We've been to Mas (farmhouse) several times, had lamented what had seemed like a permanent closing, and rejoiced when it re-opened. The food is spectacularly, but elegantly, wonderful, always a beautiful blend of flavors, colors and textures, served with impeccable timing. Wines are excellent, and wine pairings suggested by the sommelier always interesting. In addition, it's very reasonably priced, given the very high quality of the dining experience. My favorite restaurant in New York, one of my favorites of all time

We found the whole experience intelligently and sensitively executed. I will come back at the next opportunity! The food is sophisticated and the service is the smartest in the city. Not overbearing, always anticipating what you might ask for, while remaining authentic/casual- the staff is not stiff and contrived but truly genuine. It made for a very relaxed atmosphere and through the whole night we felt we were being watched over , cared for. Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect dining experience. The food is delicious without being overdone in terms of trying to find something too creative or too sophisticated. The food was incredibly flavorful and service was attentive. It's pricey, but worth it. The only part I would have skipped was the bottle of wine since they don't have many mid-tier options and the bottle was not exactly what I had wanted.

Sad to say the food was so salty! My partner sent his food back and I kept mine but both were overly salty.
Such a nice place it's a shame the food doesn't match the ambience. The yellow tail appetizer however was insanely delicious

Was so looking forward to this neighborhood gem re- opening. We live down the street and I wanted this to be more of a go to spot for us.
Second time there and sadly won't go back .

An otherwise nice meal was well spoiled by a VERY loud party which did not refrain from profanity. When other guests complained they were called fascists and received no support from the restaurant staff.

Half empty on Sunday night. A party of 8 at the prominent family table. Loud. Really loud.
As if they were in their own home. No regard for the other two tables. And not one word was
said to them about ruining the meals of others. So we had to confront them in a mild manner.
Sure, 8 raucous people will bring in more money than 3 quiet people that night, but in the long run...

Hands down one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. It was our anniversary and we were greeted with a congratulations. Dinner was divine. I did the four course tasting menu and he did a la carte. It was plenty of food and great wine suggestions from our waitress. Highly recommend the tasting menu as well as saving room for dessert. Bravo! We will be back.

I was rather disappointed with the menu and the food. Not as much selection as I would have expected, but more importantly this was certainly not the kind of quality you would expect from a high end restaurant like this. A particular chicken dish was ridiculously salty and my friend and I could barely eat it.

We attended for Thanksgiving dinner. The staff and bartender very friendly and attentive. The food selection for the 4 course meal was classic yet I unique as well. The taste and preparatory perfection will demand a return to this restaurant.

This was our third visit to Mas and it was, perhaps, even better than our previously wonderful dinners there. We had the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairings. The cooking is inventive and refined. And the Somelier was extraordinary--gave us a little wine education with each course. Excellent service all around.

Outstanding creative food, impeccable service in a NYC classic. A must for all foodies. We did the chef’s tasting menu with wine by the class recommended by one of the most knowledgeable sommeliers we have ever met. Pricey but worth every dollar.

Excellent food, and overall quite good. The only thing off-putting was the casual dress of our waiter -- jeans and a flannel shirt; it just seemed a little too casual for such a fine restaurant (with fine restaurant pricing).

And the apple a day cocktail was very fall with its apple cider and gin. I️ would definitely get recommend it.

The food was fine but the place was a sauna. The hostess said it had something to do with the vestibule being put in and there being hot spots and cold spots in the restaurant but it was very unpleasant.

This is a very unusual and special place. The food was creative and so was the way it is run. The testing menu allowed you to substitute anything (I believe) on the menu. The waitress was knowledgeable and thoughtful. The Sommelier pointed us to just what we were looking for at the right price. This is not the usual New York dinning out. They have something going here.

I’ve dined at Mas (Farmhouse) over the years and mourned their closing due to a fire (because Mas represents some of the most consistently fabulous food in New York City), but I’m so very happy it REOPENED during the summer of 2017 in the same charming space looking as perfect as before.

But what about the food? Extraordinary. Simply extraordinary. If you can, have the six-course tasting menu. Forget the menu you see online because a lot depends on what the chef works with today. Fresh ingredients are combined - not as an experiment - but as a master creation, course after course. Those of us who return, don’t do so for the same signature dish. We come back to be amazed.

Service: charming. Attentive. Casually elegant.
Drinks: great wine suggestions and they make the best Negroni I’ve ever had (which one would think would be an easy cocktail for most to make).

Go. Now.

My husband and I had one of our first dates here, and we've always wanted to come back. We noticed they had reopened and were excited to return for our anniversary. The food was as good a we remembered it pre-fire, if not somewhat less ambitious. The dessert is nothing to write home about, but the service, wine pairings, and ambiance are really some of the best in all of NYC. Mas is fantastic and I'm very glad to see it has endured.

A gem in a neighborhood just off 6th Avenue. The food is awesome, service exceptional and not in your face but the best part was meeting Angela. A true treasure of MAS Farmhouse.

We've been living in NYC for over twenty-five years and we eat out a lot, mostly due to business. But MAS Farmhouse has to be one of the best restaurants in Manhattan. Full stop.

Mas is a wonderful dining experience! Fabulous food and flavors that surprise and delight! Tuna l'occidental appetizer is one of my favorite appetizers any where - if you like tuna, you must order it. On this visit, we also ordered golden baby beet terrine with goat cheese which I loved (I'm a huge fan of beets)! For entrees, we ordered striped bass with leek fondue (flaky, melt in your mouth) and roasted duck breast with sunchokes, lentils and macerated cranberries(suggested medium rare which was perfectly prepared). It was my husband's birthday, and we ordered two desserts (upside down cake with berry compote and white chocolate peanut butter cheesecake with grape sorbet). And, we ordered a scoop of homemade ice cream. Desserts and ice cream were worth every calorie (and I'm supposed to be dieting)! Go to Mas - you will be thankful you did!

Very friendly staff plus over the top great service. Food was excellent, wine list really solid with some interesting bottles. 4 course tasting menu for just over $100 is a really great price for the quality of food. We were a party of 6 and got the "farmhouse" table which made it even more fun.

I came with my wife for our anniversary. The food was delicious and it the dining experience felt like a show. There was an issue with one of my plates. The restaurant went above and beyond in resolving the problem. To be honest, it wouldn't have ruined our night anyway but they way they handled it was outstanding.
