The setting and ambiance was nice, and the food was good, but nothing really impressed us. A few options were unique (ehhh...) but nothing special, especially for a brunch menu. For the price we paid, the food was pretty standard and very overpriced. I will say that the service was great. Glad we checked it out but we probably won't return.

Best meal we had in Nashville! We went for brunch. The cauliflower and Brussels Sprount app was to die for. My omelet was so delicious it was like eating heaven! My husband got the shrimp and grits and said it was amazing! Bloody Mary’s were great too!!

Nice, modern, minimalist surrounding, lacking a little warmth. Food was exceptionally good - the fried chicken was perfect and the squid ink pasta so very tasty and done perfectly. From the raw bar, the crab claws were very good, in a sauce that really "punched up" the flavor, the tartare was good quality, but a bit dull.

We would highly recommend eating here and/or just stopping in for a drink. The bartenders were great!

This is my favorite Sunday brunch spot with my husband. We get excited when we come here because the food is always perfect and the service is impeccable! We have yet to make it to dinner or lunch because we can’t get past the scrumptious brunch, to be continued!

Ceviche and Tuna tartare were so small barely enough for one person to have a bite. My mom ordered tuna tartare and they brought it out on my sister’s oyster plate and we did not even notice it portion was so small.
Very $$ and our server was minimally knowledgeable for the level of dining it is trying to represent.
Mahi and Tilefish were very good. Overall not satisfied for the amount of money we spent.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience at Marsh House. Our server was quite knowledgeable and attentive, the food was superb. We especially enjoyed the selection of raw oysters and tried two of each. The gumbo was also very tasty and could imagine sitting in the French Quarter eating it being a New Orleans native.

We started our meal with a few oysters. I ordered several varieties and all were fresh and very tasty. I had a bowl of the gumbo and it may have been the best I’ve ever had. BTW it comes with a scoop of rice in the center and was very filling and after 2 beers all I could eat was a salad and the Bibb salad was great. My wife had the Bibb salad with seared Ahi and the tuna was melt in your mouth tender. Our friends had the whole snapper and I had a taste and that was delicious as well. We finished the night with a drink on the rooftop bar and it was a wonderful evening overall.

Pastries were phenomenal, but we threw away most of our main course meals. Apparently the Tuna Tartar was the only thing liked at the table. Did not have a pleasant experience with our server or the manager.

The breakfast was over the top good! Our omelette was as smooth as silk. Pancakes were perfectly sinful. The location may be a little off-putting to some, since it’s pretty upscale, but it’s worth it not to stand in line for 2-3 hours at some of the other brunch locations in the area. Oh!! The coffee was some of the best I’ve had, almost as good as Paris.

Marsh House, in the Thompson Hotel, would have been a solid 5 stars but it was quite loud until about 8:30 PM. Our server, Tree, was fabulous. She made solid recommendations for appetizers, main course and dessert. We had fried oysters as an appetizer, whole red snapper for two as a main and a decadent chocolate ganache with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. I was charged a modest cork fee to open a bottle of champagne that I brought in. We had well prepared craft cocktails at the bar prior to dinner. Marsh House specializes in southern seafood and I don't think you could be disappointed with any selection. There are meat offerings but why order meat in a seafood restaurant? The Thompson Hotel offers valet parking for $8, cash paid on claiming your car. This is by far your best parking option.

Was disappointed with this restaurant. The wine list was extremely limited and pricey. The fish was salty and dry. Medium steak came out mooing. Service was very good though. Too bad it wasn’t yummy.

I REALLY wanted to like this place. There are very few seafood themed restaurants in Nashville, and I was really hoping this would be a good one. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. I know this is Southern Seafood, but could we give the fryer a break? We started with Beet Salad and Shrimp Toast. The Beet salad was excellent and the presentation was wonderful. The shrimp toast was very odd - flash fried bread that was doughy in the middle dipped in a shrimp mousse. It tasted heavy with frying oil and the texture of the bread was just too weird for me. My wife and I split the whole red snapper as our main meal with the crispy sweet potatoes and they brought us a serving of corn bread as consolation for the shrimp toast. The fish was good - nothing spectacular, but a decent dish (I think the fish was also flash fried). The sweet potatoes were also flash fried and tasted heavy with the same oil taste as the shrimp toast. The corn bread was dense and good with a syrup poured over top. The service was very good and they really tried to make us happy, the food was just not what I was hoping it would be. The ambiance is cozy and warm and romantic. I hope they can revise the menu with some solid dishes and create a "go to" seafood restaurant in Nashville. For now, I would not recommend the Marsh House.
