The meal and the service were great. My complaint was with the desert. The blue corn bread pudding was dry and had hard crust (it was served in multiple small pieces). The dessert just didn't top of the meal like most desserts do.

We went for NYE prix frix menu which was $80/plate. The Filet Mignon was delicious although undercooked. The Branzino was underwhelming, it could have been any cut of fish. The chicken cracklins appetizer were served cold and the salad was a large serving of greens in comparison to the nuts, berries, fruits. Finally, the blue corn bread pudding was very dry. I was served the outer crust of the bread, seemed like "burnt ends". The filet was the saving grace of the meal but overall just a "meh" experience. We have been there in the past for tapas and everything was great. We would return for that but would be hesitant to return for dinner.

Everything was delicious! Bacon wrapped dates and the pork secreto were the overall favorites. Wine list is extensive and the specialty cocktails were well balanced. Big thanks to Chef and the staff for making it a memorable experience.

Did was very convoluted.
Didn't make sense.
The paprika croutons that were on the oyster plate were possibly the worst thing I've ever had in my mouth.

Mas continues to be one our top favorites in ABQ. Chestnut bisque was very good. Pork tenderloin was very good. Squash casserole was good. Of course, the chocolate bread pudding & white chocolate cheesecake very delicious. The service was a bit slow, maybe because of the holiday demand. The 'quiet table' in the corner was hidden and sometime 'lost' with staff. We will definitely return for the tapas menu!

Food was wonderful. The Chestnut Bisque was the best soup that I have ever eaten. Portions were very generous. Expensive but worth it.

We had breakfast here on Christmas morning. The service was mediocre, the food was bland and unimpressive, but we appreciated that it was one of the few places open on Christmas Day. To top off the experience, they ran our credit card, then said the credit card didn’t go through so we paid cash … only to have to call the manager to complain about being charged twice (who assured us the credit charge would drop off our account). So yeah … I wouldn’t go back unless I were staying in the hotel.

Wine list was outdated. Chose several wines before one was available. Server left the opener and trash on our table from our wine bottle the duration of our dinner. Food was served without steak knives and had to ask for them. We were never once asked about our meals or if everything was acceptable. The food was good, but overall, not the best experience, especially with service.

The food was excellent. I’ve enjoyed almost every dish. This is despite the fact that a) food was served out of order and b) cocktails are extremely slow to arrive, even though it was a quiet night. For example, my salad arrived, incomplete without several of the ingredients listed on the menu, after the entrée was served. This was the Ensalada Espana. No jamon, no cheese, no olives. Just lettuce and tomato. When the server plopped this down, after the second request for this salad, and after the entree was served, there was an ersatz apology for the condition of the salad.

The last round of cocktails also sat on the bar for what seemed like an eternity, because she was too busy arranging placemats on all of the empty tables. She then proceeded to state that it was the bartenders fault the drinks were late. From where I was sitting I had a direct view of the bar, and the cocktails sitting on the bar. The server was just trying to pass the buck onto someone else for her oversight.

Two issues though…..

Who ever heard of a tapas restaurant closing so early?

The staff could use some additional training in people skills. Stiff. Unfriendly. Seem uncaring. At the end of the night, they are more fixated on prepping the table settings for the next day, then they are taking care of the people that are present.

The restaurant is nice. The food is great. It’s the people skills are lacking. An overall lack of attentiveness and a lack of concern.

We went for the Paella. They brought a dry terrible tasting rice & sausage dish with 4 big tasty shrimp. Very, very disappointed. The rest of the food was equally terrible tasting. In my opinion, the cook/chef & manager should be fired. We will never return to that restaurant.

Most of the dishes we had were excellent. The paella was not traditional with saffron and the peen wasn't worth $30. The dates, pig, bruscetta, Brussel spurious and Mac&cheese were outstanding. Averaged $60 per person

We celebrated Thanksgiving a few years ago and it was really great. This thanksgiving, there was no soup starter (they were out), and nothing substituted. The prefix bill was also not adjusted for one less course. Overall, the food was fine, just not nearly as nice as past experiences.

My wife and I reserved one of the private alcoves in the hotel lobby and enjoyed one of the most elegant and tastiest dinners we have had in years. The castiron mushrooms, lamb t-bones, and sea bass were perfectly prepared and delicious.

Wonderful choice of tapas. The bacon wrapped dates are amazing! If you don't want tapas, the regular menu is also very good. My companion ordered paella which he said was as good as "the real thing" he used to get in Panama. We will definitely return. A great place for a special celebration.

Since the first time at Mas Tapas, I have loved the Spanish style bruschetta. We even found that was not shareable as we each wanted the full one. After bragging about how wonderful the food is, I am extremely disappointing to say that the bruschetta was hard as a rock, you couldn't cut it, The bread was like a brick, but worse than that was the absence of the melt in your mouth dish. Since the over easy egg was also a rock, Chef Mark did cook a new one, and I wish someone would have come back to tell them what is on their menu and on the plate have no resemblance to the Superb original presentation. Big misstep here
