The service was great. It was beautiful and very clean. The food was very good but not the very very best I’ve ever had when it comes to sushi. What could have made it better would be a salad with ginger and miso soup offered rather than a fee or up the price of the sushi to cover it. I don’t expect it free but as part of a meal. The lobster miso was not very good. The rolls and the steak rice bowl we had was fantastic. The service as I said was top notch. One other odd thing the water that was served was luke warm. No ice? I thought that too could be better. I would go back and I would take friends.
Please try their omakase. It is worth it! Good portion and delicious food :)
Absolutely amazing service and food. The Miso cod was a bit "mushy" for me but maybe that was intended but the pot stickers, otosan and salmon maki rolls were fantastic! Cant wait to go back
good food but prices were kinda high considering the quality wasn't amazing
Delicious & fresh! Great sashimi! Great service! Can’t go wrong ordering anything on the menu!
A memorable meal. Can’t wait to go back.
The food and service is amazing . One of the best sushi restaurants in Ontario
Beautiful, bright tones on the sashimi. Textures on the raw fish were firm and clean. The bluefin tuna belly was a gorgeous, melt-on-your-tongue experience. Presentation was delightful! Done with precision and with an obvious emphasis on seasonality, asymmetry, colour and open space on the plate that is pleasing to the eye.
Service was attentive and deeply appreciative without being cloying. The mixed sake-based cocktails were very refreshing.
Just a truly special experience!
It was a quiet dinner, just as I wanted. The service was excellent as was the food. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it so much that we decided we should do it again
A gem of a Japanese restaurant in Niagara on the Lake. As it is in the lower level of the Moffat Hotel, I had walked by it many times on the way to the Shaw, but had never stopped in. Mea Culpa! When I finally did, I could have kicked myself for not doing it sooner. As good as my two favourites, Masayuki in Burlington and Mye in Oakville. Treat yourself to some excellent Japanese cuisine...
Loved the Sushi and Sashimi! Excellent. It was our first time there. We love sushi and read good things about this place. It was much better than what we were used to. Will definetely go there again.
Overall high quality food!
The food at Masaki was delicious and the service was great. They also made us feel extra special by treating us to a special anniversary dessert.
It would be good if they decrease the lighting just a touch as the place is very bright for a dinner. food is amazing!
Yoshi looked after us expertly and with good humor.
Our three course meals were the best sushi and sashimi we've ever had, and beautifully presented.
A superb dining experience!
Absolutely the best sushi we have ever had - exceptionally fresh. Looking forward to going there again. Definitely get the miso soup while you are there - but really, you can't go wrong with anything. Serving staff were kind and took the time to explain the different types of sushi once our plate came to the table and shared where the fish came from. Don't miss this place if you enjoy sushi!
First time for the three of us and a great first impression.
We enjoyed going there. The staff and Owner are very friendly And you feel like you’re at home. The food is fantastic
Always a great meal! We love coming here, very polite staff and great sushi
Excellent high quality food. Friendly stuff. Not rushed.
Every time I go there I’m always happy.
Excellent service and excellent food!
The food is good but price point is kinda high. I suggest that you remove the visible milk crates in the back hallway, and you repair the ceiling tiles in the men’s bathroom. The tiles in the men’s bathroom were scuffed. Also, why was the second dining room closed off? It would be more private if that room could have been used. Thanks
Excellent Japanese food, good variety of sushi and very good Udon soups. It's our go to in NOTL.
The quality of the fish is outstanding
Food quality, cleanliness, customer service and atmosphere were all top notch. One of Niagara’s hidden dining gems.
What a great discovery that we haven’t stumbled upon before now, will definitely return,
Good was great and questions we’re well explained by our server Yoshi. Sushi was fantastic as was the tempura shrimp/veg. I will be returning when in town.
Wait staff was great answered all our questions and were very polite.
Food is awesome!
Always the best food and service. From the servers go the chefs. They are there to please you for a feast of authentic Japanese food through your eyes to the palate. Always a pleasant and fulfilling visit.
Always a perfect night out at Masaki!
Service was too slow takes more than hour to serve regular set sushi , I guess only one sushi chef that night but weekend !
Overall good place to go if you know price and slow service,I thought price was high even green tea and miso soup was charged.
Minimum $50 per parsons including every thing .
Excellent fresh food! Sushi was delicious! Highly recommended!
Best sushi I have ever had! Wonderful place! Great service! Highly recommend!!!
Another great meal at Masaki! Consistently great sashimi and wonderful people.
The food was to die for. We will definitely be back again!
Best place in Niagara-on-the-Lake for sushi
Great dining experience. The sushi was perfect temperature and tasted great.
Always love to eat the Sushi at Masaki. The Nigri was tender and the Sushi were was great. Loved the rolls and the Tornadoes to die for!
Delicious Japanese food in tiny Niagara-on-the-Lake! Perfect atmosphere and food presentation.
Battered shrimp was amazing. Tempura was good as were the dynamite and spider rolls- I was expecting better based on previous reviews. I have definitely had better quality maki rolls in several sushi restaurants in the GTA. We were there at 8pm for dinner and the restaurant light level was super bright- almost felt uncomfortable. Not the intimate dining experience we were hoping for.
