Dear friends and family of Marseille,
As we try to navigate these challenging times, we’ve decided to close for the next few days to assess how we responsibly move forward in the interest of our community and our staff.
Marseille will be closed this evening, Sunday, March 15 through to Sunday, March 22. We tentatively plan to the following week; however, we will follow federal, state, and city-wide mandates and take any necessary measures that serves everyone best.
As always, thank you for your on-going support and we look forward to welcoming you all again very soon. For any updates, please visit our website.

Always a wonderful dining experience. Looking forward when the restaurant reopens again.
We had THE most lovely time at Marseille! The staff was so kind and happy with us, and the food and drinks were sublime (am still remembering the duck ~ so delicious!). This dinner was especially precious to us: I had made reservations originally for 6PM and then we were all to go see COMPANY~Broadway (our friends/business associates from Texas flew in the day before to see Broadway shows, and saw the news about Broadway closing down an hour before they landed!). I modified our Marseille time to 7:30PM, so we went to Birdland's 5:30PM show and then came to Marseille!). THANK YOU, MARSEILLE! Our pals had such a lovely time and they felt pampered and cared for, and it really made the whole weekend brighter! On Saturday, our pals talked again about how marvelous Marseille was and the food there, and it made the whole weekend easier for me because they went back to Texas sooooo happy!
It was wonderful to support Marseille at this difficult time when so many restaurants and businesses are struggling. The food was delicious, as I’ve always found there, and we couldn’t have been welcomed more warmly by the host and our server.
The food was great as was the attention from staff!
Very nice atmosphere, great food and perfect service.
Marseille is a reliable, consistent French bistro with a very good traditional menu, a perfect spot of pre- or post-theater dinner.
Good service and okay food but pricey.
Quick assessment by our server allowed a very Tasty and pleasant meal and the theater on time! (And we were running late!)
love love love the food but it is getting much too noisy
Marseille provides a lovely, peaceful respite from Manhattan hubbub. Service is attentive and friendly, without being overbearing. Wine is reasonably priced and of good quality. Pate and cauliflower appetizers were delicious, as were all our entrees and desserts. An excellent neighborhood find!
I've been here often and the restaurant never disappoints. They're experts at getting you out on time for theater. Very personable staff.
Dinner for 4. Entrees included fish steak and chicken. All excellently prepared and nicely presented. Solid friendly service in an attractive setting. Definitely recommended.
I keep on returning to Marseilles because everything there shows they care. When you arrive. They’re happy to see you. Your reservation is ready.
Tour wait staff looks at you and asks what would you like to have while you’re waiting for the rest of your party.
The foodis carefully prepared though I personally would like more bread!
Charming and reliable bistro in the theater district. Good food comes out hot, tasty, with enough time for that final espresso. It’s noisy, but you’re in the theater district.
Beautiful meal, not too loud which is great for me since I am hearing impaired. Everything was delicious and it was a hop, skip away from the theater. It is isn't cheap but it's worth it for a special meal.
All aspects of dinner were excellent. We all enjoyed our meals. Definitely would go back and refer to friends. It was referred to us by a New York friend.
Good reliable friendly place for pre-theatre. The menu has a good range and plenty of light things so not everyone has to be the same degree of hungry. The interior has been spruced up but with that it has become more expensive.
Once again Marseille dining experience was excellent. Food scrumptious. Service excellent. Will definitely be back
Great food and servicr
Go here!!! You won’t regret it!!
Good service, reasonable portions, extensive though expensive wine list. Well situated for the theater district. Would go again.
We have always enjoyed the food but on Sunday the noise level was so unremitting and excessive that we could hear nothing anyone said. NYC restaurants are noisy; Marseille is alas one of the noisiest.
