Excellent Food and Service. Bar area was very nice and relaxing.
Martinos offered a wide variety of choices of food and had many special offers. We had appetizers, salad , main dish and dessert and it was all very good, ample servings and nice presentation. We will definitely be back!
Great dinner and service. Sea bass and filet outstanding
Keep it up
It was our first time visiting, and we were quite excited. We were sat right away, our server Liz was as sweet as could be and was very helpful with recommendations. We ordered our entrees within 15 minutes of being sat. Our appetizers came out within 10-15 minutes and Liz was very attentive. But then we waited for our food .... and waited .... and waited. Our server told us the kitchen was behind. But one table over, a party of 4 was sat; ordered their drinks/food, ate, and paid before we ever got our meals. We waited one hour and fifteen minutes before we got our dinner. At that point we were ready to get the check and go home. Liz was very kind and attentive the whole time, but not every table was filled so we didn’t understand why our order took significantly longer than it should have. It was just two of us. We will probably visit again to give it a second chance, but maybe just for drinks. Adorable restaurant with a great menu and sweet staff! Very excited to have some finer dining in Munds Park 🙂
Everything was wonderful! We have been to Martinos a few times. Liz is a wonderful waitress!!
Had a great evening with friends and good food. I would give it a try.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoy eating at Martino's. The daily specials are delicious and the menu has a good selection to choose from. Prices are affordable. Thank you for opening this restaurant in Munds Park.
Mostly good. Sat outside and table was small for 4 dining but not a big deal. Overall, very happy to have another dining option.
Table outside was beautiful. Dinner was perfect. Service outstanding! Will definitely be going back.
The atmosphere was nice, dining outdoors in the trees, very peaceful. We started with the calamari appetizer, the sauce that it was served with was very good, however the calamari was overcooked. My husband had the Chicken Marsala which he enjoyed and said was good. I thought it was odd that an Italian restaurant would offer mashed potatoes or rice as a side dish not pasta, but that’s just my opinion. The portion size was good and he took almost half of it home. I ordered the spaghetti and meat balls and Italian sausage, the meatball (yes one) was overcooked, dry and burnt spots. The Italian sausage seemed to be store bought, nothing special. The tomato sauce was good, but the pasta was not homemade, just dry boxed pasta. Overall I think the potential is there to have a nice restaurant, but the cook need to pay attention to the food so it doesn’t get overcooked. Once you get a bite of charcoal the meal is over. I think for what they serve it’s overpriced.
We arrived shortly before our reservation time and were seated right away. The staff is very pleasant and attentive but not too attentive. The table was beautifully set. We ordered drinks and an appetizer to start, both were very good. Our entrees were delicious. We sat inside so had a more formal experience which suited us nicely since we were celebrating our anniversary. Overall it was a great evening.
We started out with Jeff picking us up. So nice to be able to go out, have a glass of wine and let someone else drive. Dinner was delicious and the wait staff did an excellent job. There was a good choice of food and beverage. We will be back again.
We were first timers. The parking is very limited and drivers must back out through the lot to exit. Diners should expect an hour wait from the time you order to your dinner being served. This was only discovered after we inquired on our order.
Our server was attentive and pleasant. The entrees were delicious. We will visit this establishment again to try some of the other offerings.
Wonderful ambience. Mediocre food which was over priced. Breadsticks looked and tasted like they were purchased at Costco. $14 shrimp salad (listed in the entree section) was the size of a side salad not an entree and only included 4 small shrimp. Lobster cheese ravioli was served with marinara sauce which I didn’t expect or care for (my fault for not asking but since sea food is typically served with a cream sauce I didn’t think to ask). Waitress was great but food took 45 min to come out. Really wanted to like this place as we come to munds park frequently and the ambience was great, but unfortunately the food was not on par so I don’t think we’ll be back.
Birthday dinner and enjoyed every moment and bite
Great patio, service and overall experience. Food was above average
Ordered the shrimp scampi and there was way too much garlic for my taste and very huge pieces (one was half a clove!).
Our waiter Jason was excellent and it was fun talking to Leo(nardo) about Munds Park history!
We were not asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating, we were just directed outside. It was fine but the table was askew and I almost lost my drink.
I would try it again, but I wouldn’t order the scampi again because of the garlic factor.
My husband ordered the linguini and clams and he had the same complaint about the garlic chunks.
The ambience was great and so was the service. Two of us had spaghetti that was ok, my husband had the pork Albert that was recommended to him and he was disappointed that the pork wasn't real tender. The other woman had the chicken marsalla and that was excellent. The bread sticks would be wonderful if they were warm with butter on them like Olive Garden
Martino’s is exactly what Munds Park needed. Great food, good service and a wonderful outdoor patio to enjoy dinner in the pines.
It was nice to see another restaurant choice in this local vacation spot. I had the Chicken Marsala. The serving size was good with the exception of the vegetables which could have been a bit more. The sauce was somewhat strong but still tasty. My partner had the Shrimp Scampi Linguini. The shrimp was not sautéed and seemed overcooked. The sauce was full of flavor. Lastly, we shared a generous piece of cheesecake with an assortment of berries. It was beautifully plated.
Excellent service & ambience! Food was mediocre. I had chicken Marsala, which was dry. Companion had shrimp scampi which was overpowered with garlic. Couldn’t wait to try this restaurant but was disappointed in food. I’ll give it a second chance since Munds Park needs a restaurant like this
Here's our experience:
We originally booked a table for 2, they sat us at a table for 4 so we called our friends to join us and they had no problem with that. We sat right next to the band stage, so the music was a little loud at times and they offered to move us but we declined. The staff was very accommodating and graceful. It was still a very delightful ambiance.
We waited for 10 minutes after being seated before water was brought. A little excessive but it didn't spoil the evening. My wife ordered the clams and Linguine and it was very flavorful without being over bearing. Very nice. I order the ravioli of the day (lobster) and it was good. The red sauce was just Ok, made me think it was not homemade although it may have been. The bread sticks served were stale though.
We ordered wine, her Pinot Grigio and me Pinot Noir, and both of us enjoyed our drinks. For desert we had cannolis and Tiramisu. Both were good although the tiramisu was a little dry. We waited 10 minutes after ordering dessert before it was brought.
Overall it was a good experience and we plan to return.
Dinner was delicious. We started with the chefs meatballs (yum) and toasted ravioli. The rib eye was cooked beautifully as were the fresh vegetables. . The pork chops With lingonberry sauce was also tasty. Listening to Tommy The entertainer added the perfect touch to the ambiance.
We sat outside surrounded by trees. Our server was perfect, and food and drink delivery was spot on.
Will definitely visit again.
I dined inside at 5:30pm with my mom, brother, and teenage son. Very good pours on the cocktails although my manhattan lacked red vermouth and the requisite cherry (it appeared to be just whiskey on the rocks, so I sent it back and it returned with just a little more color). The fried calamari was excellent - light, crispy, and not chewy. Some in our party claim it was the best they've had. The meatball/sausage spaghetti, shrimp scampi linguini, and clams linguini were good but somewhat bland in the flavor department. One of us would like some creamy sauce pasta options. Veal marsala was tender and flavorful. Mixed review on the bread - it was warm and two of us thought it was tasty and fresh while one of us thought it was a Costco item. Our bottle of chianti was good and not overly expensive. Lovers of dessert, we ordered all three (tiramisu, canoli, chocolate cake) plus the special lemon cake. All were good, but my favorite was the chocolate cake and that's not usually my pick and another thought the lemon cake was excellent. I ordered a coffee but it never came. Surprised there were no expresso drinks - it's an Italian restaurant. Service was attentive but was slow at the end, but I have to give our server Kelly a 5 (out of 5) for her spirit and friendliness. Enjoyed the rat pack atmosphere and music and the general interior decor and place setting. We sat in the back corner window table and the white slat blinds need to be replaced with something more interesting. Also, I know we're in the pines but it still heats up in the summer, so get central air. The mobile AC unit near us was a little noisy and disturbing. All in all, Martino's has great potential and I'd like to support it so I give it a 4 out of 5.
Excellent. Just what Munds Park needed. Great food and great ambiance.
We sat outside with live music and had WAY too much fun! It was a great time and everyone enjoyed the food and entertainment.
Our second time at Martino’s. We were there the first week it opened and thought it was good, but could get better. It has. We will be regular customers, probably every week. The shuttle service is outstanding. Munds Park has just about everything you could ask for except a good restaurant. Now it has that. Thanks Martino’s!
This was our second time in and it did not disappoint. Food was great and even being inside was fun although it’s nice to out outside this time of year.
Had the veal Marsala and really enjoyed it.
Excellent food and outdoor seating. Leonardo was so great! What an interesting guy. Would go back just to listen to him again. Great place.
Outdoor dining is especially nice on the Copacabana Patio
Liked sitting outside.
Need to check glasses. We had two water glasses with lip stick from previous guests. Server brought new water glasses. Appetizers we good especially the spinach salad and squid.
Food very good
Parking lot bad
Absolutely loved this restaurant! There were eight of us celebrating two birthdays. We were seated in a very private outside area that looked over the restaurant. We loved the privacy and all the plants and trees. The server was wonderful and food was amazing. There was nothing left on any plate. Not a single complaint! We will be back.
Hoping they improve the service, they rely on one waitstaff to do everything and they have to cover multiple tables. Need to have water/bread servers and runners for the drinks. I had a glass of wine and my wife had a cocktail. We had wanted a second round to try something different but by the time we were asked we were done eating so skipped it.
We had crab cakes, brucetta, and lobster ravioli. Crab cakes were over done and didn’t have much lobster in the ravioli, I could have made noodles at home with marinara and had the same experience.
Hoping they can get it together as I’d like to have good Italian in Munds Park. It is a cute location, good ambiance, and lots of potential. I’m sure these are just growing pains and they will figure it out.
The night was very nice. The team at Martino’s did a great job. Food was really good and Kelly was amazing. Recommend it if you want a nice dinner in Munds without going to Flagstaff. We will be back.
Great addition to Munds Park. Nice ambience. Wish menu included more choices. Perhaps that will come in time. Suggestions would be, Wedge salad, lasagna, fettucini.
Perhaps a few more appetizers as well. Definitely we will be back.
This is the best restaurant in Munds Park, hands down. The first high end restaurant and very good.
Nice atmosphere in the patio (ate outdoors). Very good and attentive service. Food was excellent. It was a very nice experience and a great addition to have a quality restaurant in Munds Park area.
Great food and service
