food and service always good - but the noise level was too high - they do not have enough sound muffling
Going to theater. Service wa a bit iffy. Food very good. Too noisy.
All was as expected and anticipated. A very enjoyable dining experience.
This is a favorite place to go when in New York
Wonderful! Chelsea offered exceptional service! Thank you!
The food was very good.
the variety of the menu was good as well.
The service was excellent.
They accommodate us even though we were more than 1/2 hour late ( but I had called)
I will go back.
Excellent service, fabulous food and an overall great atmosphere! Very enjoyable and special meal for a friends birthday.
We were seeing a show after dinner, and this was a great location. Everyone enjoyed the dinner, service was prompt - they kept things moving (they knew we had a show) but we never felt rushed. We had champagne with dinner and our glasses were always kept full. It was a delightful start to our evening!
The restaurant came highly recommended by a friend and we love French food.
We arrived apparently at a perfect time as there was only one table occupied with 6 women and a few minutes after we arrived the place was packed.
Our server Ken was extremely helpful in assisting us choosing our meals.
My wife had steak frites while I enjoyed the pate and the tuna nicoises. The tuna was probably the best I have had.
The ambiance was nice and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely return the next time we are in NYC .
Food was superb and service was attentive. The only downbeat note is that the hostess seated me at a very small table in the bar area when better tables were available in the main dining area. It was 9:45 pm on a Monday night, so I didn’t complain.
we were very disappointed that they ran out of escargot at 5:30 on a Saturday night. one of the reasons we picked this restaurant is that this dish is one of my husband's favorite.
I love the ambiance of this lovely restaurant and the food has always been fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. One of my favorite pre-theater brunch spots.
The waiter overheard it was our 35th anniversary after taking a gorgeous photo with sunflowers behind us.
Along with our deserts, he gave us an extra cake with a candle and 2 complimentary glasses of desert wine.
That’s class, respect and kindness. Bravo!
It was ok. We sat outside and the waitress had tables in both in and out and sort of forgot about us
Marseille is one of our go-to restaurants when we're going to a Broadway show. The food is consistently great (brunch!), service is top-notch (especially Jason!), cocktails are creative & delish and the ambience takes me back to every quaint, charming Paris bistro I've had the pleasure of visiting. I highly recommend this French delight.
We had a delightful after early theater experience at Marseille. Very quiet ambiance and the service professional and delightful. The best french fries ever and a wonderful frisee salad. My husband loved his seafood burger. A light bite and a great half bottle of wine. Well priced and thoroughly wonderful experience.
Marseille is one of our favorites. We tried to go to Rustic Table for breakfast, but it was too crowded and the reception was not very nice. Luckily, Marseille is a couple of blocks away. Since it was Labor Day, Brunch was offered. We had the Lorraine Omelette, the Egg Bruschetta, the Marseille Burger and a Croissant. Everything was just as we remembered, fantastic! The potatoes and salad mix on the side was great too. This was our last day in NYC and definitely was the icing on the cake!
We had a great time, ambiance and service was great. Good presentation with food.
I recommend Marseille.
Never had anything but excellent food and service here.
Always a pleasure to be here
The food is good. Good restaurant close to Al Hirshfeld Theater.
Sat outside. While we were there received note from open table our reservation had been canceled That should have been our first indication of lack of listening. Never received my appetizer. Waitress said she never heard me. Food was excellent. Would try again but they were missing a beat that day
Love this spot. Our waiter Johnny was excellent! Love the omelette and great drinks.
This was our first time at Marseille; it was recommended to us by a o-worker of mine. We had a reservation and we were met and greeted immediately upon arrival by a very friendly host who sat us right away. We explained we were attending a Broadway show at 7 and it was understood that we were expecting prompt service. Our waiter was able to take our orders and service was efficient and prompt.
We both ordered the trout and it was well seasoned and delicious!!
Thank you for helping to make our friends night out perfect!
We love Marseille. Jason is an awesome waiter. And outstanding with kids!
For a pre theater venue this place fits the bill perfectly. Since we were going to see Moulin Rouge this restaurant was just the right warm up. The ambiance was delightful the food very french and tasty.
Lovely food and atmosphere
Excellent service. Highly recommend.
PreTheater. Fast service. Very loud bistro like atmosphere.
A booth is less loud
We had oysters. Overpriced and tiny
Steak frites very good. Trout good too but with a creamy sauce.
Overall decent food.
Cocktails very good.
We had a wonderful dinner at Marseille! The food was amazing and our server (a newly married young gentleman) was attentive and personable!
Had a lovely experience and meal! The service was excellent.
The food and beverages were outstanding. Amazing coffee and the best mimosa I have ever had.
Marseille continues to turn out French classics with style and care. I suspect they have started to move the prices on the wine list up a bit since we last were there about 6 months ago.
Great food! Close proximity to theatre district. Loved the ambiance and decor
A gem in the theater district: Great menu, great food, well priced. Between the three of us we ordered the seafood burger and the salad nicoise and both were yummy.
Food is delicious - a nice place to go to treat yourself every so often.
Our bottle of wine was kept far from our table and we kept having to ask for it.
Food was delicious, wine list extensive and not too pricey.
We've been to this restaurant many, many times over the years. Everything has been terrific. This time 2 of us were very satisfied with our meals for brunch. The other person had eggs Benedict. She could have gone to IHOP for a better dish at half the price. Someone needs to check on quality control
Nice French Brasserie in Hell’s Kitchen near the Theatre District for a matinee to grab brunch! Have bottomless mimosas, but definitely try their spicy well-balanced Bloody Mary’s! Super salad choices , oysters on the half shell and classic egg dishes with a smooth turnover to get us out to the show in time
