Our service was not good. Just a few tables seated but we waited a long time for drinks and Burned bread 🥖 I wish I had taken a picture. We asked for non burned bread and received a single plate of 3 slices bread for 9 people.
The service was inattentive - the food was pretty good, but the burned bread and lack of attention colored our experience.
Good service. Wonderful selection and delicious food. Very pleasant atmosphere. Party of eight. Loved it.
We eat here quite often. The menu has changed, as it goes several tines a year, and the changes are generally very good. That sad, the polenta as side dish had been sitting under the heat lamp too long and was not in the best form as a result. Nice to see women wait staff too--they had been noticeably absent of late. Still the best bet for pre-theatre in the theatre district.
Perfect pre theatre venue; reliable bistro food.
Overall, nothing to complain. Tasty food and great service.
Ali was a fabulous waiter. Group of 9 came back the next night to see him again. What a jewel.
Service was good but food was just ok.
We were not as thrilled with our dinners as we usually are. My dinner partners did not like the salad dressing. And the mussels were too salty
I enjoyed my vegetable couscous.
We could not have good conversation. Too loud in there.
A wonderful pre theater spot and overall a very positive experience. We arrived later than desired and
advised a 7:00 curtain and they assured and delivered that we'd be on time.
Great value. Not exactly near theaters, but within 10 minutes of most Broadway shows
Great food and service - always!
We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The waiter was attentive. And our order was served in a timely fashion.
Great brunch in nice atmosphere. Great service
Food was very good. Pate was top notch and the steaks were perfectly cooked. Wine was very good but a little pricey. Service was a bit slow particularly getting drinks and we seemed to have multiple waiters which I found confusing. But overall we had a very good time.
I enjoyed a pre-theater dinner with my husband. We were seated promptly, with our reservation. Drinks were good. Grilled octopus appetizer was great. Also enjoyed the mussels and hanger steak. Definitely we will return. Randi M, Great Neck
Morgan’s smile was gorgeous.
Always exceeds expectations.
The ambience is classy and quaint. The waiter was friendly and informative. The food was flavorful; It would be good to have more cheese options to put on my burger like cheddar, swiss or blue cheese, and when the entree arrived, we had to ask for condiments, which should have been provided by the waiter without asking. I will return since the food and service is consistent.
Everything was great except that the short ribs were dry
Dinner with friends from Seattle!
Everything was perfect. The food couldn't have been better: crispy duck on top of grand marnier sauce, creamy polenta with gruyere with parmesan, pasta with lots of lobster claws in a light lobster cream sauce, perfect lamb and more...The whole family loved it!
We love the omelets and house wines. So tasty and it feels like a little bit of France in NYC.
This must have been our third or fourth time back. The service, food quality and menu selections were absolutely amazing. These are ALL the reasons why we keep returning. It’s become one of our favorite pre-theater lunch spots in New York City
we have gone to this place pre-theatre in the past and liked it better than we did this time. The menu seemed very limited unless you wanted eggs. No chicken caesar salad on the menu which was disappointing. the bread served prior to the real was very good.
The Lorraine omelette, crab bruschetta and short rib with polenta were delicious.
Bottomless mimosas at brunch were a bonus.
Cozy atmosphere with warm service.
Look forward to dining here again in February on our next visit to NYC.
Better than usual. No complaints. Love this place.
Pleased with everything
Food was very good. We had the duck, halibut and chicken. All we happy with their choice.
Restaurant is french in theme.
Just a note that portions are small, especially the duck.
Our server was very attentive and everyone was happy with their meals. We had plenty of time to get to our show on time.
Thoroughly enjoyed a pre-theater lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. We had omelette which came with salad or fries but the menu included salads, sandwiches, as well as meals. Very pleasant start to our afternoon of fun.
Tuvimos problemas con la limpieza de las copas pero nos solucionaron el problema y las cambiaron
Always excellent and such a comfortable place to eat with a group, or alone. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Our go-to restaurant. I had the Pasta Aragosta - essentially, a light lobster Newburgh over al dente small pasta shells. Delicious! My partner had moules frites for the umpteenth time - he can’t get enough here. He drinks the broth like a soup. Ali, our waiter, was attentive and friendly. We live this place.
Food was very good. Nice menu selection. Waiter was friendly and helpful.
Another amazing donning experience. Good service scrumptious food
Good choice for theater district brunch. Breakfast and lunch choices. Kitchen was a little slow considering it was theater district- so go early.
Food was great, but as in most city restaurants, tables are right on top of each other. Our table was actually 8" away from the one next to us, to a point that you could not get up to go to the bathroom without having the other table moved out of the way. So don't expect to have conversations without sharing with the table next to you. If you are a steak tartare person, they do an excellent presentation on a wood cutting board.
I was disappointed this time: the mussels were cold, the fries (they didn't qualify as "frites") were mushy and somewhat greasy, cold american fries instead of thin, crispy french frites. I asked for mustard for my frites and was served Grey Poupon, rather than some good Amora moutarde that they could have purchased at Zabars or Jerry's in Englewood NJ. They should contact the bartender at Nizza next door (same company) for his recipe for Negroni.
On the positive side, the goat milk cheese cake with the olive -date jam was REALLY good. And the latte was also very well done.
Next time I'll stick to brunch and the Moroccan omelette
Meeting friends from out of town
One of my favorite neighborhood go to places. The pre-theatre crowd is a bit loud but once they leave the noise level is bearable. Great food, great wine list, attentive service. Prices are fair for the quality you receive.
