Not sure I'd recommend it because the food portions are small (I get tapas, but not everything on the menu is tapas, but portions are still petite). We both got the Cubanito sandwich and the pork was way overcooked; crunchy would be the best descriptor. Salad that came with it was good, but it'd be nice to have a better main course. Service was quite good, but the place was almost empty, with room for about 150 and only three tables had occupants (for a total of 6)--all the more reason the food shouldn't have been overcooked. Bottom line: Pricey for what you get. Oh--disabled access was extremely difficult and the entrance was FAR from the only entry door that was unlocked. Twice I tried to push my guest's wheelchair through the door while staff stood and watched! There were no handicapped buttons to push to get the doors to open, and I had to hold it that way with my backside in order for it not to slam behind us.
Tuna small dish was exceptional. The black pig small dish was very good. As was the coconut key lime pudding concoction.
Wonderful dining experience. Would recommend for a special occasion or date night.
Lovely place for a relaxing dinner daye!!
Wished we had just split a salad to leave room for more of the delicious tapas that came later!
The food, service & ambiance were outstanding. My wife & I shared some appetizers that were memorable: The Iberico pork & foie gras were fabulous.
Had recently ate tapas at a restaurant up in SF. Which were excellent. Thought that I’d try this restaurant to see how it compared.
I was not thrilled with the tapas. The award winning oysters were like chicken nuggets and the sauce was so spicy hot it was unpleasant. The ribs were the best thing we had. Brussels were tasteless and the pork belly didn’t have the Asian influence the menu touted. My glass of wine was $18 which is too high.
Service was great. Our server was well versed on the menu.
The Tapas were all excellent; from the Brussels to the lamb. The desserts did not live up to the expectations.
I love the atmosphere at Mas. It’s upscale and inviting! The food was phenomenal and every tapas was exciting to eat. They are doing a wonderful job using locally sourced ingredients as well. It was fresh, tasty, and I left happy and satisfied. Can’t wait to be back again!
Great food and excellent service.. Never disappointed with the menu and preparation..
The menu and wine selections are good, the food is excellent and the wait staff is good without being too attentive
Outstanding - great value as well!
Ordered four tapas plates to share with my wife. The best by far was the bacon wrapped dates dipped in goat cheese. The foie gras on pineapple with tiny toast circles was only okay. The oyster king mushrooms were unremarkable, and the salt and pepper octopus was covered in a sauce (hello salt and pepper?) and was barely warm. It seemed like it had been sitting under a warmer for an indeterminate amount of time. We considered ordering dessert but the ladies at the table behind us complained about their’s to the waiter, so we passed. We wanted to like this place but the food left the whole experience rather disappointing.
The food and service was great! The deserts I could have passed on but other than that it was amazing.
Excellent tapas selection. Fine wine list. Moderate prices. Wonderful hotel environment. Highly recommend.
This was the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time.
Awesome family reunion!!!
Great food. They were slammed so service atypically slow.
Ambience and great staff...not to mention the tapas! Portions were generous! Staff very attentive. Everything so yummy!
Service was extremely slow and when food arrived it was cold and had to be sent back. Ordered 2nd drinks from server who neglected to place the order. Manager blamed being slammed for Balloon festival but when we pointed out all the empty tables he then blamed it on not bringing enough staff in since bookings weren’t great.
Great experience. Will come back!
Nicole was an amazing host and the food + wine is always great. We will be back, again!
A perfect recipe for a wonderful experience: exceptional service, comfortable ambience, and remarkably inventive, immensely satisfying, and extraordinarily delicious food. We enjoyed five tapas and shared a dessert. We couldn't pick a favorite because each was equally luscious. Our waitperson hit the sweet spot between attentive and mindfully unobtrusive.
We'll be back again and again.
Our server was very attentive. She took the time to get to know a little about us.
The best....for any special event. The artistry of their tapas selection is amazing. Venue is set in historic hotel. Stay for nightly weekend music.
Great food. Price is pretty reasonable. Very nice ambiance.
We were very surprised by this gem in Albuquerque - we loved the small plate options and enjoyed tasting different flavors from the menu. We ordered several to share, and two desserts. The wine menu is also very impressive, as was the knowledge of our waiter. Would definitely recommend the bacon-wrapped dates and the fennel sausage, and do not leave without trying the carrot cake (no raisins, it's made with fig!)
First time here, came down from Santa Fe for an event downtown, I'd drive down just to eat here; outstanding! My wife and I decided to try a number of Tapas to get an idea of what they offer but the 'full' menu has items that I'm also hot to try; overall an outstanding menu service and dining experience.
We've eaten at MasYTapas several times. We ordered a charcuterie plate(mixed cheeses and meat, prosciutto, olives, nuts.I would say on precious dinner here the platter had different olives, this one seemed like the green olives in a can.Cheeses and meats were good. Also had tapas, bacon wrapped dates, yummy, like candy. The big disappointment here was dessert, really awful deconstructed key lime pie, that was just a meringue with some lavender pieces.$10 for nada.In this restaurant I would expect great dessert. We had dessert on the way home
High quality unusual food. Bacon wrapped dates were my favorite!
There was good and there was so-so. The bacon-wrapped dates were delicious! Other food items were underseasoned. Sangria was excellent. Service was ok, not great.
This resturant has gone from a favorite to mediocre and back. I was hopeful with the new chef that it was back to its former glory day. Went Sat evening with a friend. Morgan our server was very helpful and made good suggestions. The bacon wrapped dates and peppersteak were both wonderful. the foie gras was mediocre and the bread/olive oil were not that good. we were given a free dessert since the dishes came out over a very long period (2 hours). Needs to be more consistent with the tapas quality. still willing to give it another try but that may be the last.
Outstanding service, hostess and bartender drinks.
There were four of us,and we all shared a variety of very nice tapas.
It was pricy, but it was a great venue for visiting with long friends whom we hadn't seen for a long time.
Lots of menu options, enjoyed the tapas and the beverages. The wait staff was a bit harried but the food was good overall. The greeter was very pleasant and helpful. The charcuterie board was disappointing but the Gambas were delicious. Patatas Bravas were ok but not what we’d expected. Have had much better versions elsewhere. The main thing was we were with friends and had a pleasant evening.
I enjoyed the spaciousness of the dinning room and the open kitchen. Sitting in a booth is always a charm. Our server, Sarah server was very knowledgeable on the preparation of the meals and wine selections. She was also very joyful which is a nice plus. The tapas incorporTe the southwest cuisine on some of the selections for example the shrimp and chorizo in a bed of red chili is delightful. The homemade pita and eggplant as one of three dips is not to be missed. The scallops may be the most tender and perfectly grilled paired with an Israel couscous. The servings are fairly portioned so that there is room for dessert and the chocolate cake is moist and milk chocolate sauce is quite good. Highly recommend!
First trip to the restaurant. Now will be our #1 in Albuquerque. All of the staff from start to finish was most excellent. Rudy our waiter was exceptional and has a great knowledge of the food and wine to go with. Do not pass this fantastic restaurant up!
The food was delicious. Appreciate they serve small dishes tapas, as well as regular entrees. The service provided by Meghan was outstanding. She answered questions, provided suggestions, and was readily available but not intrusive. Overall a wonderful restaurant.
Absolutely wonderful atmosphere, food, service and value.....!!!....Would recommend to all my "foodie" friends.....Great restaurant in a fabulous Hotel....
Overall a very good experience. I was disappointed with the Classic Paella as it was more of a tomato tasting base than a saffron flavor. I was told the chef added cayenne, which didn't make sense to me since classic paella doesn't use cayenne and it was hard getting used to the different flavor. Also got a clam that wasn't open and shouldn't have made onto my plate. But, the wine, tapas and the other dishes that were served were very good. I would go again and just have the tapas next time.
Absolutely outstanding dinner! Christopher Rambicure gave top notch service. Arcy is great as usual behind the bar. Loved it all, thank you!
