We went for my boyfriend’s birthday - I was hoping for a celebration of some sort since I marked it on my reservation, but we never received one. This was our second time eating at Martorano’s Prime and felt that this time our steaks were a little over done. They were still delicious, but just were charred for being medium. My boyfriend got the special, the 32 ounce Porterhouse, and it was good! I got a repeat of the 8 ounce filet with shrimp and it was tasty, just the shrimp was a little cold. If we didn’t have superb tastings the first time I probably wouldn’t mention these items, but overall our service was excellent.
Wonderful service and delicious food - we will be returning!
Our crew went there for dinner ahead of going to the Steeler game. The first thing that you notice is the friendly and inviting atmosphere. The menu was very nice…a nice mix of great and tempting entrees, some more pricey but other more budget friendly. We were able to share some of the sides which was great. You could certainly have a fantastic meal to match your budget. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic. Each entree was prepared to perfection and tasted so delicious. The best thing, however, was the service!! Our server Shawn was incredibly attentive, very engaging, and just plain funny which made the whole meal so enjoyable. I recommend this fine restaurant wholeheartedly. We will definitely be back. Go Steelers!
Although the overall experience was pleasant (ambiance and service were on point) we were underwhelmed with the pasta entrees- which were bland and ordinary, and certainly not what one would expect from an upscale and quite expensive fine dining restaurant.
Food and service was good but not as good as I would expect for the price of the food. They need to lower the prices to match the quality of food and service you get.
It was good, but way overpriced. The famous South Philly Sunday gravy was really good as was the calamari appetizer. Chicken parm was a little tough though. Very loud which was fine, the music was awesome but interesting choice to show R-rated movies while fine dining, just a little unexpected to see full on boobage in that setting. The service was excellent.
Got seated right away.. ambience very nice. Food servers did a great job from the start. Celebrated my birthday with a song , fireworks and cheesecake. Would definitely recommend this place
Great way to spend our anniversary. Meal and service were wonderful.
Romantic, but fun. Can't wait to go back for another wonderful evening out.
best meal i've had in decades! a bit pricey but worth hit every once in a while or a special occasion. the veal chop and risotto were amazing.
We ate outside for our anniversary so it could be more quiet. Everything was exceptional. The staff were polite and very knowledgeable. They gave us their suggestions and it did not disappoint. Hats off to the chefs because the food was just superb!
Food was not really that great. My third experience. Waiter we had last evening was a bit uptight and stuck up.
Was the best dinner my husband and I have had!! We will definitely go again and highly recommend!!
Our servers Joseph & Gregory were amazing! Could not have been more helpful & professional. Everything from the drinks to the appetizers, main course & dessert was awesome. Have been wanting to eat there since it opened & very glad we did!
Wonderful experience, food and service. A must try
Ordered the veal medium. Raw in the middle. Average taste. Potatoes were drowning in butter gross. Broccoli rabe had bad taste. Very disappointed especially for the price
Way overpriced… staff thought that by reading the ‘rules’ to us was a good thing - they seemed to forget that the customer is always right!
This was our second time dining here. The appetizer was very good. The chicken Parmigiana was very bland. Very disappointed. I order filet medium and half was cooked well, but tasted fine and the other half, oddly enough, was very dry. I expected much better because this is a high end restaurant. It was very overpriced as well. Go to Morton’s. Better food and better service and you feel you will get your money’s worth.
WE had a wonderful evening. The food and service were exceptional.
The staff members were wonderful! The food was very good but over priced in my opinion. We went for dinner. We were seated at a table that was right in front of the kitchen area. There was a glass window where one could view the kitchen area … and, although some might find that interesting, we found that the light was very bright from the kitchen shining on our table. It really took away from the atmosphere and trying to be able to see the river and other things outside in the evening. Very distracting. The music was very loud in the restaurant. It was difficult to carry on a conversation. It was disappointing. The restaurant might want to consider putting some type of tinting on the glass to the kitchen so it’s not so bright on those seated by the area.
3 servers for a party of 4 ?? Couldnt even talk or look at menu as a different server approaching our group every minute and all asking same hing previous server asked. Then when food was ready, one meal was brought out at a time and maybe 1 minute or two in between ??? 3 servers and one person got their meal, then a minute or two later another person got their meal and so forth. Keep in mind just party of 4. Lastly when ordering a $70 steak (just the steak was $70) you would think you can order it cooked how you would like??? LOL nope, wanted it well done, or at least no red and the waiter refused and said they only do med well and there will be red. After another request waiter said they wont do it. LOL ok.. Food was just ok.Wont be back.
Overall terrible experience we did have great server but food was terrible and selections where even worse
So loud you could not hear yourself think. Horrible accoustics. Food very pricing but the filet was excellent. I was disappointment.
Food was good, but for the price, not extrordinary. Be prepared to drop $500 for 2 bottles of wine and dinner for 4. Never been to a restaurant where I have to place my entire order at one time…very restrictive. Everything was prepared with a spicoholic in mind. Waiter wouldn’t entertain my request to have the sea bass prepared without the hot chili sauce…no adjustments/substitutions. He came off as pretentious and inflexible. I ordered a filet instead, which was not served on a bed of anything. The music was so loud that we literally had to yell across the table to be heard. We felt very rushed…waiter or bus person would take your plate without even asking if you were finished. Didn’t think our table of 4 required a multi-person wait staff. Don’t get me wrong…I love the movie “Goodfellas”…but didn’t need the blood & gore on the TV above my head as I was eating my steak. On a positive note…the warm bread was delish. Sorry, don’t think we’ll go back though.
Our waiters were wonderful and helpful. Been trying everything on the menu. Just upset you had no longer prosciutto and melon.and no longer yo cuz on the menu..they were so good. Please bring it back. I know we will be back.. Great restaurant.
Amazing food with amazing service!!
Food, service was one of the best restaurant experiences we have had
It’s a little pricey and at night it’s loud
Food was excellent, service was helpful and friendly, but could do without the team of servers. Noise level was bothersome, since we were entertaining an 85-year old with limited hearing.
Food took 45 minutes, had to track down wait staff on multiple occasions, was never asked if we wanted dessert. 23rd anniversary dinner…would not come back again nor recommend to anyone.
The food and service were very good but quite expensive.
Was also surprised by the “no substitutions or alterations rule.” Kind of off-putting when that’s one of the first thing the waiter tells you. Doesn’t seem very customer focused in that sense.
Everything was perfect food and service but a little too loud
I know they tell you pasta is cooked al dente but to me it wasn’t there yet, it was very hard. Music way too loud, couldn’t talk to each other. Way too expensive for what you get.
the atmostphere was excellent rom the time we walked in until the time we left the meal was very tasteful my wife enjoy the steak dinner
Fantastic service & food! Our wait staff, Gustavo & Ty, were very attentive. Highly recommend! A little loud but it’s a casino environment so just how it is. Food & drink options worth every penny.
Way too expensive compared to other high-end steakhouses. Very limited, restrictive menu. Pretty good service overall, but they didn’t acknowledge the fact that we were celebrating an anniversary. Also, didn’t mention changes to entree items or update menus (ie Filet Sinatra). Cool ambiance & vibe. Central bar is nice.
We came for dinner to celebrate my Wife's birthday and it didn't disappoint one bit. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Gus and Nico made the night a memorable one for my wife and I.
We had Whitney and she was fun, efficient and pleasant. Food was fast, delicious and satisfying.
It’s become a regular nice night out for us, but we can’t get there enough.
Add it to your rotation for sure!
Great job folks!!
We arrive on time they seated us at our table served us water and our drinks and explain everything to us about the menu when we ordered explain that Jake could cut o u r steak In half so to could enjoy it so that worked out very well the servers were excellent we will definitely go back great hospitality loved the atmosphere
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. It was my 34 anniversary and it really make it special. I would do it again. But be aware its expensive so be ready. My servers were great and service was as well. The music was perferct. Glad we have this restuarant in pittsburgh.
First time there , we will be back for sure.
The Best service that I have ever had at a restaurant.
The food was phenomenal 😁
