Great food & service. Lovely river view
Service and atmosphere were the standouts from this visit. The meats were a bit overdone and flavors a bit mild. Would expect a bit better at these prices.
I am a french fry fanatic and theirs were really great! We placed a second order as soon as the first arrived. My daughter also really liked the Mac n cheese. Beautiful setting on the deck along the river. Casual friendly service. We enjoyed the cucumber gimlet and skyline cocktails.
Slow service, terrible food, but nice swtting
Food was excellent, atmosphere was relaxing especially with the live acoustic guitar player. The service was mediocre. Finished our meal and wanted a couple drinks to end the night. However, I ended up having to going inside to request a check after not seeing our waiter for 20 minutes.
Wonderful service and delicious food!
Lovely view on the back deck.
We were the only ones outside that evening... it was very relaxing.
We enjoyed ourselves and will return again.
Food was amazing. The drinks were really amazing. And our waiter Erin was beyond the best. Was just an amazing dinner. Thank you! 🎃
Food was fabulous!
Had a scrumptious lunch. Definitely best food in town. The deviled eggs are a must! the truffle oil makes them a hit! oh my word, the butternut squash soup... just like grandmas! We also had the crab cake sandwich, which was very meaty and tasty. This is a "must try" spot <3
Good food friendly service. Eating out in the age of COVID. Though is strange with so few people
Food and ambiance were awesome as usual. Loved dining out on the back deck!
We are outside which got a little chilly when there was wind. They did have sufficient heaters which was great. The food was really yummy, although I think my steak should have included some sort of vegetable for the cost of the entree.
Nice location right on the Delaware. Not too crowded. Staff was great. Friendly and very attentive. Food was very solid. Pace was a little slow, but thats not something that bothers us. Good overall experience.
Anniversary. When we stopped by, they did not have reservation. My husband did say the wrong time but they were so rude and could t find our name. I went back and clarified. The manager was extremely rude to me. She informed me that she already told my husband there is no reservations We traveled from Nashville for this weekend. And had invited out of state friends to join us. Someone else do ally found the reservation. If it were not so crowded in town, I would have cancelled right then. When we returned at 5 minutes before 5, the rude manager said that she was finishing her dinner and we would have to wait outside until
She was finished. She did t want to be disturbed. I will never go back! The food was expensive and horrible. Salmon had no taste! Snow peas were I recooked and soggy. No flavor at all! Service was ok. No thanks. Save your money. The river view is not worth it.
Quite lovely. Food was fantastic, staff was attentive and lively.
Excellent service - great menu - beautiful environment! Love Martine's!
Martine's has a lovely outside deck right on the Delaware. We feel very comfortable sitting out there with the current circumstance. The food is amazing, ambiance is lovely and the service is always outstanding. Always a relaxing and very enjoyable evening.
Made a reservation a week in advanced, we were running late parking so we called ahead and they told me it was no issue at all. When we arrived 10 minutes later a man walked up and asked why we were there. When we said we had a reservation he rolled his eyes and walked away from us. Left standing at the front door confused, another woman approached us to inform us that we were too late to sit as the restaurant closed at 4 pm. When I told her I called to confirm she said that wasn’t her and that doesn’t matter and she would not serve us, she stared at us in silence until we walked scratching our heads. Fortunately we found an amazing, friendly place next door and when we walked by at 6 pm this restaurant was still open and full service. Thanks for saving us the trouble but you may want to treat your future customers with more respect!
The prettiest setting on the banks of the Delaware River. We had lunch outdoors on a lovely fall afternoon. The food was delish, I had the crabcake sandwich... Lots af crab on a yummy brioche roll. Service was attentive and pleasant. The tequila and berry specialty cocktail, with the cute name I can't recall, was delicious and refreshing. The natural thin-cut fries are a treat with a mayo-based dipping sauce. A nice spot. Go!
Disappointed at the services. Had to ask for water refills several times - they were not attentive. Expensive for basic food. Only nice things is that it is on the river.
Loved our waitress-beautiful day geeat atmosphere
We had lunch outside & loved the atmosphere, service, & food. Job well done!
Ok we had a 6:00pm res on a Saturday evening. We approached hostess stand outside and another couple was being helped. After helping them, we did not see her for another 10 minutes as she went inside. She comes back, takes our name at this point and she tells us will have a table shortly as they were just disinfecting the table and suggest we sit down and wait. Shortly after she took our information another couple came who also had a 6 o’clock reservation had to wait about 10 minutes before the hostess came out to take their information. At 6:40 the hostess comes out and says there’s a table ready but since both of us had a 6 o’clock reservation who wants the table first. Say what? It’s clearly up to the hostess to determine who is there first and who gets seated. The other couple graciously said we were first so we can be seated. As we sat down drinks and appetizers came out relatively quick and was very good. After 20 minutes we see the other couple coming in and sat next to us. We waited almost 40 minutes for a 6 o’clock reservation and they waited almost an hour. Need to work a little bit on that service. Otherwise food was excellent nice atmosphere and we had a great time.
Food was great. Ambiance was wonderful. Service was just a little slow
Went on a Saturday afternoon, reservations are a good idea. Food and service was awesome.
Beautiful river view, attentive service, and great food.
We were looking for a good meal along the river. The food was great! They were very accommodating .
The service was a little slow but the food was worth waiting for. We seat outside on the deck and the view was beautiful. I hope to get back here again.
Love the ambience, the service, and THE FOOD, wow! Go here by all means.
Our first time back since the social distancing. Prior to that we went once a week. It's still as wonderful as ever. Beautiful views, incredible food and fantastic staff! We love it!
We drove from jersey city, and we’re going to make a day of it in lambertsville, first we arrive at martines, its not much from the outside, but we were willing to give it a try. The soda was awful, it had zero carbonation, and the sangria was clear, not good. Then we ordered the cold, chewy mac n cheese, do not recommend. After the mac i played it safe with a chicken Cesar salad. Even that was not good, chicken had zero seasoning and the homemade dressing was nothing to brag about. Unfortunately Will not be going again
Service was not as we expected. Two items in the menu that we would like to order were not available.
Overall it has a nice ambience and food was good.
Enjoyed sitting by the river. They have good heater outside and the food is amazing!
Food was overpriced for what we received. Drinks were especially expensive ($14 for fruity drinks with 1 oz liquor). Sitting outside by the water was the best part.
Martine’s was a lovely place to have lunch along the water. We spent the day relaxing and exploring New Hope, made reservations for a late lunch. It has excellent food and great cocktails. The service was wonderful. Make reservations, it’s very busy.
Great outdoor dining experience! Loved the live music and the food was delicious. Great cocktail selection.
If you enjoy fresh ingredients, this is not the place for you. It is a nice setting on the river but everything about the food and drink is cheap, with high prices. There are many other better restaurants nearby. The server was ready to take our plates with more than half the food left, not even asking if we didn’t enjoy it or if we wanted it boxed. We didn’t complain since there was nothing he could do; it’s just low quality food. Drinks weren’t any better.
The Scallops and salmon was delicious sat on the river , views were great The service was very good not rushing us.
Around atmosphere was great can’t say enough about the food great experience can’t wait to go back again compliments to the chef , wait staff
oh I forgot to mention dessert chocolate mousse and cheese pie Yum
Although we had a reservation and showed up on time, the hostess said there was no table set for us. As she scrambled it was clear the couple that she helped before us, who did not have a reservation, was given our table. After seating us on the upper level of the back deck we waited 20 minutes for a server to come over. She explained that the table we were at was usually served by the bartender, but she would be our server for the evening. She apologized for the mix up. We ordered drinks and our meal immediately since we had so much time to review the menu. Another couple came in and were seated in back of us on the same level of the deck- it was clear they were regulars since a few members of the staff came over to say hello to them. They received their drinks before we received ours and received their appetizer before us as well. The bartender was serving their table and passed our table multiple times while my husband had an empty beer glass and never stopped to ask if he needed another drink. It’s clear that the staff don’t act like a team. The food for the price point was ok. Ordered the fried green tomato appetizer- which was good but a random mix of 3 fried tomatoes, slices of bacon and a few shrimp. Not stacked so you could taste each bite, but placed on the plate randomly. Lacked creativity. I had the pork which was dry but the sauce and sides were good. My husband had the steak which was well prepared but a really horrible cut of meat - very grizzly. We had gone to Martine’s twice before and had really enjoyed the food and while service was so slow it wasn’t as bad as it was on this visit. I wish I could say it was due to a lack of staff or due to reservations being spread all over the restaurant but there were 4 servers, the bartender and the hostess all working the other tables around us. It was not a good experience, specially for the price point.
