   Outstanding! We had such a nice lunch here overlooking the water. The food was superb. Crème asparagus soup and ricotta toast to start, pastrami and arugula salad after. Everything was perfect and the service was excellent.

   I felt the host was dismissive and rude. I tried calling three times before arrival to tell them that my party was running late but each time, I got a generic message “the number…. Is not available to take calls.” I verified the number through OpenTable and the website, and was indeed calling the right number. When we arrived, I told the host what had happened, and he acted confused, saying he had the phone on him all the time. Then one call did come through and he stayed on it for several minutes before finally seating us. He should have put that call on hold and seated us before taking that call. I can’t figure out how that call got through. He could have handled that better. Everything else was mediocre at best. I didn’t feel the food or experience justified price we paid - including the $30 valet parking. I wouldn’t go back.

   We had a great table overlooking the river so A+ for the view. I ordered the Eggplant Caprese sandwich which was tasty but the fried eggplant had a heavy breading and was sliced so thin it was hard to find the eggplant. My husband ordered the Turkey BLT and was asked if he wanted to “ upgrade” from the side salad to the hand -cut fries for $3 which he did. The fries were very fried and the thinnest French fries we ever saw. Would definitely not consider it an upgrade. I got the included side salad and it was plentiful and very good. Also, would suggest painting the grey metal tables. There was visible rust on all of them and it ruined the look as you enter the patio. We enjoyed eating by the river but would probably try a different restaurant next time

    The service wasn’t great. We had to ask three times for water after our server was sitting at the bar between trying to take care of tables. Our order ticket was misplaced so we waited for over an hour for apps. When the food finally came it was subpar. Nothing special especially for the price.

    Food was quite good, but service was mediocre. Very slow to get drinks, food, had to ask repeatedly to get water refilled as waitress seemed to ignore us. Very nice location on the water. Uncomfortable chairs after a couple of hours; would have been ok if we had been there a shorter time. Given they’re next to a playhouse, would think they’d have better service. Pricy, but I knew that going in. Good experience, but could easily have been better.

    Martine’s has the best views of the river. We tried the sautéed calamari and we were not fans. The texture was odd and it was really spicy. The rib eye steak was overcooked and had very little if any seasoning. No flavor at all.

    Always loved this place, but not a great experience last night. Steak was not properly done, mashed potatoes were cold and a drink was $18! Will be taking a break for a while from one of our favorites.

    The food at Martine's is amazing! We started with a "snack" portion: deviled eggs that were remarkable: perfect! We then had a pork chop entree that was truly stunning: The chop was flavorful, tender and large enough to satisfy pretty much anyone with a robust appetite. The accompaniments were perfect and good compliments to the pork: sweet potatoes, grilled asparagus and a delicious flavored pineapple slice that went extremely well with the chop. We had wonder cocktails from the bar. The service was adequate and we received our food promptly. The atmosphere is very good, with great views of the river. If it had been warmer, we would have eaten on the outside deck, which we have done before when dining at Martine's, and that is a real treat! This is a restaurant not to be missed in New Hope!

    My wife’s meal was the seafood special of the night. And she loved it. There was 4 extra large shrimp . 4 extra large scallops , 6 Mussels ,pasta, with chunks of cheese and a sauce she said was outstanding. It was $38 and worth it. However I ordered the sea scallop Dinner . And what did I get 4 medium sized scallops and 4 asparagus on a bed of Spanish rice . For $35 . I should have complained . But the waitress was very nice. So I bit my tongue and kept quiet . First and last time for me . 🥲

    Sat outside on a lovely sunny day. Had 3 great starters (deviled eggs, pork belly and burrata with strawberries). All excellent. Sangria was a disappointment. Tasted like it was not authentic, but made from a packaged mix. But my friend loved her pear cocktail. Anthony our server was so delightful. Efficient, personable, with a charming sense of humor.

I have dined here many times and ALL of my friends whom I've introduced to this gem of a restaurant have returned with their friends and/or families.     Went here for Sunday Brunch. The seating has fairly nice views of the Delaware River. Restaurant wasn't particularly busy when we got there. Despite that, the service was lacking right from the get go, and it continued to go down hill once business picked up a bit. Food was edible, but certainly not anything to write home about. I won't be going back and my recommendation would be to go elsewhere.

    Everything is always great here! I had the ratatouille, which was amazing, and my boyfriend had the rib eye, which he said was so good. My drink was delicious, "Tubin' down the river", so I had two. Our server was great, really liked him! Of course we will be back! Looking forward to the nicer weather so we can eat outside.

    Our party of four was expecting much more, based on the previous reviews we see here. Unfortunately, our experience was not that great. Drinks were overpriced and weak. Caeser salad was bland. Entrees had nice presentation, were good but not great. Service was mediocre, especially for this type of restaurant. We had to ask for water twice. Empty drinks and a beer bottle sat on the table, even after we got the check.
