottle of wine. Too many wineries are serving only dinner sized (and priced!) options all day. Service was good and patio lovely.
Weather was problem! Had to sit inside - one large noisy room with a big group! Not really their fault, but room could provide more privacy and noise barriers????
The patio was quite lovely. Service was quite slow even though the restaurant was empty. Our server did not check back up on us. My husband had a hard time waving for someone to comeback over. We found the food to be yummy.. that’s what really counts. Also did not appreciate paying so much extra for a bottle of wine. We had previously purchased a bottle from the store that was $22, and they charged $35 for the same bottle at the bistro. I understand that you are paying more to be served, however, that’s a bit much.
Each time we head up to Oliver to do wine tours a stop at Masala Bistro is a must. Their food brings us back time and time again.
Amazing. We were here last year when we came to Osoyoos and couldn’t wait to come back. The food and service was even better than I remembered. Fantastic. We will be back again next time we are down this way.
Love this restaurant, it has the best food, wine and a wonderful patio!
Best restaurant in the Okanagan-Similkameen......doesn’t hurt that it is attached to a winery!
Food was excellent and the staff are very friendly.
Food was very good - we had a wonderful experience
Best Indian food I’ve ever had!
Excellent customer service & amazing food!
Food was excellent but unfortunately we felt rushed from the moment we walked in the door. We had a reservation for 630 but were told we had to order immediately as the kitchen was closing at 7 p.m.
So we ordered a starter and mains. The starters were cleared away as the the last mouthful went in and a nite later the mains were delivered. Within 50 minutes of arriving we were given the bill.
It is a lovely setting and the food was fabulous but it is not a place where you can dine in a relaxed manner.
It would be better for a lunch.
We won't be going back for dinner.
Love this restaurant. The food is fabulous and the patio in good weather is a wonderful setting! Highly recommend to everyone!
So dissatisfied with our experience
It’s a clinical atmosphere with hard floors uncomfortable lack of soft furnishings on hard chairs, no partitions in a huge room
Very UN INDIAN
Looked after by fairly charmless staff that had no idea about Indian food
We are on keto so requested extra protein which we were happy to pay for.., all they did was leave off naans and rice and put the most incongruous salad garnish on the side of the plate
Still charged full price ($30 for four tiny lamb cutlets) ($20 for overcooked “tandoori” which was just bbq’d) and twenty ish bucks per tiny tiny bowl of overcooked sludgy curries.
Zero brightness, zero imagination, zero authenticity.... zero chance of is returning
Best Indian food by far. The patio is wonderful, but the indoor dining room lacks character. So, if the weather is warm, have a fantastic meal on the patio. The food is just as good indoors, too, but you will look longingly out the windows at the Vineyard and the mountains.
Amazing dining experience. The food is literally mouthwatering.
We will be back for sure, food was good, service a little slow but friendly. Nice atmosphere but noisy. Very nice patio with great views over vineyards!
Lovely meal! Delicious butter chicken and samosas.
Wine tasting room was fabulous also, thank you to Laura for the great service at the tasting bar!
Superb Indian cuisine, great atmosphere in the midst of a vineyard. Very nice staff. Highly recommended!
Food was excellent. Service was friendly...great wine, wonderful patio, prices were reasonable.
We will return!
We really enjoy Kismet! They can’t help the weather and smoke situation - but regardless it is worth going, whether sitting inside or outside! Food is very good!
We didn’t get out 100 Open Table points - can we
Food was amazing good! But very pricey! We didn’t expect to pay 300$ for 4 adults! Also they forgot a few side items but charged us for them anyways. We noticed these after the fact.
Eat here for sure, but make sure you look at prices!
We were four - none of us experienced in Indian cuisine. We all loved our meals! The meals were hearty and delicious! Servers were fun. We are planning a return trip back already!
The food was amazing. The curry prawns were outstanding. There were three of us. We ordered and ate tapas style and had a great time. It was hot so they turned in the outside misters, what a difference. The service was great. We are visiting for three weeks and will absolutely go again.
Food is fantastic - to go order took too long even though we ordered with food so waited around after for too long. Seems like they will get that sorted out.
Incredible food - had the veggie pakoras, salad, biryani and lamb vindaloo. Mild was pretty spicy but they brought yogurt etc. Service was a bit slow (empty water etc.) despite not being too busy but food was awesome. We sat outside but inside needs some dividers for a bit more intimacy for date night/ noise etc.
Had a wonderful meal at this great venue. Will be back again many times.
Service was very good - hostess took time to stop by every so often to see how we’re doing - atmosphere was very friendly - We had a wonderful meal
Great taste of India in the Okanagan- our server Sara made our lunch superb - we will be back
